Hey everyone! Here's my reaction to episode 22 of Vinland Saga! Wow, just when I thought we knew Askeladd....we REALLY get to know Askeladd!!! Dang, what is it with this show and having no real good/bad guys?!?! I see so many similarities between him and Thorfinn, but the biggest difference is the way they've handled their revenge missions and the differences in how they see the world. Thorfinn has tunnel vision on revenge and is clouded by his rage. Askeladd sacrificed all that emotion and did what he had to do to get his revenge, basically becoming someone else in the process. What does this mean for Thorfinn?! Will he start down a new path after this? Will he "learn" anything as Askeladd suggested?? Can't wait to find out! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

There are no heroes in this show. Even Thors was a cold blooded killer before he became a good guy.
Askeladd is the main character of season 1. Thorfinn is the main character in season 2. His growth, character development. You're going to love S2. It has less action & is more focused on the characters.

Askeladd is the kind of guy who fights fire with fire. His true self is still the 11 year old boy, a good guy, you'll see in the finale. But the world was cruel & he became so himself. Man hates warriors. Truly born in the wrong era.
