This episode was very helpful to me as a former abuse victm who now calls herself a survivor and overcomer. Words cannot express the gratitude i feel for the affirmation i have received, from the people in your podcasts, that i am loved by God and that people care.
I have a question I hope someone can answer. Our church just recently joined the CREC and right from the start I begin to see many things that made me uncomfortable! The red flags went up right away. When their reps came to do a seminar for our local group of pastors to encourage us to join I went to my pastor afterwards and asked him, What do they have to offer us. It seems to me we have more to offer them then they can offer to us! After abiout 3 years our church has now officially joined CREC. What would you recommend! I love my pastor, my church and all the other churches involved. I have tried to share with them what I know but most are unwilling to listen! I'm very concerned! Thanks!
The Pastor system is inherently abusive because it violates Jesus' teaching in Matthew 23:8-12, where He condemns the elevation of any one person as a spiritual authority over others. By placing one individual at the center of the church’s leadership, the Pastor system creates a hierarchy that undermines the biblical concept of the priesthood of all believers. Jesus called for humility, mutual submission, and a community where all members contribute equally, not a system where one person is exalted above others. This concentration of power often leads to manipulation, control, and the suppression of the gifts and contributions of the wider body of Christ.
I personally could never be part of CREC. I just have too many differences (Federal vision, theonomy, CN, paedocommunion, patriarchy, etc.). That being said I’m sure that there are many lovely Christians in some CREC churches. Ultimately it’s your (and your wife? I don’t want to make assumptions) decision. Are these things in your church? Does your church have issues with abuse? What are your other church options? These can be tough decisions. Blessings brother
You do your best to sound the alarm & speak the truth in love. If they will not listen & instead will follow Doug's heresies, sadly you may have to just shake the dust off your feet & walk off while maintaining an open door for others in the hope of a continued relationship. But don't sacrifice truth.
Leave, there are other good churches without the drama and system of abuse. If the church as a whole is embracing CREC there is nothing you can do about it. You could try sending your pastor this podcast but don’t be surprised if it’s ignored. Sorry you are dealing with this. God Bless
The Sons of Patriarchy are offering you adulterated food to eat. They are the same as Nadab and Abihu offering adulterated incense. While these podcasts sound good, please note that they are speculation and not completely truthful. Here, a guest made severe comments about NSA and the community but didn't name names, the exact dates or other specific information. Where are the documents to back up anything that the Sons broadcast. Missing in action. That is because for more than 25 years, those who hate God have tried to show unorthodox teaching or behavior and have failed each time. If the whole story is presented the narrative is completely different and does not show the darkness that is presented here. If the truth is spoken plainly all that is left is that those who are posting disagree with what went on, but can't find anything unbiblical. Go to worship with your church members and be joyful before the Lord. Search the scriptures instead of adulterated stories presented here and elsewhere online. Work out your difficulties with your pastor and elders. This will take time, but don't be dismayed. Ask what the Bible says about anonymous reports. Go worship at your church with joy and keep praying. "Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Any position in power can more easily lead to abuse. I do wonder however how you deal with the pastors in the Bible. Claiming that the office is inherently problematic is unbiblical.

You all are front of our minds, and why we exist!
It makes me so happy to see Lucy Jones praised here. She helped my husband and I when we were in a tough spot as well, as did her brother’s family.
Keep up the good work. Prayers for all of your guests.
Just as a heads up, I don't see the police report or other attachments in the show notes. I appreciate the show & what you all are doing here.
I suspect you have to subscribe to the podcast in a podcast app for that but yeah
Apple podcast is where the show notes are
Police report is coming through a secure platform.

So is Jim Nance still just living a normal life in Moscow? Did anything ever happen to him (besides getting fired from the school)?
As far as we can tell, yes.
We may have more information on that soon.
Did this get double uploaded? I was in the middle of listening earlier and it became unavailable, then I found this one and it’s slightly different.
Accidentally, yes. The one you're commenting on is the official upload.
@ Thank you for replying! You guys are doing a great job.
@@SonsofPatriarchy did you see that Trump’s nominee for SecDef goes to a Wilson affiliated church?
@@paulacoyle5685, yes. We may have information incoming.

It’s Hebrew for dove.

@@freedrme can you explain why you think it's unbiblical though since you're making that claim?
