    Holy shishkabob, that was amazing. I tried brioche years ago, but threw my hands up thinking I'd never be able to brioche. Now, with a little more knitting understanding, along with your clear and calm teaching, I am so ready to take it on again. I watched this video, glued to my seat, as if I were watching the most riveting movie ever, hahaha! Thank you, Stephen!!! xo!

    You Stephen are 'The Bomb' - you have such flare and genuine love for what you do, and it clear you desire that others should not just follow you parrot fashion but give vent to their own, for what of a better expression, Inner Stephen.... don't worry, we all know there's only one Stephen West.... would we want it any other way...

    I do have one question however. I'm left handed, a natural left hander - I know there are some people who while they write with their left hand, do things like knitting, as they were taught, right handed! I am a true left hander, and do find, a lot of patterns do not consider us and we have to make our own allowances which can take even more time! Do you have any tips to make things easier for us....were not a minority, even though it may appear so! I thank you in anticipation of your very kind help...xx

      So far I just do things in reverse following the pattern. Lft to--->right side row Rt to lft

    • @IzzyisDizzyandFizzy
      @IzzyisDizzyandFizzy 3 роки тому

      I’m a leftie and fairly new to knitting but I’ve given this a lot of thought. I follow the instructions which means I’ll get a mirror image of what a right handed person would get. On most patterns it doesn’t make a difference I guess it would be obvious on asymmetric patterns. Also when knitting shaped panels you’d probably end up with a “left” piece when following instructions for a “right” and vice versa. Hope this helps

    • @marshalucky
      @marshalucky 3 роки тому

      Growing up in the 50's you were not allowed to be left handed. So I do lots of things right handed. But left hands runs in my family. Most of us are lefties....I guess I knit rt handed never knew until someone told me I was doing it wrong. 🙃

    Oh wow! I love this one. I love watching your tutorial videos. It’s like a relaxation thing for me! 😂 I’ve not yet ventured into one of your patterns! There are so many to choose from! Do u have any idea of the yardage needed for the bubble rows. Was wondering if I could use some minis for this?

  • @zelenaharper8341
    @zelenaharper8341 3 роки тому

    I'm on about my tenth try and I just can't get the 8 in a row. Sadz. At least I already know the bubble stitch because I learned that last week for a shawl I was designing before I saw yours. So if I ever get past the first section I should be ok.

    AND IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CIRCULAR NEEDLE LIKE ME HOW DO YOU DO IT OR WORK IT?

    • @missmeg4199
      @missmeg4199 3 роки тому +1

      It would be more fiddly, but you could do it by finishing up the row with color A. Then slipping your stitches back on the left-hand needle one by one. Then you would be ready to work the next row with color B.

    • @iyawakarehen
      @iyawakarehen 3 роки тому

      honestly you should invest in an interchangeable circulars set because, unless you have giant needles and the patience to slip everything back on your other needle for the brioche parts, the amount of stitches you get as a shawl grows gets insane and it will not fit on a straight needle (+it would be heavy af and murder your wrists). just to give you an idea, a shawl i knit recently ended with almost 500 stitches and even on a one (1) metre long cord, it was c r o w d e d and had been for a while before that to begin with.
