Peter was always awkwardly adorable....
Adorable Davy. So heartbroken he left us so soon. 😔
Loved these guys 55 years... All 4 of them..
3:46 - Peter from his days acting in Hamlet. OMG!!! SWOON
Peter was adorable so funny
I am and always be a fan of the Monkees i knew them before the beetles so knowing the Monkees will always be my favorite group.RIP DAVY JONES PETER TORK AND MIKE NESMITH GOD BE WITH YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU GUYS ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😮😮😮
It seems like just a few yrs ago that i watched them on tv for the 1st time. And now, they are all gone. Geez, i suddenly feel REALLY OLD. im 68. Life does move SOOO FAST! RIP guys!
Micky's still around, singing, etc!
No one today could pull off such a genuine interview. I always loved these guys. Davy, R.I.P.
Davy was in the studio at EMI Abbey Road the night John Lennon took LSD by mistake. I think that was in George Martins book. "All You Need is Ears" or was it Geoff Emerick's book? . . . smh I forget.
These boys are still monkeeing around after 20 years (At the time)
Peter:I taught academics and other pupils.
That's so funny,I love this. This whole thing's hilarious.
So underrated great music they are still a part of my life I'm 65 now
Davy with the standard 80's mullet.
it suits him surprisingly well. the fun thing with fads is that everyone does it, even if it doesn't complement their countenance. Worked great for Davy but I'm not sure it'd work as well for Peter.
It’s pretty bitchin’
My dad was a guest on this show the same day this was filmed. I didn’t get to meet them, but I saw all of the behind the scenes stuff. They filmed a bunch of episodes that day. The studio was WTNH 8’s news studio. The normal news sets were hidden behind the stage and dressings.
the monkees music is awesome
Davys hair was beautiful
They’re all so crazy and full of fun here! Thanks for sharing.
Ohhhh....the guys are at their peak here. It's a year into the reunion phase, and they have soooo much confidence at this point. I remember it well, this interview, and many others. What a delightful time it was....
fantastic stuff, thanks for posting!
wish Mike was involved but I think Peter made up for it. 😻 definitely had acting and music talent and naturally comedic personalities that fit perfectly on top.
they are hysterical l...lol but no Mike again..azz RIP Davey, love u guys!
Still have the same biggest crush on Mickey Dolenz that I did in 1966. He's just so freaking adorable. I'm still in love with the boy!
He is on the new Cameo app - where you can get celebrities to send you video greetings. I got him to send me one and he's still awesome!! Wish I had been able to get one from Peter!!!
I met Micky when he was in Hairspray in London's West End. Seemed a lovely fella.
4:44 Micky hilarious as always

I L💖ve it !!!! Hey hey they're the Monkeys 💖😍. Grew up diggin their Shows .😄💕
Peter : We weren't a rock and roll band, we were a Salsa band (at 2:45). Laugh Out Loud
Love his irony
Now that would have been a really good group of bachelors for The Dating Game, Lucky contestant. Love these guys so sad that Peter & Davy are gone. They’re all so cute & funny here. Gone but never forgotten! 💙
I miss seeing Sally on TV and I miss Davy even more .
I know Sally was a good talk show there is no good talk shows on today TV is so stinky today.
Yeah. Wonder what happened to Sally Jesse. She was a great talk show host.
I miss her show. Great shows back then.
I think I remember this interview at the time. 👍 👌
This was great fun to watch; thanks for posting!

OMG... I think I still have the VHS tape of this someplace. My Mom taped it for me when I was in school (I was 8 or 9 at the time). Thanks for uploading this!!! :-D
I bought Davy's book. It's done well and I found it to be entertaining and truthful.
was cool to learn davy hung with Monnie
They are absolutely funny 🙃😊😃they are having soooo much fun here😀it would have been nicer to have all 4 of them up there
I really could not believe Davy was gone,I really miss him¡
I was 13 years old when this came out.
I didn’t know cats lived that long.
Loved these guys!!!
Love these guys in any era.
Dear Peter - doing Hamlet!!!
I loved the "Standing up" joke on Davy for his short stature (like in the series), was so cute. I love these guys, they were so funny
Mike Nesmith was my "Favorite Monkee" and Micky Dolenz was my younger sister's favorite. 🐵🐒🐵🐒
I will always love them ❤❤❤❤
Oh boy. Check out Davy's mullet.
541967 Davy rocks the mullet!
"There is so such thing as casting couch for boys" I wheezed so hard

I can't help feel a little saddened watching interviews of the Monkees, because Davy Jones (12/30/1945 to 2/29/2012 ) and Peter Tork (2/13/1942 to 2/21/2019) are no longer with us.
Terry Marvin (Dallas, Texas)
Me too
...and now Mike Nesmith. (12/30/42 to 12/10/21) 😞
Oh wow! I remember this tour! I saw them in concert that year & I bought "Pool It" as well as done older cassettes of theirs with music from the 60's. Boy, Davy Jones was still so cute back then! And they never lost their sense of humor too!
So cool you got to see them live I never got the chance
God I love these wierdos
Sally didn't know that they weren't a band before they were brought together to play the Monkees? what homework did she do? I knew that just from watching the show and reading magazines.
R I P Davy R I P Peter love you both !
Here we come walking down the audience lol.
Leonard Nimoy became a Volcan, lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great great show. Yes missing Davy. So many gone too soon
Rocking those mullets!
Davy Jones and his highlights. Sally looks so young
I actúa had that book when it first came out.
1987 - Davy was 4 (that December) , Micky 42 and Peter 45. Micky and Davy were younger than i was in this video than i was now! LOL (I'm almost 44 this year! LOL)
Colleen Robinson wow 4 year olds looked old in the 80's...
Los quiero de vuelta a los 4
Mike❤️Micky❤️Peter❤️&Davy❤️, que Davy y Peter siguieran vivos.
7:27 oh well i'm sorry about that, put this book away! , that I wrote! .....LOL
Too bad Sally Jessy's show went off the air years ago!
Omg that mullet
Many years ago I was on a flight to New York and as we were getting ready to take off they announced that a couple famous passengers were on board. It was a pro athlete who got some applause and then, lastly “talk show host Sally Jessy Raphael!”
Silence.
When Sally asked if they ever work together or so each other after the Monkees I'm surprised Micky did not talk about Dolanz, Jones, Boyce & Hart. Even more surprising is that Mickey said that he and Peter did not work together when in fact they did at least three concerts together.
5:05 had to be one of the very first promo pics. They weren’t quite “long haired weirdos”. lol
I'm getting used to 80s Davy and find him cute now. But the hair. I have also just read Davy's book. I can't believe how old it is! I was 7 when this came out and had just started watching the 60s them. This would have thrown me! x
Davy Peter R I P and Davy Ill Love you Forever !!
They're such sweeties.
1:30 OMG is Davy sucking his thumb??
MULLET ALERT!!
Oh my mistake originally aired 1987....still. unbelievable.
Wow. These 3 are ridiculous in this interview/free-for-all and it’s hilarious. Sally never had control of that stage 😆
Love Peter doing Hamlet!
Davey's mullet though....lol
They dressed better in the 60's then in the 80's,
Sally chill
Mike Nesmiths mother was the one that discovered liquid paper white out.
Liquid Paper. Wite Out is a different product with a different formula
The only Monkeys I like are these !!!!
*Monkees* ,🤡
Davy's mullet!
@wandaluverr yep, Peter's sick of that one as well! LOL!
So sad to watch with Peter and Davy gone. Man I feel old watching this Sally was a good show there was so many good talk shows on then. TV show has gotten crappy these days. We need family shows not adult only
Their 4 where is fourth guy
hawking a book genius
❤️ the monkey mudic group: especially tv show; musuc
What happened to Mike?
Micky never worked with Peter?? "Oh Someone", 1971???
3:45 hamlet
What was the new single, video???!!!
This was 1987 and they were promoting their "Pool It" album so most likely was for the song Heart and Soul ua-cam.com/video/mo7cBvd62Uw/v-deo.html
6:38
Where's the other Monkee?
There were four right?
5:48
What happen to the fourth-monkee?
+1BlubeTube he didn't want to have anything to do with this rubbish
+Coldacre Can't blame him for that. Our talk shows in America are like trailer-trash.
Mike wouldnt do talk shows or interviews
Davy was 66 when he passed away, and I'm 66 right now,
but in my late 50s I already had a stroke; if Davy drank apple
juice every day, like I did for 30 years maybe that would've saved him ( I'm not paralyzed).?
He didn't have a stroke. He had a heart attack. He was genetically predisposed to have one as it ran in his family
man, the 80s on TV were so white!
8:38
9:10
So glad the Monkees decided to hijack the show a little, with humor and class no less. Sally Jessy becomes almost intolerable to watch as she seems to feel that control over the show is slipping away--she should've had a better TV/production sense and let them improvise more. The audience loved it; can't argue with that.
peter got funnier
Goodness sake could raphael have been any more patronising in her introduction ?
🐵🐵🐵
Sally trying to stay on script. That's pointless in an interview and completely futile when Micky is around.
As short as he is Davy looks terrible with a mullet
Everyone looks terrible with a Mullet
Disagree.. Davy looks good in anything.
Talk shows today got nothing on this. Today's talk shows the guests aren't funny or personable.
