They are surprisingly good at going backwards through the pendulums as well I used cheats to prevent them from dying, but even after letting it run for half an hour I haven't seen one being able to make it through forward again
@@Domo3000the fact that they can jump to lower levels like that means it had to have been programmed in on purpose. I mean, maybe they programmed it like that so that the snake man near the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring can follow you down to the Titanite Demon that guards the Scythe, but that actually seems less likely than them programming a footrace. It's a super cool detail, a rare one I've never noticed. I knew there was some fuckery with the pathmaking of the snake man that drops near the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring but I've never experimented enough to see it all play out. Very cool video.

@@jonathancastillo6433 maybe the user means that it isn't the trap itself, but just some event trigger close to it? All I know is that walking back over the trap makes it face the other direction and allows me to get up safely. This works consistently for me, as I've shown in the video

@@TheSilly6403 anor londo was visually cool but its just a bunch of big empty rooms and its just boring, i did really enjoy tomb of giants, i like that the game forced me to get out of my comfort zone (using shields) also painted world was pretty good, felt like a demon's souls level
@memberofchat2825 i really liked how the path forward in Anor Londo isn't obvious, forcing you to walk on rooftops, rafters and through broken windows, then there's the big maze of rooms leading up to the main castle. the big walkway and painted guardian room are really boring, but the real meat of the level that you unlock shortcuts to skip is amazing. Tomb of Giants absolutely terrified me as a kid (used to have a reoccurring nightmare about hearing the skeleton dog's breathing in the dark and not knowing where it was) still creeps me out to this day. also totally agree on painted world, almost wish it wasn't so incredibly easy to skip the whole thing
@@revolversnake126 of course you can, but because of tight corridors, you often have to fight them in duets. I couldn't kill properly third and fourth demons because of that.
interesting, I was actually playing ds1 yesterday and ended up dropping down to the bottom level after going through most of the rest of the upper levels and there were like 3-4 man-serpents in a row just hanging stationary at the bottom of the ladder (until I tried to climb the ladder, which clipped me into them, at which point they got off the ladder while locking me into place from above and below and stun locked me to death), wonder if this is how they got there. truly some of the pathfinding of all time

One thing you didn't mention is that at least one of the boulder break walls if not more can be broken by hitting it with a attack with the highest amount of poise damage like for example a charge attack from one of the big weapons

sen's fortress was the peak of dark souls 1 none of the later levels are nearly as good
Anor Londo was fantastic, and call me weird but I loved Tomb of the Giants as a kid. Still a fantastic level
