Investing in well made garments does not mean you need a huge bank account. You can find them at good thrift or consignment shops and then have them tailored. You do not need to be 'rich' to look classy. Using these tips, and leaning more to a quiet refinement and less towards trends will not only save you money but you will feel and look like a million bucks. I'd love to see someone do video comparing the two different ways (limitless budget versus on a budget) and see if they could pick out which was which.
@@2cmrinhfx they are so many ways in being classy it’s not just on what you wear is the way you act and self confidence in yourself knowing what to say and how to respect others to some it all your upbringing
I have a variety of few perfume that I like but what consider my signature perfume is the one I get the most compliments on is Lancome’s Poem even after 25yrs. It never fails & beats Chanel Madamosielle to the post!
I lived with rich people as a neighbor a big part of my life. Here are some facts. Rich men are NOT married to beautiful women. They go for personality, charm and intellect because they are easy bored. Rich people wear old T-shirts, drive their dads old pick up truck and don't associate with "trendy" or flashy people because they are annoying. They don't buy new cars all the time and treat their household staff very well. Their kids are NOT getting what they want all the time and learn early how to trade stocks or the importance of saving and investing. Rich people don't shop all day long. So with all of these facts this video is nonsense.
I believe the creator of this channel equates one with the other. She is referring to the old rich who are graciously stylish, not the nouveau riche who flaunt it.
I agrree. My approach is to look classy without looking rich and I happily tell people I buy my stylish clothes from charity shops Edit Add... I never buy synthetic clothes and if you know your colour season wow does it make your face and eyes pop
Ime 61 and wear either solitaire diamonds or pearls and my perfume has changed each decade ,this decade is yellow libre; when people ask what are you wearing and you can’t smell it you know you have it right ; so I’ve been told ❤️
Do you know some people are so used to their own perfume that, as you say, they can't smell their own perfume anymore? They've become accustomed to it and wear too much. This can be a problem. There are some women at my workplace whose perfume I can smell from 15 feet away. I can smell their perfume when they've passed through a hall but are no longer in sight. So far, I haven't liked any of their perfume as they aren't fresh smelling. It smells stale to me, permanently entrenched in their clothing and sometimes mixed with a bad smell like cigarette smoke or body odor. It's better not to wear perfume, but of course who will stop them?
and no fat hanging over your pants or rolls of fat. Pretty much if youare thin you can wear this stuff otherwise people no tats they are disgusting and no fat hanging over your belly
How come none of you look great gurus ever say, “learn to sew!” It’s really the BEST investment, even if you only hem and do simple “tailoring” yourself. It also guides your shopping to understand what would be a simple fix and what would be a nightmare (read, EXPENSIVE fix). Shoulders, ladies, are one of those pricey fixes.
Try to wear similar styles and have your hair and makeup done simply and similarly year after year, that way you will always stay young when people see you years later, they'll say you've never aged. It's a trick i learned from watching elegant Hollywood stars. I love paloma Picasso, its a beautiful, clean perfume, i uae the perfume winter tome and the lighter version at summer. When i have migraines, i don't use the perfume. I mix light essential oils with my lotions. My best tip is, drinking lots of water, eating healthy, and moisturizing the skin. I have skin creams in every purse, in every bathroom, and in every room, as well as water bottles. Otherwise, i look simple and elegant by purchasing mostly from the thrift stores.
I totally agree except for perfume… I’ve got many I cannot use just one. I have not found the perfect one for any occasions and seasons. But all my perfumes are niche perfumes
Thank you for this, my maternal Gran was real lady although going the War meant there was not a lot of money around.. Her perfume was African Violet and after she passed away I could sometimes get little traces of it at unexpected moments! It still brings back happy memories although its not so popular any more.. Enjoyed this very much.
When I was 19 yrs old I had selected a tailor who was the best. He fitted me so well even when I could not afford expensive material. That was in India. I still miss him as he was the best.

Good advice. I always wore Chanel No. 5, but I had to finally admit that it does not last on me. Fortunately,Arpège came back to the US, and that is what I now wear. Always buy quality garments. It is not worth spending money tailoring cheap items.
The same thing happened to me after YEARS of wearing perfume without issues. I finally read this hint and it works. Buy some scent-free moisturizer (or very lightly scented if you cannot find scent-free) and put it on your chest and abdomen. Allow it to absorb and dry and then spray your perfume on those 2 places. The moisturizers hold the scent in place for much longer than it lasts on bare skin. Also, with Chanel, ALWAYS check the label on the bottom of the bottle and ONLY buy it if it says “Made in France.” The formulation made in this country is inferior, imo. It never lasts. If you have friends going on a cruise ask them to buy it for you on the ship. You’ll get the real deal. Good luck! 🍀
Great information. I do tailor my clothes, and try to have a simple color scheme. I’m going to ditch fancy color nail polish, and go have my make up done by a professional. I totally agree in timeless quality jewelry. I love this video! 😊

I have worn a fragrance by Ralph Lauren called Lauren Style for 20 years. They quit producing it more than 10 years ago. I am grateful for my boyfriend who found me a supply of it. It is rather scarce now. The sad part of the industry is that when the patent expires so does the value. I have found something similar Giorgio Armani My Way. Perhaps it is as close as I can get to Lauren Style. Does anyone else experience this problem of discontinuation of products?
I had initially planned to retire at 62, work part-time, and save money, but the impact of high prices on various goods and services has significantly disrupted my retirement plan. I'm worried about whether those who experienced the 2008 financial crisis had it easier than I currently am. The volatility of the stock market is a concern as my income has decreased, and I fear that I won't be able to contribute as much as before, potentially jeopardizing my retirement savings.
I have worn Shalimar as a signature scent since I was sixteen years old. And, of course, I wear it only if people are not allergic to it. My Mom had our clothing tailored (I am a twin) and she often made our clothing herself. I often wear a special piece of heirloom jewelry.
Another tip is not to wear obvious luxury logos on your person. Real rich people don't advertise another company's branding. You will rarely find someone with a huge LV, or GG on their bodies or even carrying those types of purses. Also to be a dead giveaway is definitely a good haircut. Ever notice that if you get a nice cut and blowout and then go around town, people treat you differently? Beats a ponytail and baseball cap anyday.
If you have friends who may be cruising, ask them to buy the perfume for you in the ship’s store. You will get the best quality formulation. ALWAYS check the label to identify the location of manufacture to see if it is where the company is located. Chanel, for example, is a French company but some of the Chanel 5 is made in Parsippany, NJ , and it is awful, but the Chanel sold on board is original, sophisticated and lovely. Good luck! 🍀
I don't understand why you use the word "rich women ". Is a normally thinking and living woman not able to buy nice clothes and fit her figure only the rich one? My grandmother was not rich at all, but she could afford to make alterations at the tailor's or order a tailor-made skirt or dress.. She never had her hair done at the hairdresser's, but tied her hair modestly in a bun. She always looked nice and it was not only due to well-fitting clothes, but to her figure, her appearance. And being rich doesn't make us beautiful and attractive. It's a matter of behavior, movement. It's just innate femininity, grace. It's something that no one can buy for any millions.
Watch it with the jewelry and expensive handbags in urban areas. In LA I used to dress down on purpose, one step above homeless. And you're not safe in nice restaurants either, bag thefts from the table are a thing now.
Try staying away from U.S. fragrances. They use a lot of synthetic chemicals. Also, many Italian scents are heavier. Good, French perfumes use real flowers. It makes a world of difference.
A signature scent is one thing but even the most expensive scent can be overpowering if worn that way. I wish you had said something like it isn't supposed to be the Herald who goes out before someone to announce their arrival. At times some people's overpowering scent gags me.
So strange you featured Princess Diana’s great-aunt Barbara Cartland. Yes she may have been sporting peacock blue eyeshadow but that picture was from the 60s when it was perfectly acceptable. And she was a multi-millionaire in her own right.
I think that’s probably the reason for using that image. it’s like a contrast of what several practice might have been a thing for rich women in the past has already lost its spark in the present. Natural make up is the new acceptable make up now, for its own reasons.
Glad you watched 💛I added a list of products in the video description for you to check out!

Trick is to not wear too much perfume.2
Especially in confined places like on an airplane. It gives me a headache sitting next to someone with too much perfume.
I have allergies. I am looking for a nonfloral scent. A vanilla base…?
Try staying away from U.S. fragrances. They use a lot of synthetic chemicals. Also, many Italian scents are heavier. Good, French perfumes use real flowers. It makes a world of difference.
I like Nantucket crab tree and Evelyn but it got discontinued
