- Avicularia avicularia , The Common Pink Toe, Pairing
Today we are pairing our common Pink Toe, these are a gorgeous arboreal spider from Central America commonly kept in the hobby, generally this species breeds without to much drama and the males often live to see another day, you will see in this video the subtle ways he talks to her and manoeuvres her ready for insemination.
Look out for our Rehouse and Care video coming soon 👍

Dim the lights. Cue the Barry White….
Epic! Well done lil guy! She did play hard to get at first!!
She played hard to get but the little guy rocked her world !
He sure did on a couple of occasions😂😂
My goodness Dave they are such acrobats I'm very interested in breeding my female and just love getting this look ahead. You and Camera Master just always do such a wonderful job. And your narrating Dave always makes it so easy to understand what's happening ❤
Thank you I appreciate your support ❤️❤️👍
Wow, he sure worked some kind of magic on her. Respect, Mr. Avic! 😉
I just love pinkies. There are more striking Ts but there's something almost.... fashionable? about them. Like a smart business suit, with just a pop of color at the neck tie.
Very well put my friend 👍👍
Love how they walk they definitely got a cool look how they be stepping
That male worked some magic, did the foot rub, back rub, and then had stamina to boot😂😂👊🏼
What a beautiful pairing! A bit of silly forplay & the way she laid back & rested... they are your Valentine’s sweethearts ❣️
Hey Dave! Im actually very surprised as I wasn’t even know that you having Avicularias! :) Beautiful couple! :) Its amazing to see how calm they are, especially the female!
There very chilled spiders 👍
Most of the other pairings I have watched are over in the blink of an eye (flashback to 14.. Umm. Where was I?) Over in the blink of an eye. They seem to be genuinely having fun rather than please don't eat BAM outta here...... Did you notice smoke coming out of the enclosure from two tarantula sized cigarettes after it was over?
😂😂👍
What a vision😅
Nice footage and a species, that I loved from the beginning of my keeping and breeding tarantulas onwards. Keep up the good work!
Thank you my friend 👍

Great camera work. Some really good shots and very informative 👍
Thank you my friend👍
Freaking Awesome David 😎
Brilliant video my friend. Please god she don’t eat the sac again. Fingers crossed for loads of babies . THanks for the upload 🕷🕷🕷
Incredible footage, Dave ! Rarely do we get a good view of the insemination process. The more I see the classic Avic, the more I notice they're not as plain looking as some make them out to be. I've been reading super old original ATS newsletters from the late '70s over last week, these along with B. hamorii, T. albopilosus, T. vagans and P. cancerides were the Ts of the day. Gotta love the hobby classics. Fingers crossed for a successful 2nd attempt and a good sac. Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
They really are lovely mate I have cancerides too and think there very underrated spiders 👍
Very nice vid, was able to capture the insertion. Epic.
That is the most cute boy like his eyes 👀 😍
Absolutely fascinating what a film
Thanks Dave brilliant
Thank you so much Carlos glad you enjoyed it 👍
Beautiful bonking Spiders !!!!
Awesome pairing Dave, looking forward to the nxt 👌
Nice pairing Dave!!! Best wishes for lots of babies. Tyfs God bless you
My avic passed due to unknown causes the other day, very upsetting😔
This happens sometimes there still so much to learn from our spiders
All that tapping and stroking's even got me in the mood lol. Good job all amazing video very interesting pairing indeed.
The mrs literally just said to me, how do ts mate.
The Beastie room was there with the answer
Great video dave n cheers for the red runner colonies this week
No worries glad you enjoyed , theres a few pairing films coming up 😂👍
Oh wow!! This is the first time I have seen this, THANK YOU 😊 absolutely fascinating and beautiful 🤍🤍🤍
Your very welcome ❤️
@@daveslittlebeasties thank you for taking the time to reply 😁
That was very cool every pairing i'm on the edge lol the hair on their body look like fiber optic filaments i like it its really nice
Yes it gets the heart racing dont it 👍
Dave I've been watching your videos for a long time and this is one of the best examples of insemination that you have produced
Awesome commentary and nice video! :)
That was great to watch Dave and an amazing tarantulas I've just got me a juvi so placid thanks for sharing
They are a lovely group of spiders👍
that was very interesting! Good luck on the eggs.
Thank you 👍
What a lovely furry carapace the male has. All soft looking like a child’s soft toy. Excellent video as always. X
😊 thank you
Beautiful 💖 Such an amazing thing to witness and what a champ that male was! I hope you get a successful sac from this! 🤞😁
He has been in a couple of times with her and another female so 🤞
Amazing
Awesome video Dave its amazing how the pairings differ from species to species isn't it
👍Yes they all have there own language very interesting 👍
Wot a good pairing hope ya days going well dave
Cheers buddy 👍
Well that was probably the most relaxed an interesting pairing I've seen.
Cheers John 👍
Awsome shots great vid
Thank you👍
Brilliant pairing. Hopefully You’ll have a successful eggsac
That was truly amazing, very informative and great camera-work. So often we hear inverts are just instincts and reflexes but there seemed to be way more going on with this negotiation.
They all have a very complex language which is fascinating and varies between the species they all talk in a slightly different way 👍
Another fantastic video Dave, need to get one of them of you
Hopefully be a good sack 👍🤞
I just found this one. Very interesting! He did a good job of convincing her.
Knees were buckling
LMAOO! 😂
Well what a handsome male that is lol
He aint bad is he 😂😂😂👍
Your videos are grea! Your mating ones are fantasic! I have learned so much! I have watch and subscibe to other people for a few years but I have learned more in the week since I have subcribed to you than the others combined. Thank you very much!
Awesome! Thank you! and welcome ❤️👍
That was a nice pairing she was playing hard to get at first
She soon gave up 😂😂👍
With your accent Dave I felt like I was watching a national geographic episode on spiders lol
Thats a compliment thank you matey 👍👍
Amazing footage Dave. In a few months time put me down for 10 of the offspring
You will see them go up on my Facebook but I will try and remember Steve👍
@@daveslittlebeasties That would be great Dave. Not a big facebook fan.........
Best video I’ve seen of insertion! Very informative! Thank you!
Thank you ❤️
Avics,my favourites,everyone should one ♥️
Great video Dave!
Amazing footage of the insertion!!!
Thank you John 👍
12:21 idk if spiders can make faces but his face is quite funny
I love your videos Dave, thank you as always!
❤❤❤❤
Nice
outstanding pairing Video!
Thank you very much!
Cool guys❤
I believe this was my first tarantula ever.. I had arachnophobia because of the movie and I decided to get one to get out of the Fear
Omg you too? I thought I was the oddball who got it from that movie! Let me guess, you were very young? I was. Anyway, yeah, the more I watch his videos the less intense my phobia is. It's still there, but I can sort of understand the critters a little more.
@@bloodwolfgurl yea I was young I’m 36 now so I was about 10-11 mayb younger
Amazing video!
I recently got a pink toe and im having trouble getting her to get comfortable. My new cage she hasn't webbed at all in 2 weeks. Any advice for home or care id greatly appricate. Awesome videos !
I keep all my sling avics in small containers with some bark to hide id and feed fruit flies as some are timid when very young 👍
Very sweet
Great pairing fingers crossed for an eggsack
I sure hope so 😂👍
Amazing close-ups Camera Lady! Dave, have you done or would you do one on their eyes?
No we havent yet ?????
❤️👍
@@daveslittlebeasties I am just really curious about their eyes. These teensy little glittery specks is all I can discern.
These are so fun to pair ! We paired ours about 3 months ago and she's fat as heck and is now laying the groundwork for her sack !!! For which we are both excited and scared ...we have never bred this species and hear they can be difficult to get a successful sack from so here's to ringers crossed for us both !
Good luck mine eat hers on the day I was going to pull it , we will see what happens this time 👍
Hey how did your pairing go. Was the sack successful?
Hey Dave I rescued a pink toe from pet smart had to buy her with enclosure cause she had an egg sacked; which she was guarding the best she could but in my heart I knew it was a phantom sack so I rehouse her the next day and took away her phantom egg sack! My question will she hold a grudge against me? 😌
No they forget almost immediately 👍
Their nervous systems aren't complex enough for that haha. It's the same reason why you can't teach a tarantula anything
You didnt "save" her, you just gave them your money to buy more tarantulas to out in the same situation. Its a very common mistake people make 🙁
very very nice thank you merci beaucoup
You are so welcome!
Did he get out? He was really pushing his luck at round 2!
Yes he did cat, he also managed to mate another once with this female and twice with another and has now been sent on to spread the love else where ❤️👍😂
@@daveslittlebeasties Wow! The Mack Daddy of spiders! 😂
Very stubborn lol
Hi Dave! Which live plants can I put in my terrarium for avics? Wanna create a Bioactive enclosure 😁
I use any house plants that I like the look of there all safe that I have found 👍
She looks shiny maybe a premolt?
She only moulted out 4 weeks ago Sara so I hope not 😂😂
💚💚💚
Who says romance is dead.
Its alive and flourishing in the Beastie Room 😂😂😂👍
I don't think he can be any cuter.
He’s for sale lol
10:06: It's 1 embolus, 2 emboli.
Really pretty spiders. I have a male avicavic who has hooked out but how do I know if he is carrying sperm? Do they have to recharge palpal bulbs? I guess I'm asking if they don't find a female will the sperm go bad and will he have to build another sperm web.
Once he has built his sperm web he will last plenty of time to find a female
The males put hooks in them? Damn, no wonder the females get pissed off & try to eat them lol.
Where's ur girlfriend shelia iam not done yet ,
