This needs to be a reoccurring series! Go to various pedal builders with huge collections of pedals and have them go through their collections and see what works. You could do Josh from JHS, Mike from Analogman... Would be great!!!
This! All mentioned are a wealth of knowledge and obviously have incredible collections. All very pleasant to hear talk about their enthusiasm for the pedals.
The problem is that these pedal making guys... have all this great gear that they dont repair. Look at this guy...he had a vintage fuzz, that he never plugged in. These guys should have a department on the development team, that worked on restoring old pedals and learning about them.
Why can I just listen to Jamie talk? He's chill as and somehow this show and jhs just relax my brain. I put them on like podcasts and work away polishing cars. I just started to be interested in building my own pedals at 40yrs old and have discovered this awesome community of people that I never realised I'm like.
I love Earthquaker and Jamie but, honestly, seeing these massive collections of rare effects has always left me a little melancholy, knowing I'll never own 99% of these amazing-looking boxes. Now, having actually heard how the tiny percentage of these pedals THAT ARE ACTUALLY STILL FUNCTIONAL??? I'm feeling so much less envious. We are truly living in the golden age of gear.
This guy is the best. Every time I see him and his colleagues in videos, I'm happy I chose EQD for some of my sounds. Looking forward to picking up a Night Wire!
Much love & admiration. I can have the same feeling towards you and your priceless junk. I to love my junk. What is life without unexpected fun and sounds and junk Collections?
enjoyed this one - listen to that dod250 open up when he hits the led mod ... thts what i am allways on about . remove the stock si diodes and cut in a pair of 3mm red LEDS ! (or put all four of them on aa dpdt switch to have both ...
For old effects whose controls and switches are pretty much touch and go, I cannot recommend Stabilant 22 highly enough. I have brought dozen of pots, switches and edge connectors back from death with this stuff. It used to be marketed to audiophiles under the trade/brand name "Tweak", though its applications extend well beyond RCA jacks and such ( www.stabilant.com/appnt01.php ). It is NOT a contact cleaner, but a contact *enhancer* . What's the diff? Cleaners remove crap on a contact, be it residue or oxidation. Stabilant forms a non-drying layer on the contact element, that behaves like a liquid solder joint, and does to crackle-producing non-continuities what fresh blacktop on a road does to tire noise. I know I sound like a commercial, but I'm just constantly amazed by what this stuff can bring back to life: old TV remotes, SIM card and NIntendo cartridge connectors, wonky IC sockets, slide switches, crackly slide and rotary pots, and more. It has two chief caveats: 1) it's bloody expensive (although 5ml will last you a VERY long time; maybe longer than that $10 bottle of liquid flux), and 2) because it doesn't ever dry, you can't build up layers to cope with big discontinuity gaps. But if you have something old and well-used that you love, but is misbehaving, this is stuff to seriously consider.
I love that @earthquakerdevices tried to clone the bomb string sound from Floor. A) that’s absolutely mad. B) maybe Jamie should revisit that idea? C) moar noise pedals with momentary/hold switches.
This was so worth watching for reasons I can't quite understand. Not least of which is to see someone else's ridiculous hoard of gear and that much of it does not work, making me feel better that I don't play most of mine.
@@HzrdsTbccnst it could have been during a software upgrade or something like that but I was unable to contact them for a few days during a sale and they did not respond to my email inquiries. I complained and it went hilariously badly. I'll not use Reverb again.
What's up with everything being broken? Humidity problem in the basement..? Does he treat the pedals badly..? He doesn't seem to worry about being heavy handed with them. Maybe I would be the same if I owned a pedal company... :-) Anyway, it makes me sad when people treat nice stuff badly.

that crazy tone was killer
This is why I love supporting earthquaker devices. Yes his pedals sound amazing but Jamie is a 1st class guy man!
Fantastic vid and it's always fun to see Jamie in vids...dude's a riot.

Wow! That Maestro Fuzz sounds epic. I need one.
I love this guy
i love this man
Awesome. "I'm good at building pedals!" priceless.
Too bad he doesn’t know anyone who could fix them old boxes
This makes me feel better about my failures. It's always sad when you populate a board and get nothing. One day I'll figure this stuff out.
that Maestro Fuzz tone sounds unbelievable. What would be the closest in production fuzz to that?
Note to self: NEVER buy a rare vintage pedal from a guy named Jamie.....😜
That was fun, thanks!
please release that fuzz face clone

man that Korg guitar synth is sweet,I gotta get me one of those
Lol nobody needs one of those
@@HzrdsTbccnst I'm a simple man,my basic sounds are my amp and guitar, effects are usually reserved for crazy noises and weird textures.
Reverb, you guys gotta visit Mike Matthews.

That Spectre sounds amazing.
Akron Ohio ? Played at the holiday inn there several times in the 80s . Wow ,Time flies ,havin fun or not .
If u see this jamie ,that spectre pedal sounds fantastic, very spongy love it;)
This was so good!, you guys should do josh Scott’s collection next!
Dipthonizer is pretty much the Spatial Delivery? Right?
Charles Hale while they are both filter effects, they aren’t the same at all.
EarthQuakerDevices well the copy of the Dipthonizer sounded great, would be cool to have that and the Spatial Delivery, loved the vid
Yeah earthquaker devices please release that crazy tone fuzz face !?
I owe this man my life after using the warden compressor on my bass.
Crazy Fuzz is the best pedal i have ever heard!
I had a clone of the dipthonizer. It’s on my channel. In the end, passed it on. Wasn’t my thing but it’s original for sure...
do they make that fuzz face clone?
I think the Dream Crusher was a Fuzzface clone but i don't think they make them anymore.
What's that 12-string off to the right?
solarain its made by BiLT and has a dispatch master and speaker cranker built into it.
Sweet! Bet it sounds awesome.
02:37 THE BEST TONE HAHAHAHAHAHAA
Spectre sounded nice!
Spectre sounded nice
Hey it works, but you can only play Poison through it. Hahaha
Floor is the shit!!! You should make that pedal again
That gunslinger thooooo
"So that's what Floor sounded like." 🙃
I already love EQP so HOLY SHIT BONUS! $90 for a Gunslinger?!?! How does that happen?! 🤣
ooooooh the new york dolls riff
Bathroom Wall surprised me
That guy rules
Fusa Face....INTENSO, DIABOLICO,❤️😈.....HAIL DI'AUL!!!!!!!😈
today i learned ludwig made a guitar pedal
Oh yes. Soon-to-be-selled as new pedals
Gimmie Dat Korg Guitar Synth.
Guys might as well be a wizzard to me.
"It does not"
And these pedals will go up in price on Reverb as always.
some of them aren't in the site. But after this Jamie will make them as new effects. Save this comment.
Luis Pérez comment saved... I’m dying to see what I make next!
@@EarthQuakerDevices Yeah, and you know I'm gonna buy it. I wonder what my fifth eqd pedal would be...
More incentive to buy an EarthQuaker pedal, lol. Yikes
He should sell clones of the clones he made.
Who knew pedal manufacturers could be so damn handsome! I figured they were all mouth-breathing Trekkies. 😆
Three Studies for a Crucifixion!!!!
BREAKING: Earthquaker Devices Founder Plays Authentic!
Hahahaha!!! Nice!!!
LOL
this guy's voice is so low in each of every video he shows up
I don't get the obsession with weird effects. You can use it on maybe 1 or 2 songs and then it's nothing more than a gimmick.
Reverb was sold to Etsy and many things have changed for the worse. Musicians need to know. Beware.
Of what? What's the big deal? They have more capital. Big whoop
I've noticed zero changes
