Pro tip to anyone visiting when looking at the elk. Please pull over to side of the road. A lot of people tend to park in the middle of the 101 when they come across them.
Stunning redwood forests with the tallest trees in the world, incredible beaches, eye popping scenery throughout the county and by far the friendliest people in all of California. Per capita, the highest concentration of creative artists and musicians in the United States. A great place to celebrate living!
One good thing to note, the climate changes vastly where you are. There are tons of micro-climate here in Humboldt county so be prepared to go from foggy/cold to hot/sunny fairly quickly.
@@RunTheAtlas Nope, not at all. We get little rain from April,May until October. Its not humid here at all. You do not sweat when you get out of the shower. Glasses do not fog up all the time. In Humboldt most of the population lives near the coast where you do get a marine layer that burns off by 1 or 2 PM. But by land mass most of Humboldt County is hot in the summer. Just go inland 2 miles and we have the best swimming rivers you have ever seen.

We also have the highest per capita in giving to charity. Lots of inspiration living here.

You don't have to worry about rain for the most part in the summer. Mostly fog and mist from the marine layer.
