My son made an office building, and the glass elevator is just a 4x4 shaft filled with scaffolding. It works great, and has a smooth ride, which allows you to look over the town as you go up and down.

I've played Minecraft since alpha and watched you for years, but this video today is the first time I've actually sat down and had a crack at Redstone, i honestly can't believe what I've missed out on! Once you get the basics it's so rewarding making your own circuits! I've spent today learning how these elevators work and linking them together, and making hidden doors that open briefly when you get to the top of the 'design 6', so cool! Thanks Mumbo!
@Ariel Rozen yes you’re correct, 8 doesn’t have pistons, but as Mumbo himself said, it doesn’t really count as an elevator, just a way to go up. I didn’t mention 2 because it has pistons, otherwise it wouldn’t be swappable

@@real_redacted That's not an elevator then...what goes up must come down...and most of these don't even go back down so now you have the problem of having the up-elevator stuck up when you're down, so you can't complete the loop, and the down elevator can't go up (because then we wouldn't have a problem).

Aiken I can say I’m not the best at redstone things but if you want to try to make one on bedrock you can it’s on every platform ever just be prepared for pretty much everything to break

Scaffolding is a better ladder. It’s 1x1, can be taken down easily, and built very easily.

I managed to make a block swapper for that, but when I did 2 blocks, it became a block dropper.
it doesnt work in the current versioon of bedrock so you may have to make some slight modifications, but nothing too complicated
Pretty easy tbh, just make a switcher, and if the inputs are random, add obsidian to stop the blocks from moving
Do a 2 button input and just have them push back and forth
