This is awful Arch! I hope you had really good insurance to cover your collection. Don't ever publicize that you are leaving home as you as inviting burglars to visit your home while you are away. Don't leave your watches at home while you are away, put them in a safe deposit box. Have separate watch/jewelry insurance (or a rider on your homeowner's policy). Buy a dozen Wyze cameras (they are cheap) and have them covering every part of your home (inside and out) and also point one at your safe/areas of your home you care about. Don't leave anything to chance!

Sadly, property crimes usually don't have much follow up investigation, if any at all. Property crimes are not the highest priority with most police departments, due to a lack of resources and violent crimes on the rise nearly everywhere due to liberal polices, and the justice system NOT keeping criminals locked up in jail and continually releasing chronic offenders back onto the streets where they can continue to victimize our communities. It's beyond sad, it's infuriating.

I doubt it's phake. The way the safe was cut into, and all the dust etc. it's obvious it was done right there in the room. If it were phake he most likely would have brought in a safe that had been cut up somewhere else and wouldn't have gone to the lengths of trashing the entire room to make it look like it had been done there. But what do I know, I'm no detective. At best/worst he's phibbing about what was removed from it. It is weird that he has a safety deposit box that he usually stores his watches in while he's out of town but this one time didn't use it because he said he 'ran out of time', when he's been planning this trip for months.
