@@ninjabaiano6092 ah. Well, profiles getting reviewed is totally understandable. I thought you mean that adding/editing information is locked completely for regular users
Don't know if anyone cares, but at 7:44 in the Taiko no Tatsujin easter egg, a bunch of characters walk into the room in a single file line after a few seconds of leaving the light off. For the people who know, this is an obvious reference to the idea of Hyakki Yako, translated as "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons", which is basically the myth that when night falls in Japan, hordes of demons and other monsters fill the streets of towns, cities, and villages. The creatures that "parade" through the room are considered "yokai", which is basically a catch-all term for demons, monsters, and ghosts of all kinds.
The wolf eyes in Snow Runner aren't really a mystery - they're just there to simulate animals in the woods watching you as an aesthetic thing. They appear in most maps, at night. Same with the animals, they're meant to just be fleeting glimpses of animals to liven up the dead environments. I really thought the Snow Runner entry in this video was going to be the mysterious boatman who can be seen in one of the DLC maps (I forget which one) - there's a lake and a guy stood on a fishing boat with his back to you out in the middle of the lake. Other than the truck driver, he appears to be the only other human in the game, but no idea who he is as you can't drive to him (the water is too deep).
For anybody who is wondering about the buzzer, or UVB-76: heres a quick rundown of its usage. Basically, yes, it is used by the russian military to send messages over the air via radio, this has been confirmed. One of the previous locations has been investigated after the russian military vacated the premises, we know that it is broadcasted from a specific location and that it does in fact use a real machine to generate the noise. It's totally safe to broadcast to everyone because everything said is encrypted. Encryptions rely on having a specific key that allows anyone who gets the message to decrypt it, otherwise, the encryption is impossible to understand. The key changes often, according to several reliable sources including many people who served in the russian military. The buzzing is simply to stop anyone from broadcasting over the signal, it basically occupies that specific frequency so any broadcasts on that specific frequency will be picked up alongside the buzzer, making it very hard to make out any noises or sounds. It doesn't make any sense for UVB-76 to be a warning system for nuclear strikes. Early detection while nuclear weapons are in the air is much more vital, and is developed enough so that the buzzer is not needed for this purpose. Also, considering the physical location of the machine and broadcasting has changed several times, and it takes time to put the sound back on again, it doesn't make much sense, keeping it in the same spot would. As for interruptions in the buzzer by noises in the room of recording, that makes sense, considering any noises within a few metres of the recording device might be picked up due to amplification of sounds, including talking, televisions going off, and people from another room yelling.
@@toastymouse8230 Research the topic for a while, most of what I've said here is common sense. Think about it, we know that the station is controlled by the russian military, people have been inside the original broadcast location after it's been moved. As to how I know that messages are encrypted, it is the most likely explanation, considering that militaries use encrypted messages all the time, this would be no different. Several people who claimed to be in the russian military have already said this, but they don't need to, its obvious. It would be a security hazard to send unencrypted messages out onto the air like that. As to how I know that the buzzer is a placeholder for the frequency, well, that one too is obvious. The russian military don't want anybody using that channel so they place a buzzer on it. As for nuclear detection systems, look it up, you'll find plenty of information about how countries can use radar to detect ICBMS in the air. Russia has such a system, they wouldn't need a buzzer to detect that a strike has already occured. It's common sense my dude.
@@toastymouse8230 o and, UVB-76 has also been heard broadcasting strings of names, letters and numbers. There was one transmission like "04 979 D-R-E-N-D-O-U-T" followed by a longer series of numbers, then "T-R-E-N-E-R-S-K-I-Y" and yet more numbers. If this doesn't sound like encryption to you than you need more research.
@@kierancowface Buzzing the channel doesn't stop someone from using it. It stops people with less transmitting power from using it. The buzzing does, however, make it damned annoying to monitor the frequency.
For the Rabbids one, perhaps it's a stock horror texture. They only needed it for things like the caution signs, but the unmodified texture includes other horror-themed elements, namely the blood spatters. Alternatively, same idea, but rather than a stock texture it might be a texture from one of their other games. Again, the entire texture could have been brought over to Rabbids with the intention of just using a couple of the elements, while the other parts of it were meant for the game it was original made for. Third idea is that maybe the game was originally something else entirely, and evolved into a Rabbids game later on, after that texture was developed.
most likely explaination! though in rabbids go home you *do* murder a bunch of people. or at least maim them. and they 100% kill a bunch of animals. so honestly if they did kill everyone on that spaceship i cant say id be surprised
Yeah probably just a stock texture that had both the signs and the blood on it and they just didnt bother to remove the unused blood part of the texture
As a british person myself i can confirm that having the somehow perfectly preserved corpse of the main characters partner placed in a secret room is in fact incredibly funny.
On the Rabbids one, sometimes games use texture libraries that contain various different textures packed into one image file and they can use only the parts they need, maybe they used a "mad science lab" library and it contained the bloodstains.
Yeah Black Monday was a chronological sequel to the first game, as many of the events that take place and are referenced are built off of stuff that happened two years prior. Such as the Collins Gang being led by Nick's ineffective younger brother Jimmer who is woefully inept due to the death of Nick at the end of the first game. It's very bizarre that they re-used Mark's dead wife for that asset even if it's an easter egg however.
As a Taiko no Tatsujin fan, 1stpai looks to me, from what snippets I've seen, to be a good way of testing all note types and tempos/beats in one song. The fact that it's so creepy probably shows developers that a song was loaded improperly, assuming that it was the failsafe for when a song/chart couldn't be loaded, and/or if a tester was somewhere/did something they shouldn't have.
At this point, I'm convinced rockstar just left a buttload of unfinished content in their games and they're watching your vids after the fact like, "Yep, feature."
7:44 This easter egg is most likely a reference to the "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons", there's even Nurarihyon, the leader of the parade and supreme commander of all yokai.

I honestly hope they do. Undead Nightmare was so much fun and I can’t even begin to imagine the insanity that would take place in an Undead Nightmare 2.
Hey, I have some input for the Taiko no Tasujin DS easter egg. The inflow of monsters after touching the lightbulb are a cultural reference to the Night of 9000(?) Monsters. It partly refers to a night where monsters and ghosts are supposed to run a parade on the streets. There's also a tradition where so many lights would be lit in a room, where people would take turns telling ghost stories, dousing out one light per story. After the last lantern is blown out, the monsters can enter the building. ☺️☺️☺️ Hope this helps!!!
Oddheader is one of the few youtubers that actually showcase Easter eggs and hidden discoveries that I’ve never seen before, unlike most that just show the same thing over and over again.
Did you guys know that, in fact, you can find Yoshi in Super Mario 64 by getting 100%!?! Wait till you guys hear what the castle courtyard's statue says!
Video game Easter eggs and glitches are some of the greatest things to stumble across blind, most of the time they're immersion breaking, but when you find the perfect glitch it's incredible.
It's interesting when you find stories that don't seem appropriate in games. Like the deaths in the Choro Q games, which are largely light hearted and kid friendly beyond that. Honestly that might make some good content for a future video about disturbing content in video games that are aimed at kids.
This is just a small theory of mine, but I feel like in Taiko No Tasujin, 1st Pai's song could be a reference to the idiom of Japanese folklore Hyakki Yagyō (or Night Parade of One Hundred Demons). I feel this could be the case given the little Easter egg involving the lightbulb in the DS game has a literal parade of demons and yokai storm through the room in the scene. Also the terrifying fast beat and screaming could symbolize the demons and yokai when they parade through the streets of Japan at night! That's just my theory though┐( ∵ )┌
I don't know much about japaese history, but those rapid drumbeats sound like gunshots, and that demonic voice could be a reference to some kind of cult, possibly?
@@melaniejansen5748 yes, what i'm thinking is that this might be a reference to some massacre committed by a cult in japan? I might do A little digging, and come back later. its weird such a thing is referenced in a kids game... Wait! this could be a reference to WW2 too!
For the rabbids bloody texture it could be possible that some of the game’s textures are taken from some generic space-themed resource pack for developers. As it’s not an uncommon sight for space games to have some dark themes.
I don't know anything about red dead 2, but is it possible to make NPC's wear the pagan mask? I mean, the original sacrifice on the totem is wearing the mask, so if there's some "secret" sequence of actions you have to do in order to do the ritual, I would assume that's one of them. Honestly, I think so many of these things are fun because they tap into that "creepypasta" aspect of gaming. A combination of unfinished code, glitches, and game quirks coming together to create new and terrifying things that (sometimes) even the developers didn't fully intend is what makes it so thrilling.
I think the ghost Easter egg is from GTA V's ghost woman Easter egg on one of the mountains. Since Red Dead and GTA are both published by Rockstar, it's most likely just a reference from GTA.
While it does sound like that, it also brings to mind the Yanshui Beehive Fireworks Festival, a Taiwanese festival in which participants (albit fully armored) run at clusters of fireworks hoping to be hit

about the Snowrunner thing, the Russian maps have many places like the "abandoned warehouse" and "quarry" that were obviously abandoned Soviet prison sites. There are mines near the place with the nuclear stuff and the eyes, so people think it was probably an old Soviet nuclear material mining camp, which may just make the whole thing even darker
Kinda crazy but old gulags/prison sites are one of the things you will stumble across on the immense off road logging roads in Russia, as creepy as that is.
The first Rayman Raving Rabbids at least kept the Rabbids as threatening. Spinoff after spinoff though they were turned into annoying Minion ripoffs with nothing to do with Rayman. Sucks too, since the concept of them being threatening/evil was meant to be used for a Rayman 4, before it was turned into a party game by higher up because "That's more fitting for the Wii."

I’ve never played RDR2, it has a day and night cycle but does it keep track of in game days, weeks, and months? Has anyone tried stuff at the ritual site on a specific day? Maybe Halloween. Friday the 13th. I’d recommend trying it on those dates in game or in reality and having the in game time be midnight. Or 3 am.
It does keep track of such things but somewhat loosely. It uses a very odd system and if memory serves even after beating the game I never really saw the seasons change at all. Rather you have more of a skyrim set up where different regions tend to showcase different seasons. But months and days do pass. The thing I investigated was the fact that in the swamps around Saint Dennis there were pagan symbols 3 to be exact. They were identical to the ones used at the ritual site. Real world investigation didn't help much either as the symbols weren't actually meant for rituals. Also I'm not hanging out in that swamp at night so that may impede my work greatly.
The Rabbids bloody textures look similar to the ones found in Portal. I'm not 100% sure if they're the same since most bloody textures are super generic but it's something to look into
For the cut Japanese song, I honestly thought it was supposed to mimic gunshots at first. And then with all of the characters running out of the building…
Doesn't the "people" actually represent the 100 yokai night parade? A traditional and common japanese element, representing the yokai running in the night.
That image of spongebob was likely put into the files as a joke, it's actually just some creepy fanart and it's one of the first results when searching "scary spongebob image" I did a reverse image search and the image is so common and on so many sites that tracking down it's origin would be much more work than it's worth.
I've got no way to back up this claim but I like to trot it out as a 'spooky thing that happened in a video game' story whenever I get the opportunity because it is a fond memory. Me and my brother played a lot of Knights of the Old Republic on the original xbox, like a lot. I'd finish a playthrough and just immediately start a new one. I was hooked. So after a while you start finding ways to do things more quickly or exploit little things in the game just like any other game and at first there were no noticable issues. After a while though strange things started to happen, just small glitches and odd occurences, background characters appearing in places they shouldn't or visual glitches with enemies, you know just little stuff that often isn't noteworthy. As time went on they became more frequent though and we began to discuss it a little more, wondering about corruption of data and such but since there was nothing gamebreaking going on we just kept playing. Then it happened. See there's a point in the game where Dantooine is bombarded by the sith and becomes inaccessible, you're simply supposed to carry on to the next planet on your list to obtain the star map. Now for some reason that we never figured out, we could still fly to Dantooine before heading to that last planet and this is where it gets a bit spooky. So I tentatively exit the Ebon Hawk onto the planet and I'm surprised to see npc's wandering around like nothing had happened, I tried to talk to them but I couldn't interact with any of them, they just continued to walk their set routes and do their thing, then I noticed that everything else had been destroyed as it should have been. The planet was, as it was supposed to be, in ruins, yet these npc's still walked their set paths like ghosts who hadn't realised they were supposed to pass on. Now I'm older it doesn't seem as freaky but as a kid? I was spooked, I think I even stopped playing for a while. Well if you read all that I'm guessing you're procrastinating like I am, writing all that out killed a nice little slice of time, so I hope reading it did the same for you :)
I had a weird bug in the later portions of the game where the Wookie character would just keep getting cloned on the Ebon Hawk. A new one seemed to appear any time I traveled between planets. Was weird being in a room with like 8 of him.
The Taiko track sounds almost like a theme park recording before, during, and after a roller coaster ride, up until the audio reverses and actually starts to go for creepy. Even the actual music feels like it's being blasted from an outdoor or indoor speaker rather than from a straight recording.
The symbol on the ground in Red Dead Redemption 2 looks like a Veve, a symbol used to channel entities from the Haitian Voodoo religion, if I'm not mistaken. I'll make a little research about this symbol's design, but I think this one is Baron Samedi's Veve. Edit: I'm wrong, it's not Baron Samedi's Veve. I haven't found a corresponding symbol yet. It might be a custom symbol made to look like a Veve. Seems like it's design was based on Papa Legba's Veve. I'm still researching.
Oh, please not Baron Samedi. I still have the occasional nightmare about the Temple level in Goldeneye for the N64 since Samedi was definitely one creepy dude who wouldn’t stay down even after you used the Golden Gun on him at the end of the level. 😬

Could be, though more vague. The Dogman is literally a man with a dog's head (I'm from MI and wrote a paper on it for a college class), but that doesn't mean a game can't take liberties with the idea with assets that are easier to create or obtain.
I have a suggestion, but i forgot the name and what game it was. Basically if you glitched out of the game using a grenade and got Out-Of-Bounds, you would be able to walk around the main city but with nothing there, sometimes a zombie shows up and it's rumored that a flashing cyan monster shows up and crashes your game. Oh and sometimes it bricks your save file. I forgot what it was called or what game it was, but if any of those words ring a bell, tell me.
It's nuts to me that not only have I never seen the "Most awkward discoveries 2" video, but actively searching for it on UA-cam was getting me nothing I had to search up Super Sponge on an "oddheader wiki" and I can't even with UA-cam's bullshit.

Yeah about the snowrunner one, it's clear that location is some kind of labor camp as evidenced by the giant barbed wire fences. Another creepy thing about it is there's a hidden cemetery way off any roads that has dozens of wooden crosses. The kicker is the crosses don't have names, but numbers
When Taiko no Tatsujin came up I was like, "What the fuck? What could possibly be creepy inside of a cute drum game?" And then I nearly proceeded to shit my pants.
One thing i found bizarre in snow runner was that there's a road that runs through whats now a flooded swamp. In that swamp is a house you pass by with all the lights on although you couldn't imagine anybody possibly living there as its in such a dilapidated state in a swamp.
The body with the apocalyptic newspaper reminds me of the Tamam Shud case. Is there an interesting unsolved mysteries in a corresponding real-world location?
Although I can't fully remember the whole story there is a Cryptid here in Michigan about a wolf man which could explain the strange creature in snow runner or at least why it appears in the Michigan map. I'm not sure why it appears in the Alaska map though.
Michigan Dog Man, isn’t it? I’m sure I’ve heard the tales through a special narration MrCreepypasta performed regarding the legend, in case that’s the creature you’re thinking of.
>>11:38 >this chainsaw-like sound begins playing in the background *Proceeds to play UVB-76* -Boom, mystery solved. You can't hide this shit from someone who's -*-way-*- too into shortwave radios- Edit: Nevermind, he actually mentioned it.
I'd actually prefer a definitive answer to the "Russian Cosmonaut Burning Up on Re-Entry" urban legend to the UVB 76 one . Like, it's been *essentially* confirmed as a hoax, but not definitively...
multiple Russians including me confirmed that the "burning up cosmonaut" doesn't sound anything like Russian whatsoever, even with the most outlandish reaches no Russian words could be made out. The freq that the supposed message was recorded on wasn't occupied by roskosmos / USSR mission control / cap-com in the time. The "secret launch" theory can be immediately discarded since there were only 2 launch sites that would enable a Soyuz to enter orbit, both of those sites being a popular place for tourists to gawk at. USSR is known for not caring about weather but taking the capsules supply amount, time to reach orbit and deorbit, a Soyuz could not have feasibly blasted off during 30km/h wind. While the double-rotor chopper that was developed and had the lifting capacity to lift Soyuz parts to the middle of nowhere, it didn't leave the drawing board. On top of that there's actually nothing USSR needed out of a crewed flight at that time, especially while being secret or requiring orbit.
The map of The Crew 2 was recycled from The Crew 1, so my guess is that somebody made a weird easter egg in the 1st game, using a prop of newspapers talking about the end of the world. They re-used the area for TC2, removed the body but forgot to remove the newspapers. And about the cupcake thing, that must be the same newspaper prop you can find everywhere in the open world. They probably modified the texture because world ending was too creepy or something.
The symbol on the ground in RDR2 isn't a Pentagram but a Vodoo Symbol or Sigil of sorts maybe that information may be useful other than that I have no idea what that does
Games like Snowrunner and Spintires are honestly the PERFECT games to hide creepy folklore in. You are always alone, far away from any civilization and are only able to move slowly Also, the cupcake outrage and body being gone in The Crew 2 immediately made me think "They turned the guy into cupcakes".

Third idea is that maybe the game was originally something else entirely, and evolved into a Rabbids game later on, after that texture was developed.
literally what i was thinking
most likely explaination! though in rabbids go home you *do* murder a bunch of people. or at least maim them. and they 100% kill a bunch of animals. so honestly if they did kill everyone on that spaceship i cant say id be surprised
Killer freaks from outer space
Yeah probably just a stock texture that had both the signs and the blood on it and they just didnt bother to remove the unused blood part of the texture
probable answer was that it was either made as a joke or just to blow off steam. probably the joke one

Good show my dear fellow
Oh, you’re bri’ish? how splendid, init?
Why?
On the Rabbids one, sometimes games use texture libraries that contain various different textures packed into one image file and they can use only the parts they need, maybe they used a "mad science lab" library and it contained the bloodstains.

Oddheader being drunk again
The easter egg in the 3DS version looks to be referencing the Hyakki Yagyo folklore (a demon parade), so it's cool that they embraced the creepy.

Friday the 13th. I’d recommend trying it on those dates in game or in reality and having the in game time be midnight. Or 3 am.
That's a great idea!

For the rabbids textures, those might be attached to a package of pre made assets that the devs borrowed

@@Deadgirl97 The house was bigger, he must have done some upgrades.
The body with the apocalyptic newspaper reminds me of the Tamam Shud case. Is there an interesting unsolved mysteries in a corresponding real-world location?
The Getaway had alot of interesting things hidden within the game! Love them, wish they would make a reappearance
We all know Oddheader still thinks about Yummer at night.
@@Jolis_Parsec *callmecarson fans materialize after reading "dog man"*
9:00 it’s just the texture template they used, with some blood textures that weren’t needed
Well, that was a surprise to behold. Thanks for putting the black monday one in there :D
when oddheader uploads i literally become a western gun drawer, fastest hand in the west.
@Consuela De La Morrela 😳perhaps😳
Seeing that SpongeBob gave me a heavy wave of nostalgia because of just how often it was used for creepypasta video covers in like- 2012-2015

*Proceeds to play UVB-76*
-Boom, mystery solved. You can't hide this shit from someone who's -*-way-*- too into shortwave radios-
Edit: Nevermind, he actually mentioned it.
💀
You already know when oddheadder uploads it’s gonna be a good night 👌
The shortest holiday I know is when Oddheader uploads haha
"Forget the dead body, cupcakes are the true horror."
I mean with the amount of calories it has yeah
But… A dead body has more calories!
@@luziferius3687 True, but it’s a lot easier to eat a cupcake in one sitting
The map of The Crew 2 was recycled from The Crew 1, so my guess is that somebody made a weird easter egg in the 1st game, using a prop of newspapers talking about the end of the world. They re-used the area for TC2, removed the body but forgot to remove the newspapers.
And about the cupcake thing, that must be the same newspaper prop you can find everywhere in the open world. They probably modified the texture because world ending was too creepy or something.
Something about seeing a new vid is comforting. Absolutely love the channel
I just love how oddheader throws all his gaming stuff away
I love waking up to see a new oddheader video. Great as always!
I love that Oddheader gave Spongebob a electric device that will electrocute Spongebob on water
The symbol on the ground in RDR2 isn't a Pentagram but a Vodoo Symbol or Sigil of sorts maybe that information may be useful other than that I have no idea what that does
oddheader, please never change the way you make your videos. they’re amazing
Games like Snowrunner and Spintires are honestly the PERFECT games to hide creepy folklore in. You are always alone, far away from any civilization and are only able to move slowly
Also, the cupcake outrage and body being gone in The Crew 2 immediately made me think "They turned the guy into cupcakes".
