    What a treat, seeing Les's Class 86 especially as well as the 90s and of course the 92 , all in 35 minutes . Thanks for sharing with us Mike, bet you went home happy on the 3rd .
    Its such a shame the A/C locos and stock have now gone all still with plenty of life in them .ATB, Ian ,and thanks again Mike.👍👍👍👍

      Yeah Ian a great time seeing all them electric locos in such a short space of time at MK
      Yes all I will say about the day is I had a few ups and downs which cost me money.

    From what Les said on his radio show he rang up to see how much to buy the nameplates, they turned around and said for a few more grand you could buy the whole locomotive with the plates

    Great video Mike. Really good to see the 86 out working and with the owner as well. Not had the privalage of meeting him myself but maybe one day. The 92+Sleeper was a good catch as well mate. Best regards, Colin.

      Oh did you Dave, you was into the breakfast show in a big way by the sounds of it.

    Excellent video there Mike!! Awesome to see Les with his own locomotive on the mainline! Those 90s were absolutely screaming through there and did the 66 fail behind them or just being moved to another depot?

      Thank you Jacob for checking my video out, I too like to see any class 86 working on the WCML as they was on of the first locos I spotted when I got into this hobby.
      No the class 66 was getting a lift back to Crewe, have a good weekend Mike.

    I wonder how much it costs to buy, own and maintain a locomotive like that? If my car insurance is anything to go by, it won't be cheap to insure.

      I know Les and see him frequently..... He doesn't talk figures but I suspect it's not a profitable 'hobby' by the time he's paid the bills.... He's just enjoying himself Lol.

      They had a very long lifespan with an extended spell on freightliner which meant their careers were upto 55 years
