The final fight in raging fire
IP Man vs. 10 Black Belts in IP Man movie, and IP Man vs. Mike Tyson in IP Man 3
Finally thank you!!! Yall must have seen my comment. All good pick but "10 black belts" top of the list good job.
You missed the movie Sakra. Halfway through the movie, he went beast mode and made all other of his fight scenes look like a walk in the park
You guys missed the movie Dragon Tiger Gate, Donnie plays the role of Dragon who works for a Gangster and he slays.
They had to blind him in two movies because he's so dangerous
😂 sounds like the start to a Chuck Norris meme
HE'S SO BAD ASS THAT THE BLIND VERSION OF HIM NEVER LOST A FIGHT.
He was so blind that he was 10 steps ahead from his enemies.
@@WinnieDPue
Someday, it will become "Yen's meme" 😄
@@danielekaputra that would be awesome!
I'm one with the Force and the Force is with meme 😂
I loved every moment of his character in John wick chapter 4 not only was he a powerful daredevil he was also freaking hilarious.
Caine. Was a G
Loved the movie but it really hit a sore spot to me; dude was blind but somehow could aim his bullets precisely enough. Was very over the top lol
@@aries666dc ikr. Like cmon
Awesomeness OVERLOAD!!
@@aries666dc must be using an aimbot
He was beyond cool in John Wick 4. If you’ve seen the Imp Man series, the man is pure badass and always exhibit coolness.
Imp man 🤣
@@rm71991 IP Man 🥋
Simp man
Imp man - half imp half man full wing chun.
I'd totally watch "imp man" AF 😂😂
Every Donnie Yen moment is a beast mode moment.
I have no seen him boring. he is always bad ass. RESPECT.
Mr. Yen did a terrific job in ‘Blade 2’, ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, the entire ‘Ip Man’ quadrilogy and ‘John Wick: Chapter 4.’
lol I'm not really good to recognize actors in some movies and you just made me realise Yen was in Rogue One and I really loved his character
Rogue One is not that bad, it’s good, but my favorite roles of his were mostly IP Man, and his amazing role as Caine/Blind Assassin. I wish he can play other roles in the future, most likely, I want him to be as Sub-Zero in a Mortal Kombat sequel, that would be badass.
@@pabloruiz6224 I agree his IP man role is legendary! And his Caine in JW is amazing. Really loved him in the movie
Highlander endgame.
VS Jet Li in Hero and once upon in china 2 should be in top three
Had the privilege to meet Donnie Yen and his wife back in 2019 and they were super friendly. Really humble and down to earth. He has a pretty firm handshake too hehe
Him and his wife are quite hilarious. They're always joking.
Where did you meet them?
@@Oleander3333 he was in Malaysia to promote Ip Man 4
He was lowkey the best part of john wick 4 aside from Keanu of course.
scott adkins in the fat suit was the highlight of the movie for me
@@scarfade1635 both Donnie and Scott were amazing in their own way. Scott's was too brief and really should have had more screen time than he got 😒
Scott could have been a better Caine in JW4
He was definitely a brilliant addition to the franchise having Mr No-body & his trusty canine side kick made the film even more enjoyable even Scott Adkins had me glued to the spot! (But Donnie was up there with Keanu) p.s R.I.P Lance he made his character his own and I’m glad he got to bid farewell to fans I couldn’t imagine the Continental hotel without him 🙏🏾 (in fact I’m gonna go watch it again popcorn for one plz!

I've seen every Donnie Yen film. Flashpoint by far shows the most brutal fight choreography in any of his films. Too good.
I grew up watching every single Donnie Yen's movie, he was a legend before Ip Man.
But for now, check out Iko Uwais' The Raid, and the last fight scene in The night that comes for us.
These Indonesians are freaken brutal.
@@jasonlai980142 yeea foreal those guys are bringing a whole new way of capturing martial arts action in film. Hope Gareth works again with those guys for Raid 3 or something else.
flashpoint is the movie that gives me the most satisfaction.
I would also recommend Tony Jaa in Ong Bak I feel that what started the whole South east Asian brutal combat movies the beginning if you will.
@@mjgfromdallas I watched some Tony Jaa's movies when I was small, too. He likes breaking limbs in his movies just as the Indonesians lel.
My favorite Donnie Yen whoop-ass scene is still by far when he fights all of the japanese martial artists at the same time in the original Ip Man. The black and white tone, the dire music, and the nonstop flurry of punches and bone cracks, from some of the hardest most brutal takedowns i have ever seen in live action.
I have been a fan of Donnie Yen for a long time. His fight choreography is absolutely phenomenal❤
Donnie Yen is a underrated Legend!!!! Finally getting the international recognition he deserves!
man really basic 😂😂😂😂😂
I wonder when Hollywood 's gonna let him play the main role ? He is the best after Jet Li retiring and Jacky Chan's getting old.
@@kenakibullu unfortunately, Donnie yen consider old too.. he same age with jet li
@@zaihanm he is still fit asf...
I still love that reportedly that Alley fight in Kill Zone was largely improvised, apparently Yen and Jing Wu (Jack) had worked together so much that they were comfortable to just go at it without any real choreography
it's terrifyingly cool how they could move at that speed
They used to train together apparently and during the improvised scene Donnie was going too fast for Jing and kept hitting him in the knuckles and shoulders 🤣
It's like real life demon slayer entertainment district arc end fight
They were both mentored by Yuen Woo-Ping, who's known for doing the fight choreography and action directing in Matrix 1-3, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Fearless, Kung Fu Hustle and many more.
Poor guy just wanted to eat his noodles in John Wick 4 😂
Sorry but Once Upon aTime in China 2 where he fights Jet Li with a staff is probably one of the greatest martial arts scene ever made. With both actors in their primes.
Right?! I came to this list to see if that scene would be #1, but to not even be mentioned
It’s not better than SPL…alley fight.
FACTS
He literally is BEAST MODE!!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🤌🤌🤌🤌💯💯💯💯.
In all of his movies, he’s the personification of literal beast mode. Rogue one’s still one of his fav roles of his, especially Chen Zhen in his fight against the Japanese.
He's the true Bruce Lee replacement and not Jet Li, even tho I love and respect Jet.
Wym the fight against the Chinese? Chen Zhen is Chinese.
@@TLiu-1b Against the Japanese I meant lol. But at least you know what I meant.
When Ip Man launched, we were playing Street Fighter 4, we always say "I want to beat 10!" while playing just to joke and remember how awesome Donnie Yen is.
Donnie Yen is my favorite martial artist actor. I like him in John Wick 4. His character as Caine was my favorite character in the entire John Wick franchise.
Donnie Yen was literally the Grim Reaper on John Wick 4!! Loved every bit of it. The entire cast was amazing!! John Wick 4 is now officially one of my favorite films.
Great list of Donnie Yen fighting scene, also worth mentioning:
XXX: Return Of Xander Cage (Boardroom assault, Road pursuit by Vin Diesel, Plane fighting),
Tiger Cage 2 (Warehouse fighting against Michael Wood and Robin Shou),
Ip Man 3 (shipyard fighting against 11 Thai boxers)
Yup i totally agree with you XXX: Return of Xander Cage he's so superb there.
Another recommend:
Fist Of Fury (Hong Kong TV Series)
And Red Force 4 - In the Line of Duty 4. The fight with Michael Wood endfight
Donnie Yen has been that guy since “The Iron Monkey”. I’ve been a fan of his 20 years
The alley fight in SPL is so ICONIC! honestly one of my favorite scenes from any donnie yen movie. I'm so happy John WIck gave donnie yen even more recognition than he already has just wished it happened sooner!
Donnie Yen is the MAN or the IP MAN!
Been a huge fan of his since his HK Days. Its been great to see his fame bubble out into the international scene, besides just Asia. I like to think that I helped in a small way introduce him to my western friends through his movies like Ip Man, SPL, Flashpoint, Legend of the Fist, Wuxia aka Dragon, In the Line Of Duty IV and Seven Swords. They all became huge fans and introduced him to their friends. He deserves the current recognition, since he is one of those special, once in a generation performers. I would love to see a Caine spinoff from the John Wick Universe. It will be a travesty if they don;t.
I watched Ip Man so many times I lost count of it. Can never get tired the way he beat up the 10 Karate black belts.
I've been in love with Donnie Yen since the first Ip Man movie. I screamed when it was announced that he would be in the mew John Wick, and he was of course fantastic
Jet li and Donnie Yen fight scene in the movie hero is the ultimate and we haven’t got into the Ip Man movies yet.
Til this day I still can’t believe his age lol. One of the greatest martial arts actors ever. So many classics.
He's the same age as Jet Li. They went to the same school. He's aged better bc Jet had some issues.
SPL is probably my favourite Donnie Yen movie. The fight scenes were unreal.
Flashpoint and Legend of the Wolf are my favorite
Apparently Scott Adkins' character in JW4, the fat dude, was inspired by Sammo Hung in SPL.
@@afckajjansiflashpoint is my favourite too ❤
Toughest UPS driver out there 😂😂😂
I’m glad Ip Man was in the top spot. One of the best movies out there.
Flash point : Final confrontation is UNBELIEVABLY GOOD! The mix0martial arts/grappling moves are crazy!! His best!
Indeed
That German suplex 🔥🔥🔥
I came out the cinema of John Wick 4 and said “ok I could watch Donnie Yen fight for 8 hours straight and not get bored once”
Abit baffled that he is getting all this recognition now when he was alr long a legend way before Hollywood gave him a spot! But I guess everything is fated and timed for a reason! As a Donnie Yen fan/follower since "Dragon Tiger Gate", I'm truly happy for the more and more recognition he is receiving!
Was worried that Ip-man fight didn't make the cut..lol
Now I know why everyone had such a fit when he was cast in John Wick 4. I have a lot to catch up on, this gentleman is bad ass.
You are in for a real treat. He's been in some great movies and, in my opinion, should be as famous as others like Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Michelle Yeoh. It's been great to see him starting to get the recognition he deserves...
#1 does not surprise me one bit. This was the one scene that had people at my high school talking about for days.
Everytime I rewatch the scene where Ip Man fought 10 belt belt guys, I remember Scott Adkins' commentary on this scene where he remarked "this is Hong-Kong cinema, so yea, Donnie probably *did* stomp on that guy's face" 😂
Donnie Yen, one of the famous Hong Kong action film stars of all time.
he is what about Brue Lee or Jackie Chan
Him, Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Jackie Chan, and Jean Claude Van Damme. All of these actors and martial artists were the best in martial arts movies.
@@pabloruiz6224 he said Hong Kong not martial artists
@@jimbo9208 Yeah, but they are all actors and martial artists in movies of martial arts, and even in Hong Kong and Hollywood.
@@jimbo9208 Bruce Lee will never be matched but Donnie is the closest we will ever get. Chan is the greatest actor of all time from Hong Kong and China including Americans of Chinese descent. Shout out to Jet Li tho. Unbelievable martial artist!!
My favorite is still the Ip Man series. I love him in martial arts movies ❤
Caine has to be The Most Badass Blind Man in Movies. 👨🏿💻 😎
Qui Chang Caine's sensei was blind, in the 1970's tv show Kung Fu. One coincidence is coincidental. Two coincidences are a rippoff. Three coincidences, if you count that the lead character's first name Qui got used for a Star Wars character.
Donnie yen is a true artist & seeing him in John wick 4 was like a early Xmas present 💯👍🏾
I like his role mostly for IP Man, and I do like his performance in John Wick Chapter 4, playing Caine/Blind Assassin. I wish he can play other roles like Sub-Zero in a Mortal Kombat sequel, that would be badass. I mean all of his roles were badass.
Or otherwise if theres GTA:SA he fits as wozzie
@@jjsancho2340 A GTA: SA movie 🤨
@@pabloruiz6224 you get the point and you know its not gonna happen. Duh
He's probably too expensive for sub-zero character.
The biggest issue with something like Mortal Kombat is that it would prolly be helmed by a director that doesn't know how to shoot action or can't be bothered to hire an action director.
The Ip man scene seemed extremly emotional, I could not get enough of that one!!
I loved Donnie Yen ever since the first IP Man movie came out, the beating 10 japanese soldiers at once was one of the most brutal fights I have seen from him. Love all the movies I've seen with him whether Chinese movie or Hollywood movie. He is a cool martial artist and actor!
I'm surprised Legend of the Wolf (which he directed) fight scene didn't made the cut, his fight (before reaching the last boss) with him and another fighter with palmed eagle claws went at it hardcore, it was CRAZY fight and I highly recommend it!!
I've always been a Donnie Yen fan, love him in the Wick-verse, cool mixture of sword fighting and gunplay.
Great hearing, cleverness, and quick agile
He was the main reason why I wanted to watch John Wick 4 so bad
Donnie Yen's characters: These hands are rated E for Everyone 😅😂
"Remember your daughter"
"Fuck off" 😂
Enjoyed watch Donnie Yen do his thing in so many movie clips, thank you!
The fight with Collin Chou in "Flash Point" is one of the most brutal and realistic fights on cinema!
Caine stole the show! 😎
For those hungry for more Donnie yen…his best film is definitely ‘Killzone’ aka SPL
A dark cool and violent martial arts thriller! A must watch 👍🏼👍🏼
One movie that wasn't mentioned here which I think should be is Dragon Tiger gate ... He blew my mind in that movie ... Of course his performances in other movies are out of this world but there was something about the way he moved and fought in dragon tiger gate that was just out of this world 💯
IP Man is the legend of martial arts!!
Look up “Dragon Inn” /san lung moon hak chan, Yen plays the antagonist boss Eunuch Cho, dealing out hell on four protagonists even after one of his character’s hand and foot were sliced to bones. That’s Yen’s Demon mode.
IMO the greatest movie martial artist of all time. Nobody's done it better.
Just watched John Wick 4, Caine was awesome, Donnie Yen is such a badass actor, he deserve his own movie with that character.
Donnie Yen is a master of his craft. Absolutely love him. Couple of my personal faves Dragon Tiger Gate and Seven Swords.
Flash Point movie... Absolutely Amazing!
He's absolutely brilliant I adore all his movies❤❤❤❤
That scene from ip man was the bomb
This list doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of him going beast mode. Once Upon a Time in China II, Iron Monkey, Hero, Bodyguards & Assassins, the Twins Effect II, Wing Chun, Hero Among Heroes, etc. etc....
Imagine John Wick fighting SPL or Flashpoint Donnie Yen 😂
Or, Donnie Yen’s IP Man 👏
No chance 😂😂 too fast
Ip man is like one of my favorite movies and literally nothing else beats the scene where he takes on 10 black belts
Donnie and Jet Li are a match made in heaven.
Donnie Yen ALWAYS looks cool, whether throwing down or just standing there!
Ipman vs 10 black belts in my opinion in the greatest martials arts scene of all time. When you add in tbe context of the movie. An amazing a sad moment. A man that based his life on discipline, losing control and going 100% full rage from emotional hardship of losing a friend to a foreign invader. It's such a badass scene! You can feel his rage when watching it, after watching him hold back in the fight scenes before this fight.
I’ve been a martial artist for 31 years and Donnie, he’s like the Kobe of martial arts today! Which is a hard place to reach when you have the masters before him like Huo yuanjia, Yip Man (whom he portrayed with utter perfection), Gichin Funakoshi, Mas Oyama, Wong Fei Hung, Bruce Lee, etc. Not to mention the other greats of today like Jet Li, Samo Hung, Tony Jaa, Jeeja Yanin, Jackie Chan, etc… I could go on all day long! But, point is, he’s a BEAST!!! My favorite MA, my hero, inspiration, motivation and the GOAT in my eyes! I would die happy if I could train with him just once! Even if it’s for 5 min!🥋🤞🏼👊🏼😩
His Ip Man series is the best for me
Ip Man is literally my favorite Donnie Yen film series, and he was really the highlight in Rogue One. His role in John Wick 4 is also pretty good.
The scene in the club in John Wick 4, where he kills the two guys with the sword, that was so badass
We all knew him taking down those ten black belts was gonna be number one
Please do one with Scott Adkins and tony jaa going beast mode
IMO the flash point fight should be number 1. Both Donnie and Collin poured their souls into that one, the amount of injuries from it was much more severe than from his other works. Some were even permanent. Yen being the action director spent so much time analyzing MMA to make the fight as realistic AND visually pleasing as possible.
I swear if it wasn’t that scene from Ip Man! Those 10 black belts never stood a chance. His rage would have taken them all on and still come out on top
Very cool and HANDSOME ACTOR 🔥🔥🔥🔥🥰🥰👍🏾👍🏾😘😘! Love all of his moves!!
I'll never understand why he never reached Jackie Chan/Jet Li levels of fame, unless it was just him specifically deciding he'd rather stick to Chinese cinema. In the past few years he's gotten a couple major roles, so hopefully the Yenaissance can begin, especially after JW4.
He was offered many Hollywood roles. Those include Rush Hour 2 (originally a male character but later changed to Hu Li when Zhang Ziyi took over the role), Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (Chen Lo), The Forbidden Kingdom (Jade Warlord), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (Emperor Han), The Expendables 2 (another male character that was changed into a female when Nan Yu got the role), The Man with the Iron Fists (Poison Dagger), Justice League as well as Aquaman (Nuidis Vulko). He decided to focus on the HK/China market instead
Theres an interview of him where he talks about the director of JW4 Chad Stahelski.. Donnie said that Chad was one of the few directors that understood how an action cinematography is done, which is how they do it on classic Hong Kong films.
“looking like the toughest ups driver out there” COLD BLOODED 😮😂😂
Completely agree with your top 3. All day, everyday and twice on Sunday.
The final scene from Flashpoint and the iPman scene, are my personal all time top 2 hand to hand scenes, ever. 👏👏
I'd say the final confrontation from flash point is still one of his best fights to this day. I love Donnie but he looked slower than usual in John Wick 😢
I believe with the John wick series the fights are mostly single shot and not sped up like typical action movies. The thing I appreciate about the Wick movies is the realism behind the combat. Realistic moves and grapples in hand to hand combat and no infinite ammo.
That’s because Keanu can’t keep up. Which isn’t any knock on him since both guys are about 60 years old. But that just speaks to Donnie’s athleticism that he has to slow down for his costars
@Jake Collins except there's a ton of BTS on both of these guys and they both look pretty much the same. Donnie fast, Keanu slower (but still incredibly fast for his age). They really need to let this franchise die because you just cant up the ante with an old man doing his own stunts like Keanu. They would have to go with a stunt double and lots of choppy camera cut fights that would look nothing like the John Wick H2H fights we love
Having seen JW4, I’m guessing the series is over, but they might have someone try and fill his shoes
@Jake Collins 99% of Hong Kong action movies are sped up. Most of Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Sammo Hung movies are also sped up. Doesn't take anything away though unless you're bothered by art being anything but realistic
sad that we didn't see Ip Man use nunchuck in John Wick 4: Return of Donnie
Happy 60th Birthday, Donnie Yen!!!
I guess you guys never saw "Once upon a time in China 2" or "Hero".
Every fight he had with Jet Li was legendary.
He did such a good job in John Wick 4, the details to acting that role was flawless.
He's a badass
I just finished watching Special ID. Amazing movie, I really enjoyed the fight scenes. I really like his cool character in the movie! 👍👍👍
Donnie yen is definitely up there with Jackie Chan, jet lee, and Bruce lee 😤🔥
Ip Man is the true master of autonomous ultra instinct.
I started loving his acting from I P Man💓
A shame his fight with Jackie Chan in Shanghai Knight wasn't on the list. It was my first time seeing him in action and he owned Jackie Chan in that fight ... even the sword fight Jackie Chan had with the Aiden Gillen was great.
This guy should be given a Hollywood movie with him as the brains of the operation, I assure you that he can create a new action movie saga with great story telling. He had a hand with helping to create the characters of Chirrut and John Wick's Caine.
UPS driver LMAO
I remember being first intro in triple xxx return of xander cage and then saw his portrayal of ip man dude is just a phenomenal martial arts actor.
The the pure emotion and anger during the black belt fight is what does it. That fight is sooooo good
Kung fu killer, sakra, and ice man had excellent Donnie beast modes.
Donnie Yen playing Blind martial artists needs to be more of a thing.
Watch Legend of the Wolf.
I will loose my mind over this man
Great collection of scenes, Donnie Yen is the best!
Loved how WatchMojo saved the best one for last, Ip Man series is my top favorite. I'm just glad they put Donnie Yen in John Wick Chapter 4.
So happy for his success as a fan even before his Hollywood appearances.
I knew you're going to put his legendary 1v10 in first Ip Man as top 1 :D
