If God is drawing you to your home up north, then you need to trust in him and go home. If you know and trust the buyers and your financial status can handle it, I would consider a land contract. If that isn't possible, get it back on the market ASAP and hire someone to take care of the needed upkeep.

Hi Lea, what a difficult situation to be in ! I've been in this sort of pickle many times in my life and even after much prayer, often we didn't get a clear answer and just had to make a choice. Who will ever know if the choices we make were the right ones? As Christians I trust God will bless us no matter what, especially when we are striving to be in His will. Maybe put a time frame on it and pray into that eg. 6 more weeks. If it hasn't sold, or there is no contract looming. I would think about going home for a while or getting a break away. Sometimes when we are in the thick of it it's hard to get clarity. A break away, even maybe just a weekend away somewhere may clear the air and help you to see things differently. I think you stay in the home you own and pray God will lead you to do what is best for Ron. He has worked so hard and is such a hard worker and is not getting any younger The boys will make their own way in life I think they have been a priority in both of your lives but at this junction I think what is best for your husband is the first consideration.None of my business but I was always puzzled why it wasn’t sold before you moved away as the older boys didn’t want to stay there. Anyway seeking out and praying over the verses of how a wife supports her husband would be my suggestion . I hope this does not sound harsh but husbands don’t last forever and you have been blessed with a godly hardworking one who puts his family needs first now I think you should all be putting his needs first.❤ nana in Australia😊

There is wisdom in many counselors. Make another video about the property for sale. A buyer might see your video or someone could share the video with a potential buyer.

I know those scriptures have more to them and they are in a different context, but be still and rest in the Lord definitely comes to mind in your situation. As someone who has been in Limbo and wishing to move for years I’d suggest going home wherever that is. some things to consider is Ron able to find adequate employment in this area? Have you considered turning that property into a rental either long-term or an air b&B? Perhaps a land contract? I would imagine a significant number of people sell their property long distance. Have you spoken with the realtor about the best way to go about that perhaps they have people through their agency who can mow the lawn or shovel the snow heaven for bid it takes that long? Praying everything works out, and then a speedy fashion

As one who has kiddos who has moved to a different state I would definitely say first off do not live at the house being sold… Having it show ready for walkins at any given moment is always a stress when you are living there. If your sister has been so gracious to offer you to stay there, I would definitely take her up on it if you decide to stay there. I like the idea that someone stated hiring, a maintenance yard crew, etc. and maybe having your sister check on the place every so often or the real estate agent so you can move back “home“ and be with the older boys. The other option is to completely pull it off the market and turn it into an Airbnb now I only say that if you are in a location where there is something available as far as recreation, etc. and it would be marketable for that. If you chose to rent it, I would definitely have a good rental agency as it would be a good ongoing income. However, there are drawbacks to having renters. I think that since you are asking you and Ron should definitely pray about what is best for you at the moment regarding where the youngest boys feel most at home and if it would benefit them more to move back or to stay at your sisters as an example. I feel terrible for you all. I think what I would do would be go home! I would thank my sister, hire someone local to cut the grass and have your sister swing by to be sure it isn't being broken in to from time to time. I would lower the price a bit and let her go. I would surely GO HOME! A year is a LONG time to be in limbo, you and the kids need to just go back. Grass cutting season is almost over so depending on what state you are in, you may need to hire someone to plow the driveway for the season coming. That's it. Praying for your family!

I would of seen how much I would of had to come down on the price to sell to the family that had a contract on it. Or, can your boys come down and stay and you all go back home. I have a feeling this is going to have a major affect on your young boys. And Ron, can only do 6 hours of sleep for so long before its going to effect him. If it was me, I would take less on the house, and I would go home and not look back.
If it were me, I would stay in the house you want to sell and buy/bring over what you need. I would set the times that people could come view the house around your husband's schedule. If people really want the house they will work around your schedule. If God doesn't want you to do that He would probably make it known. But that's my guess and that's just what I would do. I would probably rent it to someone for awhile (a year, 2 years, etc) & that way it’s generating an extra income. You can look at a GOOD/good reviews, etc management company to take over all the detail day to day type of thing & then they just send you or post a check to you once everything clears for the month (no hot water issues, etc). We had a rental house for a long time & when I finally was ready to let it go (it had been my grandparent’s house since it had been built back in the 50’s), we were able to do a cash sale & it NEVER even went on the market. We sold our main house a few months later (wasn’t planning on it being that quick but we had already bought our NOW house but was waiting on our oldest son to graduate high school before moving … funny how God works like that…. Seems like it’s taking forever but once He’s on the move, everything moves lickity split!) & our house in Yukon never even got on the market either. So selling both we were able to pay for THIS house free & clear (wanted to be closer to hubby’s parents, especially as at the time we had a new baby & wanted to be able to be close to brother & sister in law to help with getting their kids to their respective places ~ dance & what not) since about a month or so after we moved in. But that’s what we would do.

Disappointing that it fell through. I've never own a home so don't really have any advice... I think sometimes like you said sometimes no sign is a challenge. Not the same at all hut with our cat before we got her every sale fell through we for some reason couldn't get a cat and it was getting ridiculous... then we gave up and as soon as we did our neighbour bumped into us with one of her cats she was going to take away as two was too much and she asked of wanted her and now she's cuddled up on my bed hehe it might be for a reason it's not happening yet x
Maybe the house isn’t meant to sell and you should hold onto it. We aren’t meant to see our future and things can change in a heartbeat. The world is a mess with a very uncertain future. The weather is/has become uncertain lately with massive fires, drought,and flooding becoming more and more frequent.I truly believe God has this and follow your inner whispers from him. Maybe divide your time between both places and see where it takes you. I don’t know if this suggestions helps any I just put what I felt needed to say. 🤷🏻♀️
For some reason your house is not selling. Maybe there is a reason you need to be there for this season. When it sells, then it is time to move back home. I feel you need to close this chapter before you move back home. Your older boys have the up north home until it’s sold. That’s a huge blessing that many don’t have that. Your sister is letting you stay there until it’s sold. That also is a huge blessing. Maybe God wants Ron working at that job for now. That’s the only way he would be there if the house isn’t selling. Patience is not my virtue and I do know God gives me situations that require patience to teach me.
My thoughts are: could it be possible that God would want you to rent it out and not sell it at this time? I know in our rural area nice family homes (for renting) are very hard to come by. We have good friends who cannot afford to buy at this time, but have 4 children and would love to have a nice rental that is an actual home and not apartment. In addition to that, if He is putting up a road block to it selling, it may be that He knows something in the future that may make you thankful you still have the home. That’s a thought that crossed my mind during your video. I do think it will sell this summer if you’d keep it listed as it’s the hottest time in real estate. But again, I’m wondering if God is leading you a different direction for some reason or if he would want you to hold onto it for the time being for some reason. I can understand why you miss your wonderful homestead up north and of course the other half of your family. As a wife who’s had a husband who has worked challenging hours/shifts, my heart goes out to you and Ron with the schedule he is currently on. I will praying for wisdom and guidance for you all with this situation and that the Lord will clearly speak to you and lead you in the path He would have for you.
Hi there, from Canada...so you asked us to share what we would do ourselves in that position; which I have to make some assumptions as to what your position all entails...It seems like you folks are still set on selling this house and eventually returning home; but reluctant to leave it unattended(or unmaintained ) at this point and return home...?... so if all that is correct(assuming I am understanding), then I would try to find someone reliable, to maybe house sit/caretake maybe, from possibly the Christian fellowship, or someone recommended via that avenue(so that is what I would do assuming I understand your position and concerns re: a decision)...the other thing is, and here I don't know your own financial exact position; but if I did not have a mortgage myself on the place,and did not desperately need the fu ll cash amount all at once; I would consider doing an owner finance....as for lack of clear direction re: a decision in the Lord...He has perfect timing....and the best/ultimate best intentions toward us, and these things we can trust in....P.S. we ourselves are facing a similar set of decions re: our other property, selling our primary homestead, and either relocating to other property, or elsewhere, or selling other property and remaining here. -...so I will keep you folks in prayer and hope you will do the same for us.

If it were me, I would stay in the house you want to sell and buy/bring over what you need. I would set the times that people could come view the house around your husband's schedule. If people really want the house they will work around your schedule. If God doesn't want you to do that He would probably make it known. But that's my guess and that's just what I would do. Do what is best for your husband he should be your first consideration and is not getting any younger your boys will cope with your decision he is awesome husband and father God will guide him and lead him blessings from nana in australia

I would probably rent it to someone for awhile (a year, 2 years, etc) & that way it’s generating an extra income. You can look at a GOOD/good reviews, etc management company to take over all the detail day to day type of thing & then they just send you or post a check to you once everything clears for the month (no hot water issues, etc). We had a rental house for a long time & when I finally was ready to let it go (it had been my grandparent’s house since it had been built back in the 50’s), we were able to do a cash sale & it NEVER even went on the market. We sold our main house a few months later (wasn’t planning on it being that quick but we had already bought our NOW house but was waiting on our oldest son to graduate high school before moving … funny how God works like that…. Seems like it’s taking forever but once He’s on the move, everything moves lickity split!) & our house in Yukon never even got on the market either. So selling both we were able to pay for THIS house free & clear (wanted to be closer to hubby’s parents, especially as at the time we had a new baby & wanted to be able to be close to brother & sister in law to help with getting their kids to their respective places ~ dance & what not) since about a month or so after we moved in. But that’s what we would do.

Disappointing that it fell through. I've never own a home so don't really have any advice... I think sometimes like you said sometimes no sign is a challenge. Not the same at all hut with our cat before we got her every sale fell through we for some reason couldn't get a cat and it was getting ridiculous... then we gave up and as soon as we did our neighbour bumped into us with one of her cats she was going to take away as two was too much and she asked of wanted her and now she's cuddled up on my bed hehe it might be for a reason it's not happening yet x
Maybe the house isn’t meant to sell and you should hold onto it. We aren’t meant to see our future and things can change in a heartbeat. The world is a mess with a very uncertain future. The weather is/has
become uncertain lately with massive fires, drought,and flooding becoming more and more frequent.I
truly believe God has this and follow your inner whispers from him. Maybe divide your time between both places and see where it takes you. I don’t know if this suggestions helps any I just put what I felt needed to say. 🤷🏻♀️

For some reason your house is not selling. Maybe there is a reason you need to be there for this season. When it sells, then it is time to move back home. I feel you need to close this chapter before you move back home. Your older boys have the up north home until it’s sold. That’s a huge blessing that many don’t have that. Your sister is letting you stay there until it’s sold. That also is a huge blessing. Maybe God wants Ron working at that job for now. That’s the only way he would be there if the house isn’t selling. Patience is not my virtue and I do know God gives me situations that require patience to teach me.

My thoughts are: could it be possible that God would want you to rent it out and not sell it at this time? I know in our rural area nice family homes (for renting) are very hard to come by. We have good friends who cannot afford to buy at this time, but have 4 children and would love to have a nice rental that is an actual home and not apartment.
In addition to that, if He is putting up a road block to it selling, it may be that He knows something in the future that may make you thankful you still have the home. That’s a thought that crossed my mind during your video.
I do think it will sell this summer if you’d keep it listed as it’s the hottest time in real estate. But again, I’m wondering if God is leading you a different direction for some reason or if he would want you to hold onto it for the time being for some reason.
I can understand why you miss your wonderful homestead up north and of course the other half of your family. As a wife who’s had a husband who has worked challenging hours/shifts, my heart goes out to you and Ron with the schedule he is currently on. I will praying for wisdom and guidance for you all with this situation and that the Lord will clearly speak to you and lead you in the path He would have for you.

Hi there, from Canada...so you asked us to share what we would do ourselves in that position; which I have to make some assumptions as to what your position all entails...It seems like you folks are still set on selling this house and eventually returning home; but reluctant to leave it unattended(or unmaintained ) at this point and return home...?... so if all that is correct(assuming I am understanding), then I would try to find someone reliable, to maybe house sit/caretake maybe, from possibly the Christian fellowship, or someone recommended via that avenue(so that is what I would do assuming I understand your position and concerns re: a decision)...the other thing is, and here I don't know your own financial exact position; but if I did not have a mortgage myself on the place,and did not desperately need the fu ll cash amount all at once; I would consider doing an owner finance....as for lack of clear direction re: a decision in the Lord...He has perfect timing....and the best/ultimate best intentions toward us, and these things we can trust in....P.S. we ourselves are facing a similar set of decions re: our other property, selling our primary homestead, and either relocating to other property, or elsewhere, or selling other property and remaining here. -...so I will keep you folks in prayer and hope you will do the same for us.
