When using the radiator fan as an exhaust it is using the hot air that the gpu is pushing out to “cool” the radiator switching to intake just makes sense to me and I’m more than happy with the results
Weird. That’s not how radiator fans are designed to work. The heat from the CPU is transferred to the radiator via the liquid and the heat is rejected to the outside of the case by the air moved from the exhaust fan. (I’m an HVAC contractor BTW.) But you may have accidentally stumbled into a decent theory…. What may be happening is you’re taking the room air (much cooler air than the air in the case) and running it across the radiator which allows more heat to be absorbed from the AIO radiator. You’re rejecting that heat into the case, which can’t be good, but then it is almost immediately removed by the 92mm fan. I might have to give this a shot and see what happens.

RPM does not determine how good a fan cools. @@JeffTheITGuy wel right now my cpu is at a stable 60/61 degrees so
Quick question so both the fan for the aio and front are 120mm and the rear 92mm?
Correct!
@@JeffTheITGuy Im thinking about getting the NF-A12x25 PWM chromax for the two 120mm and the NF-a9 chromax pwm for the 92mm one. Do you think these would be a good combo and reduce the temps by a lot? Other better options?
@@flake8114 oh yeah the chromax Noctua fans are as good as they get.
@@JeffTheITGuy Also last question are that fan good for radiators aswell? Heard you need some type of static pressure ones
@@flake8114 they are great all around. I typically use Noctua for all of my high end builds. They are silent, have great static pressure and great airflow.
Would a 500w psu handle the upgrades to the fans and the aio cooler or do I need to upgrade it? Thank you in advance!
500w is fine for the fans and AIO
@@JeffTheITGuy awesome thank you! I’ve been having temp problems so I decided to upgrade to the coolermaster AIO and upgrade fans. Hopefully watching your videos will help me do this myself.
@@TheDailyDabular they have helped quite a few other folks. I can’t say how many for sure but in the thousands I’d guess. Good Luck!!!!
@@JeffTheITGuy Perfect! I have one more question. Did you keep the rear/top as exhaust fans and only have the one intake fan?
@@TheDailyDabular yeah, I did the top as an exhaust because heat rises and to me it seems like it can help dissipate more heat from the whole case
Good afternoon
I purchased rgb fans that are linked on video and mine came with 2 cables ? For each fan
Yes
Let me rephrase that one fan has two wires coming out the rgb how do I connect this.
@@mikediz2775 one should be to the Mobo and one is to daisy chain to other fans
Link is for rgb pro 3 pack and they did not work on my 30l sadly
How did u make the rbg on the aio cooler work? And also, is the original coolermaster psu that came with is is good?
To get the RGB on the cooler to work you need a RGB make to make connector to connector to the spare lead that is in the top of the case
@@JeffTheITGuy oo cool! Which 4 pin should i run for the plitter?
@@jesseandrewofficial1599 the RGB on the cooler has a female connector and the extra lead in the case is a female. So get the male extension and run it to both
Cable extender link is missing, please.
So top and front fans are 120mm and rear is 92mm?
Correct!
Would these happen to work with a fan deck by chance? I'd love to have some exterior knobs to fiddle with. I currently have a stick AIO cooled 10700k with the 3070 30l.
Either way I think I'll be mimicking what you've done with yours. Great video!
Not sure if it’ll work with a fan deck or not. It may, never tried. Thanks for watching. If you give the fan deck a try let me know!
@@JeffTheITGuy will do. I'm a little hesitant to try the fan deck without a guide and will probably just pick up the fans you point to in your description and the h60 AIO. The coolermaster you installed in that other video is sold out at the moment. Unless you'd suggest not to? I have built my own rigs in the past, but with the main components being so hard to get now. This is my first prebuilt machine in about two decades. It's been a learning experience to be sure and these guides are super helpful.
@@SmooreMC85 yeah the NZXT M22 and the Corsair H60 work
Thanks for the video. Curious how did you get the liquid cooler attached to the top of the case. Mine is air cooled but when trying to upgrade to liquid no place to mount the radiator. There is a metal plate there!! Blocking the air flow. I took that off but no mounting holes for rad and fans. Did your 30l come with liquid cooling?thanks
My plate had 4 punch out plates and you punched those metal plates out and it makes a cross pattern and you attach the cooler there.
@@JeffTheITGuy yeah!! I figured that out later after I had posted the comment lol. Wasn't extremely obvious but thx 😅!! I wish this thing had back plate access!! Still putting off this project.
Do the Corsair 120 RBG work with the Omen MB or is intervention needed
Intervention is needed

Where did you install the fan that was on the right side in the beginning of the video? I thought it was going to go on the back sorry I’m a bit confused.
Which fan? The one in the rear or the front of the case?
@@JeffTheITGuy the rear of the case.
@@juannava6611 yeah I didn’t go back and do it, I didn’t have the right fan at the time. It’s a 90mm fan that is needes

is the one on the top of the case an exhaust or intake?
I use it as exhaust
what about adding a extra fan to the bottom of the case?
I don’t think that you can
I added a 120mm to the bottom as intake and it just lays down nicely in front of my PSU.
i got the corsair 120 mm RGB fan for the top would i need a slitter for mine ? it wont fit the one hanging out top of case

hmm... another doubt... isn't the SP120RGB 3-pin? And the connector for the OMEN 4-pin?

It looks like there is room to add another fan in the front panel above the original fan is that possible with the motherboard?
There isn't room, it is sealed off and has hard drive cages behind it. If you mean on top, there is no ventilation
also the rear fan should be an intake so it can direct fresh cool air from outside into the aio.
Then it messes with the pressure in the case. You would have to swap the back 92mm to be intake and the front to be exhaust. They way that it is done here causes a natural flow of the air and allows for air to move over the VRMs. More to cooling that just the chip.
