Watching him struggle with that 4 pin connector just makes me grateful for my dremel. I haven't had a case that i haven't dremeled at least once in the last 20 years when i build computers...it is a little more work but makes cable management that much easier for me. Just a little sanding to fix the jagged edges
Got this but 650w and damn it took 5 hours to complete and an extra hour to put on the back panel it was just so tricky and the cables were thick hope its worth it but right now 10/10 would not regret thanks for the help
@@mdb1010 Nvidia recommends a 650W for 3070 and 750w for 3080 but they can draw more than that sometimes. So I’d say 700w for 3070 and 800w for 3080 just to be safe.
Question, I see a lot of psu’s that don’t line up with the screws in the back of the 30l I I’m new to this so I really don’t know what I’m looking for my budget is low atm do you have any suggestions? Nothing I see online looks like the screws will line up.

This came stock with a 500 w bronze coolermaster psu. Do i need to upgrade the psu? If so how do i know if what im buying will fit. The psu looks to be pretty crammed in there. Idk if it can handle much larger dimensions than it currently has.
The 500w psu that comes with the 30L is super annoying as the fan turns on and off depending on temp. Thanks for this video as it was very helpful as I swapped PSU's out. Question though. Would a 650 W psu be enough to power 2080 or better? Mine came with 2060. Thanks!
I recently bought an Omen 30L because I've been searching for a video card for a year and have had no luck. I'm essentially replacing evrything except the 3700x,mobo, and 3070... My question is, is there any parts that are harder to swap than others with this being a pre-built? I don't want to run into a buncha stuff hot glued or something...
I did the same AIO cooler and 650 psu upgrade about 2 months ago all the sudden when booting up my system is freezing and when I try to shut it down it just keeps spinning any suggestions ?
Will placing the fan facing down choke the PSU? I know that there is a mesh opening on the bottom but it looks like it only goes for half of the power supply and the other half of the fan is blocked.

When you put your liquid cooler in did you have any issues with coil whine afterwards? I don’t know if it’s related but right after I installed my liquid cooler, upon initial start up there is no coil whine. When you start a game suddenly there is coil whine and it gets louder as things ramp up. I have the 30l with the Ryzen 7 3700 and the GeForce RTX 2060.

Hello, All the PSU am seeing has fans at the top, how come yours doesn't have and the link you posted also has the fan at the top. Won't it be dispensing heat from the PSU to the GPU

Hey you can get the extra 8gb of the hyper x like what is in it. I also used a kit of G.Skill Flare X and G.Skill Trident Z Neo is all ways a great option

@@JeffTheITGuy It really is as far as prebuilt pc. I have built I9's and Ryzen 7 4700G recently and getting very expensive to part out builds to save money. Some of the other major companies are no where close to HP's power of large buying. Just not like a couple years ago always saving cash to build your own and generally a lot of fun and education. Hope it comes back though. Have seen a lot of hobby industries die because electronics are so integrated today you cannot build the gear cheaper anymore.

@@mik8696 make sure you have power to your GPU and that it is using 8 pins and not 6. Also, make sure you are plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard

A 650w if it is gold rated can handle a better than a 2080

You can upgrade the PSU without having to do other upgrades. Not sure why you would unless you plan on upgrading the cpu,motherboard and GPU

Yeah it does, it pulls air from the bottom as long as there is ventilation

I flipped it over, and power supplies exhaust heat out the back, the fan on top is to pull cool air in

Could be the PSU, could be the GPU is bad or overheating,
What should I try changing first? It happens with every game! I tried some mining on it. It’s works perfectly fine, the only issue is with the games.
@@devamsharma9763 have you tried to make sure the drivers are up to date? I’d warranty it before trying to work on it

Depends really. If you need better cooling, more hard drives, or more space in general then yes. If not, then nah

The old cables are attached to the old PSU. So you have to remove the old PSU and then add the new one.

Hey there, I have successfully changed my power supply but my lights won’t turn on anymore. I have a Omen 25l.
There is a daughter board that requires power in the bottom front of the case.

It’s mostly about the size of the PSU. Look at the length of the Corsair RMx750. That would be the largest PSU length wise

Depends on which 3080. I would say not though, they are large cards in a small case.

Yeah it’s a beast. There is a screw by the power supply, make sure you get that and then just pry the back panel off
