Thank you for this. I bought the book from a yarn shop and while knitting is not at the top of my list of skills I want a shawl and am going to try knitting my first one. This design seems something a little less complicated than some of the glorious newer shawls on offer but no less effective, depending on colour choices. Watching things done makes what I'm supposed to do so much clearer than just reading notes I'm not an expert at reading.
If all goes well I'll go for another pattern to learn more knitting techniques, and thank you more.
