Cool little mill. I've been a prototype machinist, production engineer, CNC programmer for forty years, and what you built, we'd call a proof of concept version 1.0 prototype. I'm sure when you build your next one, it will be greatly improved from the lessons you learned on this one. Excellent work !!! You know what would be cool, is if you wanted to build a mini tomb stone part changing system where you could pull out a couple of cap screws and rotate your part holding plate out from under your spindle so it makes it easier to change tools, or parts with the close proximity of the spindle out of the way. I can see you spent a lot of time and effort on this build. That great. The world needs more sharp guys like you that can actually machine / fabricate ideas into working machines.
Tanx keith i did build that machine with any things i found .i did use only normal and cheap tools .i believe if i have some spacial machine and tools definitely i can build good one .tanx for you helpful comments
Hi I just found you and your channel, we are Lance & Patrick we are micro machinist and such located in the California Desert USA. You built a nice little milling machine and we are happy to see it. You even made your own table handles lead screws. What motor type or size did you select to use? One more what collet size is that 8MM or 10MM we are thinking.
Tanx .i did used 12 v with 2 A electromotor with 5 mm shaft but you need too use electromotor with gearbox for more torque..this is prototype... collets its different size because i have different carbide
nice micro mill drill machine I think that you using aluminio or brass you machine are go better , iron steel is too hard for your little motor good work mister
Thank you for your helpful comment🙏❤ . Yes exactly for iron and still or hard metal we need high speed electro motor with gearbox too make a lot of torque
if it can drill 1mm thick aluminium, it probably can do 10 and 100mm as well, the better question is, how big the drill can be until the spindle is too weak.
This thing is awesome!!! I have to build one of these!!!

Good work
Thank you
Nice 👍🏻

Wow. Fantastic. I really need this 😍
Thanks

Can it drill aluminium thick 1cm?
Actually it can i put new electromotor with more torque.

Bhai muje kharidi hai yeh
Takes lot of time and i used aluminum leftover shelf angels cut them drill them and lot of worked .used basic tools
That poor little motor 😢, definitely not enough oomph or large enough bearings to take the side loading... great looking little machine though!
I did changed new DC motor
