Trust me, it absolutely works, the issue is lag. Lag is a massive problem for flying machines on Bedrock edition especialy. It makes it so that when you stack a bunch of flying machines next to each other, they don't activate at the same time, this means that the pistons get stuck on the other machines, breaking everything. ( It is most likely your input though, as you need to have prior knowledge to redstone to understand how to activate all the machines at the same time without the redstone wire running out of power )
@@kylesmith9573 I know, Bedrock has gotten a lot more consistent so I thought it might work now after 2 years of bug fixes, I am playing MC rn, it absolutely does not work. it should work, but doesn't. each time the flying machine moves it has a 50% chance to go backwards, and a 50% chance to ge forwards, meaning that when you stack them together, everything breaks. I thought this was fixed already. 😭
Sooo… noticed there’s only one activation button so if you want to open it close it you HAVE to be on the top of it.. is there any way I could add another switch to this because I’d love this in my base
I spent hours collecting all the materials and then putting it together. I checked to make sure everything was done correctly, and when I pressed the button, the machine opened slightly and then broke :(
So I'm going to build a flying machine elevator in my base to get down to the caves, and I'm gonna use this as a hatch that will shut when the elevator is at the lower level. Hopefully the flying machines don't get intertwined while I'm setting it up.
It can theoretically be tiled infinitely in one dimension, but is limited to 8 blocks in another dimension because of the piston push limit. i.e. With this design 8x32 is possible, 16x16 is not.
I have been looking for a tutorial on something like this for so thank you so much ❤ by the way what if I wanna be able to open from underneath the floor how do I do that?
can you make this door flush with the ground or no? I cant put blocks on top of the observers without it breaking. I don't know much about redstone, is there a fix to this?
This is super cool-- would you ever consider posting world downloads though? Just curious so I could play around with some variations of the door and stuff like that
nevermind i just found that tinker slime blocks work to replace the honey blocks, also thanks for the design its perfect for what i needed, except i just neeed to make it a litle bit bigger
Excellent pace and instruction I found super easy to follow. Being a perpetual Minecraft neophyte I often find my Tourette’s syndrome acts up on even simple builds. I hardly swore at you at all. Lol thanks.
how expandable is this? im making a secret Facility in Minecraft and I thought it would be cool to have a massive ceiling door that can open up. also cool tutorial man I love it!
Not really, this is the largest size that you can build with the same design, due to the piston push limit. You'd have to make alterations to the design to expand it out.
No, the flying machine has a 50% chance to go forward, and a 50% to go backword, meaning it doesn't really go anywhere, and this also makes it a disaster when stacking next to other machines
Flying machines are pretty different on the bedrock version, so idk if it would work. You could always try to build part of this in a creative world and see for yourself.
This didn't help me I spent 2 hours building it, I finally finished it and it didn't work, I checked it beforehand, everything was fine, until it barely even opened up
same here, wish youtube let you comment pictures, did yours also only slightly open a couple random holes in the door? and then all of your observer/piston blocks were messed up?

Am I able to make this into a door instead of a trapdoor? Like going upwards off the ground? I have everything done until the redstone repeaters, because there's no way for me to place them without thinking creatively and I suck at redstone.
You might just be able to place some solid blocks behind the pistons instead of underneath them. Also, I can't guarantee that this works vertically, because flying machines can act a little weird when vertical.
@@ayushpathare5043 Alright, I was able to get it. I just rotated the whole door to the left. Since the observers would face up in one damn direction. The door worked but would break. And I made it at least 4 times, so I'm done with this shit

Just want to say this design will work for all sizes even 4x4. you just have to make the observer and honey slime rows shorter accordingly
I’m using this to make the silo doors for my underground nuclear base
Me to lmao
Thank you for this, time to build my change-able floor arena
Unfortunately this does not work in bedrock. It breaks instantly.

I could use this for an underground farm, to keep open in the day and closed at night.

can it be extended to 20x20 if yes can u make a tutorial

there a way to make it timed?
Since this is tileable, I do believe that could make it seem like it could be 4x4z

Yes I was going to make a house that pops out of the ground and this is perfect

im gonna add a 4x4 elevator to my base so yea timed would be great
Do you need to use honey or can it just be slim
You do have to use both honey and slime, otherwise, the pistons will not fire.
