"like a season finale" damn that is the best description chages I've ever heard! It totally is that! And yeah it's not the nice finale but the "kick you in the balls and shove you through the meatgrinder" kind of finale that needs EP1 of the next season for the viewer/reader to heal. If we keep the analogy howeer it feels like Ghost Story is the EP1 of Season 2 that honestly should have been an after credit scene. (yeah, I admit I really am not a fan of Ghost Story)
Changes is the best Dresden book in my opinion, you (and all other new readers) are lucky to not have to wait over a year to know the aftermath of the ending of changes. the next book that also tremble the dresdenverse is battlegrounds, so have fun!

I feel so lucky to not have to endure that! All I had to wait was the few days before Ghost Story freed up at the library hahah
