Last one was probably my favourite! It was so amazing to watch 19 of the strongest climbers in the world fail to climb it and then #20 comes out and does it 🤯
@@impactroutesetting but to be realistic if worldcups really were decided based on power alone Flohe would win all of them. Boulders like that are way too rare nowadays to represent the sport
6:53 Lee Dohyun's top of this boulder is the one that has always stuck in my mind. IIRC, he was the first one to actually get stood up on those volumes, and his subsequent excitement when he topped it just made it even more memorable for me.
I am an incredibly mediocre climber who struggles on v4s and can occasionally do v5s, but these people have inspired me to try my hardest to reach their level one day. I’m making progress as well, and climbing is all I think about now besides Elden Ring
Saw brixen semis and finals live from brixen, gotta say flohes problem at the end was absolutely insane, so was milnes finals one, he absolutely crushed that last move, beautiful
I loved this. Really grabbed some of my favourite moments of the year a brought the memories back. Will watch again. Was disappointed Ogata wasn't represented. He was amazing this year.
With all the evolution that the sport had over the last years I just think the camera angles and the multicamera directors could improve for a better enjoyment of the sport at home.
I know right? I swear, it's like they're trying to find an inconvenient zoom in or out in every single comp, when we're trying to see how they manage to position themselves for a move, or if they caught something, but then there is a 20 second zoom in on their no-reaching hand or on their face, or a zoom out so far you can't make out anything. Ugh
But what about W4 in the Seoul finals? That feet first start and super powerful and tricky middle with a real fight just to get to the zone was incredible! Oriane Bertone's scream of victory and relief when she tops it is the best! Also Brooke and Natalia being absolute beasts but in their own unique way was just great to see.
There's something for everyone, but men's climbing is too dynamic/monotonous for me, 4 out of 4 boulders ver dynamic in the men's finals, I get it's the direction sports climbing is going in, but I'm not really fond of it.

Me too! And a great reminder that pure power boulders can still split up world class boulderers if set well!

Agreed. Great moment!
I would love to see more of those boulders.
5:40 absolutely hyped and screamed at the TV when Max topped this in the live stream
Brooke's timeout did not win the competition but definitely won my heart
The coordination from Colin Duffy in that step-up slab dyno was insane.
I know! Wild!

The Brixen boulder done by Max Milne was my favourite of the year. That boulder looked incredible.

best sport to watch the power the emotion all in a matter of seconds. love it
My toxic trait is falsely thinking I could do some of these 😂
I missed Hannah. She was incredible too.
Love it. Dude from France climbing off the wall seam 🤣
Sounds like some bs I would pull on a climb, lol
theres been some great setting this year! so exciting

4:30 unreal!
Max Milne is an incredible athlete. This is a great montage, thanks for sharing!

Nice selection
awesome!!
my biggest flex is that i’ve been in the same vacinity as max milne several times and my maths teacher went to school with him
My biggest flex is that Nathaniel Coleman used to coach my team. And Palmer Larson and Charlie Barron both currently coach
Very nice..
Would you be able to do a detailed breakdown of each climb in this video in one longer video?
Possibly! Will be a marathon of a video that one!
@@impactroutesetting Please do it would be such a joy to just sit in bed with a pack of sweets and enjoy a boulder break-down marathon!
How exactly does the IFSC define a downward dyno? Cause it seems like a couple of these could be considered to be downward dynos
I was thinking the same thing
If I could be young again this is deffo the sport I would want to be good at.
We have some amazing rock climbers in utah, Brooke is one hell of a female climber. I've actually seen her at a few places in Utah before.
Any time they set something super powerful and shouldery I’m like „alright where is Yannick to show us how to do it?“ 😂
I would get a heart attack from the first move
If you were spiderman, do you even need to compete here.
Whats the song from the outro?
I need to know this too
The wall should always have the right to refuse you. Brooke rabatou can always refuse first.
Only dynamic stuff :( Id like to see also static moves in the top list. Always dynamic is also boring...
Anybody getting sweatty hands while watching this or is it just me???
No janja? 🥺
She only competed in one boulder World Cup this year

And women's climbing is going in that direction as well and I'm not liking it
Mix that with parkour
There's no Janja and any Japanese climbers in the clip? That can not be the best. FMHO
The very first climber is Japanese. Janja was also injured for much of this season so wasn’t entering the events
Camera angle is so annoying
Lol
climbing sucks
