Awwww, I couldn't wait to get home to see if my squirrels made it through Hurricane Irma. Even though my backyard was a disaster, and several sections of my fence were on the ground, as soon as the squirrels seen me, they made their way around all the debris , and patiently waited for some pecans!
Where are you in Florida? I live in south Florida, no squirrels where I live so I feed the birdies instead🐥 Irma snapped their homes🌴🌴🌴 in half and placed them on the carport, thankfully no damage to the carport. We do have other🌴🌴🌴trees for them to move into🐥🐥🐥
Bunneeluvr ...I am in Bradenton, FL which is South of Tampa and North of Sarasota. I was in a flood zone, so, I had no choice but to evacuate. My trees were torn apart, there is hardly anything left. Where do you live in Florida? Did you stay safe? ?
Making those noises do help. It relaxes them for whatever reason. All the squirrels in our whole neighborhood calm down when I make tsktsktsk noises. It is fun to watch them look at you funny xD
I'm in Corpus Christi. the squirrel that visits my porch dug up the nuts from all my potted plants two weeks after Harvey when I returned and put the plants back out. And that's after I filled his two containers he shares with the birds. Felt so bad I bought him organic non gmo nuts both in and out of shell and fresh fruits and veggies. Now he's back at feeling secure and sharing more with the birds. Lol. These little guys make you appreciate The Creator. Thanks for sharing. God Bless you.
I live in FL and have an Egret named grobbie that has been coming every summer for 5 years and the day before Irma he came and stayed half the night but when we woke he was gone and we were soooo worried about him then two days after Irma there he was hungry and begging for food. Its funny to see this big ass egret sitting on your windowsill tapping on the window trying to get food. Needless to say we were very happy to him.
Thank you for taking the time to post these videos. With so much negativity & atrocities happening in our world, I find your videos bring a smile to my face & lighten my heart a bit. I also get joy out of how much you seem to love & appreciate your wildlife! I Look forward to seeing your future videos as I sit in my bubble bath each night watching. Thank you!
i feed a cat colony, and i adopt abused and disabled cats. so right now i feed 17 cats, 2 of my own in doors, and one skinny raccoon! Yay! i always love it when i see an animal lover, who is also willing to feed the squirrels. they eat so little and are so friendly!
I`m glad you are all ok. My beloved uncle lives in West Palm Beach, we`ve been there this year, in February, such a lovely place, we`ll be back next February. Stay safe. Send some scratches to squirrels :-)
Wow beautiful view around the house .the squirrels are very faithful to you they are not going any where waiting for you this is a real friendship. Your house not to mush damage I think of those beautiful creatures they pray for you to keep safe with your family
His (her) buddies are all watching where the nuts are being buried, and so are the blue jays. GREAT job feeding the backyard creatures!!! Their worth the money spent for food & feeders.
I just LOVE the cover pic for this video! What a cute little squirrel face!! Your kindness and love for all of your animal friends just shines through! Thank you for sharing your life with a bunch of strangers.....who are fast becoming friends!
Bet this was refreshing to see!! Not only that they are alive!! Aww so happy! Lol but to just see something so cute and beautiful after something so ugly and sad..something as simple as a squirrel survivor lol to chill with and feed nuts to after irma would feel like the world hasn't ended yet and put a smile on my face 😀..i have a few i feed and now everytime i open my blinds their they are! Lol its very cute..very nice helping the little guys out! They need love too during a time like that 😁 any animal big or small for that matter....
This reminds me of my BIL in Tampa. He is always feeding and taking cate of his yard squirrels. He has bags of peanuts for them and has boxes for them also. I haven't been down since the storm but, have heard his babies seemed to make it through ok.
I live just outside of Tampa. We have a little over an acre of land, with lots of trees. Irma took out every single squirrel nest there was. The squirrels all survived. They must’ve been hanging on those branches, for dear life. Great video.
doesn't look like you got a lot of damage. must be your good karma for being so kind to nature! those little nursing females were hungry, huh?! that one thought she was a chipmunk trying to cram so many in her mouth. so cute!
Larry N I'm helping the stupid people. Stupid people make non-Issues into big problems. First you start feeding the squirrels, then the raccooons catch wind, and then your neighbor's pet Fluffy gets found mauled in her driveway, but you didn't see anything. "I've been living here 20 years and we never had raccoons until recently. I hope nobody is feeding them" your elder Tory neighbor says, as you hide your shame and feign sympathy.
Your so cool, I love it when a man can help the critters in their back yards. And I found you and your channel. You my man are AOK in my book. At-a-boy!!!
They are wonderful and entertaining, if you understand they are wild and not the most brilliant of rodents. Even if you raise one from a pinkie, and I don't recommend it, there will come a time when you'll be bitten hard or find something utterly destroyed, or your friends will be attacked when they visit. Rehabbed baby squirrels may never forget you in their short lives, but they are like miniature raccoons in terms of destructiveness and primal urges.
I'd consider myself very blessed by God to have such great friends like these squirrels. Many years ago; i was homeless outside of joplin, Missouri during winter, i was blessed to make really good friends with 2 packs of wild wolves. We respected each others distance, but looked out for each other. Those squirrels might be angels in disguise, why not?!
They are so funny to watch at my house. I used to have one that almost ate from my hand but my neighbor didn't treat him the same so he still comes to eat of course. I have a chipmunk I rescued whose hole flooded. He knew I gave him organic cashews and grapes and a water dish. He started to "bury" some of the bust in the towel in the box. It was in may of this year and it was chilly. He was so cold he didn't even run from me when I found him. So I was able to pet the chipmunk which was neat. I let him go and he ran up my pant leg to hide, which was funny. He scampered off and comes for nits daily. His tail is short and he doesn't run from us like he used too. All these little critters are pretty neat. Glad yours survived the storm. I have the video of the chipmunk in his box on my channel and an opossum hanging almost by his tail eating hummingbird food. Funny animals.
I noticed some babies around my house that seem to look as if they are partial red/gray hybrid. South Louisiana has red, gray, and black squirrels. I've seen the reds and the grays on my property. Usually during the fall and winter I can put out dried 🌽 on the cob hanging from branches and they tend to put on a show...
I feed my squirrels too. I throw their food out in different areas of the yard so they still have to semi hunt for it. I don't want them to be too domesticated.
You can't domesticate a creature just like that, it''s a process that takes "some" generations, but I get what you mean and I think you made the better choice by doing it that way^^
Nice. Reminds me of when I fed a few different wild bird species on my balcony. Must have been some 6-7 years ago. Anyway, I was away for a few days and when I came back, they were freaking angry and tried to attack me. They came to expect my daily feeding, so I learned the hard way not to make them dependent. I didn't immediately get what was going on, so I waved my hands in anger and shouted at them for being this ungrateful with me. Didn't seem fair at the time, that they would do that after I cared so much for them.
All creatures great and small somehow know we are all trapped here together, helping each other out makes perfect sense.Unlike the animal man, other forms show gratitude, they do not forget you helped them.
I feed 6 squirrels here in Tampa. One did come around during the hurricane but the rest were most likely in their nests. They are fine. I feed them peanuts also. Now they see me and come running over to me. I enjoy seeing them and feeding them.
I have a Club Med for critters on my back patio. If I lacking in my hospitality skills of providing water and food...they let me know. They sit on the table out there and face the kitchen window (where I usually am)..to let me know. "Hey Lady..."
Thanks for being kind, generous and empathetic

Brenda: You've got gourmet squirrels! When I used to live in Florida, my backyard squirrels just got peanuts. Yours are very lucky, indeed.
+Brenda Corica.. Go Pittsburgh Pirates!!!
Love Squirrels. Great to see someone who cares about something other than themselves, especially after such an event.
Making those noises do help. It relaxes them for whatever reason. All the squirrels in our whole neighborhood calm down when I make tsktsktsk noises. It is fun to watch them look at you funny xD
They said, " Man am I glad you're back!" 🥜 🥜. .. 🐿🐿
They also asked, "Where the hell have you been?"
The squirrels made it through, yeah😀
They are so skinny, poor things. Thanks for your care.

Chaos all around but feeding squirrels makes thing a bit better.

I love that I m not the only one that gets happy from feeding squirrels!
Some people think squirrels are such pests, but I think they are so cute.
Love our FL squirrels! I have a few buddies myself ;)
You are so kind - thank you! Just loved the little guys - so glad they were okay!
Alright man, help those little friends out!!
I`m glad you are all ok. My beloved uncle lives in West Palm Beach, we`ve been there this year, in February, such a lovely place, we`ll be back next February. Stay safe. Send some scratches to squirrels :-)
Big sigh of relief that they're okay.😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
My cat LOVED this video! I might have to watch it again just so I can watch him.
Thank you! That was so cute to watch. I am glad they made it through the hurricane.
I love squirrels, always have.
Glad everything is alright after the storm!
Great that they made it through the hurricane! Squirrels are so cute to watch. 🐿🐿
This video makes me super happy!!!
I've had a squirrel take peanuts from my hand. So adorable. I call them tree kitties.
Hahha, I call them 'Tree Babies'.
I salute you sir.
So glad these two precious squirrels made it. The youngest one is a little bit skinny but she will gain weight :) Great video
So sweet. I love Squirrels. Thank you for helping these little ones, and for sharing this video.
Wow beautiful view around the house .the squirrels are very faithful to you they are not going any where waiting for you this is a real friendship. Your house not to mush damage I think of those beautiful creatures they pray for you to keep safe with your family
Super cute. I did the same thing after Irma....peanut party.
Glad to see all is well for you and the many creatures whose stories you share with us on youtube.
So happy for these little guys
Everything that you do will come back to you.
His (her) buddies are all watching where the nuts are being buried, and so are the blue jays. GREAT job feeding the backyard creatures!!! Their worth the money spent for food & feeders.
They seemed happy to see you and very grateful 😊

Squirrel "coming home party" got nuts, go figure.
When a person is kind to animals, you know they have a good heart. Cheers to you brother.

I love squirrels. Beautiful f\video. I used to feed them from my hands.
That's not a smart thing to do. They can carry diseases and can bite even if they didn't intend to.
doesn't look like you got a lot of damage. must be your good karma for being so kind to nature!
those little nursing females were hungry, huh?! that one thought she was a chipmunk trying to cram so many in her mouth. so cute!
H Aureus feeding wild animals creates dependence and is actually a bad thing for the ego-systems at large. The more you know.
Americansikkunt are you on drugs? or naturally stupid?
technically he's right, it's bad if its over done

I'm glad people like you exist. Thanks for looking out for the squirrels :)

Awww... this is awesome! Thanks for the smiles. I sure needed them!
Feeding those little buggers is a joy. I once had one who would tap on my kitchen window and eat out of my hand,.

This world could use more people who are kind enough to take the time to feed peanuts to squirrels in their back yard.

Great video! Those little guys were genuinely hungry. So glad you gave them a feast. 🐿🐿❤️
Glad you and your little friends survived the storm.

I raised 3 babies a couple years ago, it was a great experience. Glad your buddies are okay
That is GREAT! Thanks for sharing
Thank you for this video. Thank you for caring!
Thank you for being kind.
They are just precious! Haha I have conversations with wildlife too (I imagine they infer quite a bit from tone.) Clever little stinkers.
Ha! There Momma thanks you, there Papa thanks you N we all do!
Sweet and kind. You are my kind of people.

Don't know the relationship between you and these guys but glad to see they survived.
