Great interview John
Do one on Vince Gill, Gregg Martin , and many more
That is awesome playing!!!
Premier Guitar can you interview view Vince Gill, Marty Stuart or Brad Paisley next on the country side
pro tip : watch series on Flixzone. Been using it for watching loads of movies these days.
@Paul Talon definitely, have been using Flixzone} for since november myself :)
This was my favorite Rig Rundown EVER. What a GREAT human being. So humble and kind. So talented. Playing is so fluid and his guitars, pedals and amps all make perfect sense. John Bolinger was clearly in awe of Wariner's chops. And John is such a warm, genuine guy too. MAD PROPS!!! Well done. Bravo
great comment Gary!! I love your channel and as they say great recognizes great!!! I love Steve!!!
Simply the the most humble and kick ass icon guitar picker I ever seen; simply the coolest - mega respect and salutations to Steve! 💪🎸🤟
Gotta have a part two; just too much guitar and music stuff to cover. Steve has so many “awesomeness” stories that need to be covered and documented! ❤ loved the interview !
My dad used to own a sewing machine shop in Murfreesboro, TN. One day a guy came in to buy a machine, and my dad looked up when the guy said hello. He found himself face to face with Steve Wariner himself.
This is more than a Rig Rundown. This is musical history.
I am a metal kid but grew up on 90’s country. I saw Steve at a county fair when I was a kid and this dude smokessssssssss that geetar
I love the EV V2 ribbon mic in the back. Looks like the one my pops gave me he used in his band in the late 50’s.
This guy could make a shoe lace sound great.
A criminally underappreciated picker
One the the absolute best guitar players you’ll ever see that’s under appreciated for his unbelievable skill! Love SW
Many country guitarists have seem to gone under a lot of radar and they were/are really over the top or even with the top players others think of. Glen Campbell, Roy Clark and Jerry Reed were some of the very best ever. Vince Gill, Brad Paisley and even Keith Urban are others as well.
Thanks Uncle Jimmy
Steve has to be the nicest person ever.
This guy is a great interviewer..never gets in the way
Fantastic rig down! Steve Wariner is an amazing musician and very humble too.
This one was really Special. Some of these are great but this one is EXCELLENT!!
Saw Steve in concert several times in RS ky.. one time I saw Steve with Chet Atkins in concert at my old high school.. and Terry....
WOW that B bender is SICK....Steve is the best....
C.G.P. Certified Guitar Picker
One of six that Chet deemed to be such. What's awesome to me is how incredibly humble he comes across. I think when it all comes down to it we're all just a bunch of really enthusiastic nerds and he has that in spades and I mean it as the highest possible compliment. The dude is the real deal.
I saw Steve play at Grand Ole Opry in ‘97. Never heard of him because I didn’t like country and got dragged there. I about crapped my pants! He could do it all. Incredible singer, amazing player, electrifying performer. Made a convert out of me.
This is wonderful, thank's PG. (And Bohlinger needs to do all rig rundowns, but that's old news).
Every once in a while you hear someone talk and it's like you knew the person your whole life and you would trust them with everything you own. I am so thankful that I stumbled on this R.R. because I just became a fan of Steve Wariner the human.
I played at several telethons in Kentucky where he played. IMO one of the most underrated guitar players ever but also one of the nicest guys ever. Phenomenal player AND person.
I am impressed that finally Premier Guitar has a interview with a great player like Steve Warner . Never did I think that an event like this would be done. Rock and Metal players and their skills , all are good . But a player like Steve Warner and the likes of the country players , are more than top notch . Especially giving a honorary title by Chet Atkins . These old guys for my love of music rock as good and better than anyone alive today .
Best rig rundown by far
One of my all time favorite singers in the world and a bad ass guitar player! He helped change country music to be what the 90's were to country! Check out Life's Highway and so many more....
Ok so I have a new item on my bucket list... to visit this room!!!
Tone master baby.
this is what i call a christmas present!
Really a good choice. Agreed
That was a great Chet impression! 😂😂
I live in the same town in Kentucky as Steve's brother Terry... We are very good friends... I knew Terry's Uncle Jimmy also..
Great family... Sano
What a champ. Gentleman and humble. Nice work as well John.
Steve....it's way past time for you to record a CD or 2 (or 12) with Vince Gill.
Two of Nashville's finest talents....great singers, phenomenal pickers on one CD?
I can only imagine the music they would produce.
I love him.
It's a pleasure to watch someone who loves what they do
YES JOHN REALLY DOES
That's probably my favorite John Bolinger interview, enjoying himself as a fan and co-gear head and Steve.... Well I had some fun for this weekend! Merry Christmas to both and all of us in the audience!
John Bollinger should be a star. Great personality and good interviewer.
I don't have words, what do you say? Every time I watch this it just amazes me. What a man
I love players that stare down the interviewer while they rip off ridiculous shit 😂😂😂
Master player
love the tip of the hat to...Burton, Reggie Young and Clarence White!
This is a good Rig Rundown, thanks Steve Wariner.
Steve is such a gracious guy. Such a great player but always giving props to others.
One of my musical heroes. Thanks guys!
Had the honor to meet SW back in the late 90’s and he was just as sweet as he is in this interview. Well done PG.
Very cool! It's awesome how much respect he has for his son!
This is what you get when love and passion of their craft meet.
Every time I watch one of the John's rig rundowns I think it's the best one yet but they just keep getting better and better. As of today, this has to be one of my all time favorites. Great questions for one of the most gifted guitar players ever. What a great guitar and amp collection.
One of my guitar hero's!! Love Steve's music and playing.
Steve seems like such a likable guy. So enjoy his playing.
Great interview with a Legend. Since Steve mentioned James Burton several times, John I wish you would go to his home in Shreveport and interview him, it sure would make for some great stories and some cool looking guitars. Thanks. Merry Christmas.
I didn't know who Steve was until I saw this video... I want to be adopted into this wonderful family ! fantastic !
when the aliens come and want the best guitar player ever known to mankind. I will send them to Steve.
Steve Wariner is one of the nicest guys in music today. He has nothing to prove. He has won many music awards, yet his whole persona is humble and just good. I have always admired his guitar playing and singing. Great video Steve and John!!
Thank you SO MUCH for this John and PG. Probably the best RR I've seen yet. Had no Idea Steve Wariner was such an awesome person AND an absolute monster player!!!
Gretsch guitars are so versatile. Great to see they are still experimenting.
Seems like all these pros are the most down to earth guys. Then you read the comments and realise pretty much all musicians are down to earth humble people.
Rock on guys !
As a country picker Steve has ALWAYS been at the top of my list for inspiration ! Great video and interview!
A great interview. Thanks Premier Guitar and Steve Wariner.
seems like a real nice guy and a great player no doubt!!
I'm ashamed to say that I wasn't familiar with this cat before watching this episode, but he's got a new fan. This has been my favourite episode so far. What a sweetheart, and a monster player. Could listen to him tell stories all day.
Dang ,,,that's a snappy sounding telecaster !!! Love 💘 it !!!
wow... that butterscotch nocaster is just magic. thats THE sound
Steve Wariner is as great a person has he is a singer, song writer and guitarist. Great interview, I wish he would put out a new album.
Steve is awesome as usual and that signature Gretsch sounds and looks amazing. I still have his Secrets of a Hot Nashville Picker VHS tape from back in the day.
Absolute clinic
Awesome. Would love more country guitarists on rig rundown.
Steve is a gentleman and a class act.
This is one of my favorite Rig Rundowns! Steve is a fantastic player! Beautiful chords, beautiful everything! Thanks.
Boy that was truly cool. Steve is one of my guitar idols.
What a legend. Amazing to have 40+ min with him. ONe of the best rig rundowns ever.
Simply fantastic. One of the best rundowns ever
Excellent Rundown John !
Great Rundown...great player, great instruments...and I want John’s Shirt!
First time I saw Steve Wariner he was playing bass guitar for Glenn Campbell on Galveston. He did a solo then and I knew he was the real deal. Now I see he's a great person too. :)
Don't know crap about guitars , longtime Steve Wariner fan... had to watch great interview from such a talented gentleman!
draws, paints, plays amazing guitar, writes and sings hit songs, AND is just an insanely nice guy? this guy's stock just went way up in my book.
Can't say I could name any of his material , but I have tremendous respect for professional players. I have seen his name throughout the last 30+ yrs in guitar mags etc .... THAT, my friends, speaks volumes in terms of a musician's efforts to make guitar their life and profession
great interview
Two of the nicest guys in the business in the same room.
the master for sure
Jack Pearson Rig Rundown request! One of the best!
steve wariner jack pearson....IT DONT GET ANY BETTER THEN THESE TOO CATS
nobody wants to see that dude spend 7 minutes walking us through his 432 dollars in total gear picks to cables that he uses to smoke us all. lol actually would be super interesting.
Wonderful interview
Sweet vintage axes! Cool stories too!
I have loved Steve's music since the day I heard " By Now" . I learned all his songs and seen him live many times. Unbelievable talent and one of the nice guys. Really enjoyed this show.
as others have said, this is one of their best interviews. steve=cgp
PG, you knocked it out of the park with this Rundown. Mr. Wariner is everything you hope your guitar hero is. Thank you for a great Christmas gift, John.
Love seeing John doing these Rig Rundowns!!
Yeah!!!The CE 1.I have had mine since decades.Still use it everyday at my studio....
I looooove the long rig rundowns of people who have really amazing guitars.
This might be the best rig rundown I’ve ever watched. It really opened up my eyes to how cool Steve is!
I know I’m late to the party - but it’s cool to see JB so entranced by Steve’s playing. The gear is amazing, but Steve is so nice and you can see they both enjoyed making the vid.
I would loooove to listen an entire album of this man all instrumental with original compositions.
He has one titled Guitar Lab
Diego Funes He has 3 instrumental albums... all good
This is one of my new favorites. That guy can rip!
Best rundown ever.
That sig Gretsch is insane.
Love the Mark O'Connor, Ricky Skaggs, Vince Gill , Steve Wariner, Who is A Great, Great person." I'm Restless"
Have always admired the pickin country sound. I honestly have never heard of Mr. Steve, but man this guy is a god on guitar. I really enjoyed this rundown. Makes me want to go sit on the curb and throw dirt in the street. I like when John does the rundowns. The others are good, but John has a certain air about him that makes me feel like I did when I was first learning. His enthusiasm, he always seems sincere. Great job.
This was such a wonderful video with an amazing man! Wow, I love the stories and just what a life Steve has lived🙌🙏💙
all I can say is Wow!!!!! Excellent rundown
Thanks for the likes and comments🎶 and how how long have you been my fans💕?
What a treat! Thanks!!!
