Here are some of the studies conducted to prove that turmeric is good for diabetic patients.
    • A 2013 study shows that curcumin helps decrease the blood sugar level and other side effects caused by Diabetes.
    • Two studies showed that giving turmeric can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in patients with type 2 diabetes.
    • A study found that curcumin decreased kidney damage caused by Diabetes, as well as improving levels of cholesterol and glucose.
    • Another study has shown that gout sufferers who took 300mg of curcumin daily for three months had reduced joint pain and tenderness than those given a placebo.
    • The use of curcumin to improve glycemic control has been studied in patients with type 2 diabetes.
    • In one trial, administering a fixed-dose (1000 mg) of curcumin twice daily for four months resulted in lower glycated hemoglobin levels (HbA1C), a marker of glycemic control, by 0.7% compared to the patients who received placebo.
    • Another study found that curcumin for six months in patients with type 2 diabetes resulted in a 3.8% decrease in fasting blood glucose than the placebo-treated group.
    • Studies have shown that regular intake of turmeric has helped improve diabetic nephropathy, one of the most common complications among people suffering from DM2. It reduces the levels of markers associated with kidney damage like serum creatinine, albuminuria, and microalbumin.
    • A study published in 2011 showed that Turmeric extract with curcuminoids helped diabetic patients maintain glycemic control better than Metformin drug therapy without any side effects associated with metformin use.
    • Patients who were given curcumin extract showed more improvements in insulin resistance within three months. After only three months, over 50% of the study participants could reduce their diabetes medication.

For years I suffered from chronic sinus problems and had lost my sense of smell for several years. I would often end up with bronchitis or a sinus infection resulting in needing to go on antibiotic. After extensive research and trying many different remedies, I ran across a recipe for turmeric milk. I tried it once, but didn’t like it. I decided to try it in my morning coffee. Well, to my surprise in about 2 weeks, my sense of smell came back. I had seen a ENT specialist, taken all kinds of medications and had even considered surgery on my sinuses to correct my problem and all it took was turmeric. It’s been about 4 years now and I’m still taking the turmeric in my coffee along with Ceylon cinnamon, ginger powder, dash of cayenne pepper and I don’t have sinus problems anymore. I’m 76 years young and feel great. I hope this helps someone.

Here in India, We use turmeric/ blackpepper/cinnamon.+ other spices.. In all three meals, everyday ..... It is primarily used to control inflamation in body which leads to cancer prevention. Indians have very low prevalence of mental diseases like Alziemer, Parkinson etc due to regular turmeric use etc ..... I have not seen any near dear one dying of mental disease. Glad to know, it's helps in diabetes control as well.

In nature every green leaf make a double molecule called sugar. The molecule has one part glucose which is easily used by the body the other part of the sugar is called fructose which is turned into fats or glycogen which is the stored sugar. The trouble lies with the fructose part of the sugar because it is twice as sweet as glucose and is processed in great quantities by modern society. I have been a beekeeper for nearly 50 years and reached the grand old age of 81 and is a controlled diabetic because I realise we have a food body not a chemical body . Very good talk thank you

if using once a day then quarter /one-third table spoon of turmeric + 2 pinch of black pepper - 2 pinch of cinnamon in one glass of milk (since it is fat soluble). Boil it. Take it hot before bed time.

Dear Dr. Will boiling Termeric Powder with a glass of Milk, which by the way used in Ayurveda for Cough and Cold, will be helpful in Diabetes? Will it be absorbed in one's body..
If it is so, what quantity will you suggest?
(You have Termeric Latte, which is same as our Termeric Milk)
Thanks in advance and Best Regards ..
