interesting video all the other videos show the baffle wrapped not packed. i am in a situation where i cant wrap but need to packit in as your video. im going to try this method
Normally yes, but not with these cocktail shakers, they fit tightly inside the pipe. That's why I stuffed the inside. After about 1000 miles the packing material is still there.
The glass fiber is never crossed by the exhaust gas, never ! It's not a filter. The glass fiber with holes is just a sound wave absorber. Not an exhaust gas filter ! It will be destroy after very short time. You must reduce the section and wrap AROUND the baffle. ( and no cap at the end of the baffle ) ....
loved the video mate. i want to try the same with my royal enfield. i plan to stuff the open pipes with steel wool. my only concern is the steel wool catching fire or getting sucked into the engine somehow as i am running a open system
I want to do this mod only concern i have is will the fiberglass catch fire without a catalitic converter to stop the spark mine sounds like straight pipes with the emgo muffler way to damn loud
@@alexey2243 I did something similar on my bike yesterday, not half as good of a job though. It blow out within a few hours of riding. Think il go back and do a proper job this time. Safe riding.
Good job and I will try the same. But as for your helmet, do you like eating bugs or getting hit in the face with bugs or rocks that might fly out from the wheels of cars from in front of you?? And worst case scenerio, face plant onto the road or a tree wouldn't be good at all. You just don't get enough protection from an open face helmet. No matter how cool you think they are, they are not worth it.
Glad my video helped you and I appreciate your concern for my safety. I mean, I am really touched... Last time I felt so much care was from my mother. Lol Ride safe brother!
"No matter how cool you think they are, they are not worth it" - you may be right, but...do you mean open face helmets, or bikes !? Many a teenager not allowed a bike because they are told too dangerous. Where do you draw the line ?
@@alexey2243 great video Sounds so much better. I run cocktail shakers on my triumph and rebel 450. This helps get rid of the tinny sound also. Funny you go around the block for 5 minutes with half helmet on a hot day and get yelled at lmao. You do you. I also wear a half helmet when it’s hot.
Great sound after the mod. Looking to put one of these mufflers on my 2018 Royal Enfield Classic 500. Thanks for the video. Very helpful.
It’s not an emissions filter and not supposed to go in the exhaust. It’s for noise so goes round the baffle to sound insulate

Nice panniers
I think you are supposed to wrap the fiberglass around the muffler, not stuffing it. eventually all of it will be blown out of the pipe

The bike cannot breath correctly if you stuff it inside.
how did you get your mufflers to turn up like that and not just straight? Looks great..
Thanks! I saw other similar shakers being straight, but those I bought are slightly bent upwards from the manufacturer

It meant to filter sound. And that’s exactly what it does ))

Wow nice i have a 2012 speedmaster how do it fit do i need modify brackets
No brackets needed. They are short and relatively light and held only by the main clamp at the front. Good luck!
@@alexey2243 Thanks so mutch
it nice sound
wrap the glass baby!! toooooo funny!
😂😂 but he’s created custom made baffles with science behind it that he’s not going into😂😂😂🤦♂️
Nicely done sir! I'm looking at quieting down my Porsche 911 now running with out mufflers. Love the sound but it's pretty tiring.
Thx

fibreglass doesn't burn
The steel wool will though for sure
I tried this and the fiberglass smoked for about 10 minutes after shutting the bike down lol.
Did it stop smoking? lol
@@alexey2243 no I had to repack it lol. Then I just put the stock mufflers back on
Did you notice any powerloss from the restriction of the fiber glass?
NATHAN CASSIDY Not at all. Probably gained a little because it creates needed back pressure in the system
@@alexey2243 I did something similar on my bike yesterday, not half as good of a job though. It blow out within a few hours of riding. Think il go back and do a proper job this time.
Safe riding.
NATHAN CASSIDY Make sure you wrap that fiberglas tight before inserting.
It's better to stuff the fibreglass to the exhaust header....
How long did the packing last
3K miles since the installation. Still there
Really ruined baffle instead of use simple steel wire to secure it ? Doesn't look right on so many levels

😂😂😂😂😂
wrong
Hi Darren, do you mean this technique is wrong?. Is there a better way to do what he’s trying to do here?
