If someboody asked me about my favorite J.S song i think youknow the answer......already did an ode to this song on my insta a while back.......its just magic.......finding live xt settings was the reasons ifound your channel...never been more happy to find a youtube channel ..full of amazing lessons from an amazing musician and allround likable guy........
As always I thank you Jason!! Killer video and awesome lesson!! I just got your book but have yet to open it because I have not been able to put my guitar down. I am on furlough this week and done nothing but practice practice practice 🤘😁🤘. I have to say quick when i started 3 years ago i had no feeling in my finger tips from my previous job (6 winters with no heat working on frozen steel) I could not button a button on my shirt let alone hold a guitar pick. Also at that job I tore the long head tendon holding up bicep in left arm. The guitar teacher I had for 1st year I ditched since he just wanted to play for me and i was learning more online and in books on my own. At almost 51 now, finding you has been best thing for me and the way you show and explain things I am actually rockin now!!! You are the man bro!!! I was off to a slow start but every day I notice a huge difference in my playing! You (and my new ESP) have been a real game changer!! Many many thanks my friend!! I will leave with an apology for misspelling MASTERPEACE in past chats because stupid auto correct. Dam smartphone make me look like ass lol.. Thank you again for everything!! You're hard work and dedication are greatly appreciated!! Cool tone talk too!! Stay safe and stay well!! 🤘😁🤘
Dude, thank you for the kind words and it's inspiring to hear your story and how you're progressing! I know you're loving that ESP! And yeah, auto-correct does screw us sometimes! lol
I used to run a DOD G 7 rack mount through an Alesis gate/limiter/microverb into a Marshall Valvestate... I miss those pieces but I have a more pleasing sound now. Orange CR120 clean channel with too many Boss pedals to name 😁 I hope the future shredders realize what a resource they have in guys like you... we didn't have youtube to learn guitar from as beginners. You are a good man, Charlie Brown!
Been a fan of yours for a loooooooong time, so it’s Fanntastic to see how quickly your channel has been growing lately, very well deserved. Just want to say too that The Healing is a phenomenal tune. Maybe a video about that one?
Hi Jason, Great lesson, as you know I did a Bass cover of "Out There" on my Instagram channel which was really a basic cover (no puns intended) of the song, but after watching your Lesson/playthrough I might try it again, anyway I'm close to getting my studio functional, I bought some AVE studio monitors, they sound good, and I'm organizing my Bass rig so I can start making some noise..!! 🎸🍻
Best teacher on ithe whole nternet, im actually learning to play riffs that sounds great. A quick question, passive or active pickups, what do you prefer?
Thank you! The guitar I'm playing in this video has active (EMG 81s) but I also like passive pickups as well because they have a distinct tone that you don't get with actives. Of course, more metal, most prefer actives.
Alright darn it! Just try a down tune to D Standard and jam for a few. I think you are wasting your talents by not exploring alternate tuning. Why not paint with different colors?
I hear you, dude, but for me it's a matter of not wanting to deal with the different tunings. I also record for other bands and artists, which are typically in standard tuning. And if someone is downtuned, I just break out my 7 string...problem solved. And honestly, I just like standard tuning!
You’re making metal accessible to newbies and it’s fun in the process
Dude, thank you for that and really glad to see my videos are helping!
@@jasonstallworth you’re the only one doing what you’re doing too. 100k subs by the end of the year 👍🏻
@@thenovicenoisemaker That's the goal for this channel dude!! 100k by the end of the year!
I just learn lots of technic from you. Thank you. I’m just start playing guitar 2months just because of you
So awesome to hear that!

Dude, I appreciate you more than you know! And I remembered that you mentioned this song in the last live UA-cam session!!
Getting a strong Queensryche vibe!!
I hear “Round and Round” in that opening riff
There's something magical about the older Queensryche! Those first few albums were just in a league of their own!
@@ArticLight14 Oh yeah, there is a taste of that!!
@@jasonstallworth especially Operation: Mindcrime and Empire!!
I know what I’m doing after work today learning this . Love this track one of my favorites off that album
Thank you, Ron, yeah it's a really cool riff to play!

The clean/dirty interlude section is really cool 😎Congrats on 20k!
Thank you, brother! The HD500 had this really cool effect for that part and I've yet to replicate that exactly with anything else!
These are my favorite videos. Keep these lessons coming bro!!!
Absolutely, and it's encouraging to know these videos help!
Hell yeah 😎🤘 you made my day Jason, keep it up 🔥
Great to hear that, dude!
That sounds like "Round and Round" by Ratt - I loves my hair metal. Can't wait to learn this riff!!!
Yeah I've always been a big hair metal fan!

Dude, I appreciate you! And yes, I do want to give a lesson on that song soon!
🤘👺 An awesome amount of songs and freestyling potential this lesson. I kept wanting to yell out "Mother!" a few times there.
Lol...yes! And yeah, dude, you can switch things around on little on these types of riffs and make it your own!
Absolutely awesome 💙💙❤❤💯

I now you're enjoying the new studio space! Definitely let me know when your new version of the cover it out there!
Nice to see the enjoyment you derive from this, says it all!!!
Btw thoroughly enjoying the album on spotify, spot on, keeping it metal for sure!!!
THank you so much for the support on my album!!
I really enjoy your content, nice riffs and I find them fun to play on my schecter. Keep it up!
Thank you dude!
Killer song,,great job 🤘
Yeah this one is really cool to play and you can come up with more riffs from it!!
Cool song and lesson.
🤘
Thanks for the lesson Jason. You make it understandable for a 50yr old metal beginner. What size strings do you recommend for metal? Thanks again. 🤘🤘
Awesome to hear that, Mike! I use lights, which is 10-42. I used to use super lights (starting at 9) but the 10s just feel a little better to me.
Your channel is a gold mine man. Can you do a video on writing progressive metal/progressive metalcore riffs? That would be sick \m/
Thank you. I will definitely be making some stuff on progressive metal but I don't really play metalcore man
@@jasonstallworth Awesome, thanks!
I just got my first guitar this week. Schecter reaper 6. 38 is not to late. Be nice when I get practiced up.
No dude, you're still very young and you'll be surprised how fast you catch on because at this age you're more focused.
Jason Stallworth yeah just need my fingers to wake up sometimes lol
Love it 🤘🏻🤘🏻
