I still remember a Gunne Sax-style sundress I had in the late 1970s, with a fitted bodice, sleeveless, lace edged, tiny buttons going down the bodice too, flounce on the bottom of the knee length skirt. It was black fabric with tiny pink roses. I always felt so cute in it.
If you do your makeup well, they still see you even if you wear colors. It’s all in the right balance and also what you want to express about yourself that day. Plus there are people who need the coverage for people to see them like themselves, not like their skin issues - let’s just love everything!

I just bought a really cute denim dress. I can’t wait for it to get warm enough to wear it because it’s sleeveless. The skincare versus makeup is great! I’m really invested in my skin. I’m in my mid 60’s and most people guess me to be in my late 40’s. I love black for spring dresses. I absolutely love seeing denim on others, but for some reason, I don’t like it on myself. I have some super cute denim shirts & jackets, but I never choose them to wear. Maybe I just need to force myself to wear one & see if I change my mind. Thank you for a great video! 😊
Love your videos! As someone who both knits and crochet I had to comment. Crochet is a totally different story and makes totally different fabric. It can be made open or very dense. It can only be made by hand. All the sweaters she showed or a open or lace knit.🙂

They used to call "walking shorts" "city shorts"...same kind of thing...more of a business casual, classic, "walk through the city" rather than hang on the beach, type short. Though of course you can wear them anywhere, city or country...they're just dressier, classed up. I love the look. I need to get some this summer because I missed the boat last year...just never found ones that worked, but didn't look hard enough, long enough either.

Its such a elegance , mystery, sexiness, all in one 😜I just love it I have so many black dresses. And just purchased Tom Ford semi sheer very interesting fabric texture turtleneck, now I just need to get my hair blonder -balayage , and red lipstick or smokey eye. I always was a jean dress girl, so manner where it goes in the fashion world, I will always stick with my jean materials. I didn't think I could wear black because of my skin hue, but I did a fashion benefit show, and the designer stuck me in black and from that point on I never looked back. He gave me confidence with colors and now I wear any color, every color which really gave me confidence over the last few years and I'm keeping it forward. Far as jewelry, I keep to my dainty items. Love everything in the video, you clothing fit you so perfect.
I love V-necks and also square-necks, the straight neckline looks so good under my blazers. (I have a fuller bust, like you, Anna. I won’t show any cleavage, but high crew necks make me look bustier, which I don’t want. Showing some skin on the upper chest is flattering and visually lengthening for us petites).

I think the fit of the new take of them goes back to the styles of shorts during the 90s and will be a great fit for a classic tailored look. Denim dresses look wonderful. Not sure if you're familiar with Kitchener's essences, but this looks like a great option for Naturals. I agree with having a black dress. It's a true classic to have around. Love the metallics, I have a bunch of metallic style shoes. Also love the pearls being a great accessory. I find that v-necks are flattering for my body type, it balances out my narrow shoulders with the rest of me. Glad to see they're making a comeback. :)

I'm happy to say that I have followed some of the Spring/Summer trends for 2024 without actually knowing that they were trends. Your hair makes you look 10 years younger today. Going out skirts: I just wore a faux leather skirt from Walmart with a cream Urban Revivo top; all cream look. I've work silver sequin skirt with white button down top. Black tutu with a graphic tee. I love the use of interesting skirts for a change of pace.

I have a lovely one in white and it fits me perfectly. I also have 2 black summer dresses, one longer with the side slit and the other with a square neck which is short. Never miss your videos! Madonna boos 😂. I’m 46! Getting dressed was a lot easier in my 20’s & 30’s somehow! Now, I’m still struggling to put on a pair of pants & shirt I love, where I feel stylish, cute, comfortable, & put together, then accessorize 🤦♀️. Even though my closet is overflowing with pieces (pieces, not outfits ;). Even then, I’m sure the outfits are in there… I just get so overwhelmed & then usually just meltdown. Admittedly, this may be due to the 10-15 pds that I still haven’t been determined enough to loose yet. Thanks for more help!!

I love the metallics and have always worn them. I don’t mind an understated makeup look but I can’t help seeing a woman with no makeup and thinking she just doesn’t look put together or worse just doesn’t care. Everyone looks better with a bit of makeup.
