Fighting games based on big IPs and famous franchises are not uncommon. From Castlevania to Marvel superheroes and Power Rangers, there's a lot going on already, but there's room for so much more. In this video, we wanted to have a little fun and think about some of the franchises that could become great fighting games!

Honestly, overwatch their is literally a character modeled after fighting game characters like doomfist and all the characters I can imagine fitting into certain character archetypes
A One Piece fighting game is what I'd love to see.

Dude, not having a Godzilla fighting game is a war crime.
Toho has created _so many_ memorable kaijus that it could easily fill an entire roster and DLC seasons, with King Kong or the Megazord as 3rd party DLC.

Full Metal Alchemist, with DNF duel designs and Granblue Fantasy gameplay. Add the option to play with 1,2 or 3 characters, like in skullgirls. After all, many fights in the series are team battles.
It’s weird that took someone so many years to hire Eighting to make a fighting game like Marvel vs Capcom 3. MvC3 was 11 years ago. And they’ve worked with Bandai Namco in the years since. It’s easy to imagine them doing some tag team 2D fighting game for some publisher they worked with in the past. Like Eighting doing a Final Fantasy crossover fighting game for Square Enix, some Jump (could also be Super Robot Wars or Kamen Rider) crossover fighting game for Bandai Namco, some Pokémon one for Nintendo, or a Sony crossover fighting game for Sony.
The same thing holds true for Dimps. Dimps worked for the Street Fighter 4 games, Street Fighter X Tekken, and the Street Fighter 5 games for Capcom. You’d think someone would’ve come along and hired them to make a 2D fighting game for them.
I don’t see a Arc System Works One Piece fighting game happening... but I do think we get a Jump crossover one from them following the success of Dragon Ball FighterZ. If fighting games got treated like they used to, a One Piece one would make sense. But this new thing where a fighting game comes out and then they’re hanging with that game longer than Capcom did with Street Fighter 2, I’m not sure anything other than Jump makes much sense. Like if they announced a One Piece fighting game was coming out next year, (or the end of this year) you might have to wait somewhere between 2030 and 2032 for them to move on to a giant Jump crossover. I know I don’t want to wait that long.
It’s kind of weird there hasn’t been a good Stat Wars fighting game. It’s a little weird they never went to any of the big fighting game studios and had them do a fighting game, and it’s essentially weird one made by the Soulcalibur never followed the Star Wars characters showing up in Soulcalibur 4. And it ain’t like Bandai Namco doesn’t make games for other publishers
I hope we'll get another ArcSys Persona fighting game and that there wouldn't just be Persona 5 characters only (or just P6, who knows).
In terms of dream fighting games would be Fire Emblem one (just imagine how awesome it could be in Granblue Versus or GG Strive style), Final Fantasy obviously (kinda hope for Dissidia return), Marvel vs DC but in MvC style, I'm tired of depicting comic book characters as a tryhard edgelords, Star Wars (let's face it, Disney already ruined lightsabers, there wouldn't be more harm from 10-20-100-string lightsaber combos).
Nah, it's Naruto that's more appropriate for a tag fighting game. Not only the teams in the anime are composed of three (except a squad captain, of course), and each character has clear various moves.
I like a RWBY fighting game by Netherrealm. It's a more realistic outcome than Marvel vs. DC.
Sure, it most likely makes more money, but why would you want to undo the one big legacy such as Marvel vs. Capcom just to risk making another?
They could just make a Marvel fighting game, but it could be just an injustice reskin. Injustice is just not nearly as big as MvC. The roster would split into 2 sides so many of your favorite characters may not make it, even with DLC. Lastly, Disney and Marvel hate crossovers like this while WB and DC embrace them.
As for RWBY, it's faster paced than MK and injustice. They could just double down on the aggressive gamplay of MKX and the air combos of MK1.

game of thrones would go CRAZY!
Final Fantasy is way better not as a Street Fighter game but as a game played with and against friends. Dissidia NT is fine template except they just need to lose the bravery system. It honestly works better as MOBA like game which would actually stop the roster from being 20 sword users and 10 magic users.
Also the perfect straight up fighting game is Bleach. This franchise's one appeal is designing characters with unique powers. And they have so many of them. Whoever adapts these Bleach characters will push traditional fighting games mechanics beyond what we could ever expect.
I would love to see these games either come back or made into fighting games:

Tmnt tournament fighters 2(1v1)
Gundam platform fighter
Naruto fighter(1v1)
Sega fighting game (1v1)with golden axe, sonic, streets of rage, altered beast and Shinobi characters
New bloody roar
New primal rage
Easily i pick Record of Ragnarok
Game of thrones has been in a fighting game. And I know you have a traditional fighter elitist brain but Game of thrones especially if you're talking about large scalable battles would fit much better for a dynasty warriors type game
1 - one piece has a very underrated but ACTUALLY AWESOME arena fighting game with power levels like mvc3 dark phoenix shit, try it out, not that serious competitevely but stil worthy your time
1.5 - bleach is amazing but many characters could be hard to bring to a fighter, not that i would not want, but what about Saint Seyia?
2 - Dissidia??? its not street fighter but.....
4 - Azula you crazy bitch, i love you
7 - marvel vs dc is like the wet dream of anyone that ever touched a arcade stick probably only second by street vs mk, but NRS making it in the actual state of MK1....not sure
8 - the zelda idea could be the smash like but more darker, the zelda universe has amazing style and the characters work in that kind of gameplay for fact

I think having Cloud from final fantasy be a guest fighter in Soul Calibur. I think you will fit the ecstatic and a fun addition to the roster. If there's going to be a new Soul Calibur game.

Aren't there already several one piece fighting games? I know you probably are being a traditional fighter elitist but arena fighters are definitely a thing
