- Definitions of HOT are several and beauty is in the ear of the beholder, as we know. This tune shaped my mind at the age of ~10, not because of the "sophisticated" melody but rather the use of the (Slow-Fast) Leslie Cabinet and the volume pedal of the Hammond Organ.
This is my approach to gather other highlights (extended stuff from faster BPM versions), drums, guitar styles etc. and match it to the "original" tempo.
Gear:
CME - Xkey Air 25/37
Hammond B-3X - IK Multimedia
Leslie - IK Multimedia
Ample Guitar TC - Ample Sound
Ample Bass P - Ample Sound
EZdrummer 2 - Toontrack
DAW: Cakewalk by Bandlab - Розваги
I had graduated high school just a couple years before this came out and I LOVED IT... and I still do today. This song encouraged me to learn to play the organ myself...
Thanks for sharing! I was exposed to such kind of music when I was around 10 Years old. It had the impact on me (unconsciously) appreciating the Leslie speed changes etc. - seems weird, as it's a rather simple tune.
I finally found your version! I love it! Great minds think alike!! LOL
Haha, Thanks! Yeah, that's what I thought when I came across your piece :-)
Fantastic !!! 👏👏
Thanks for listening!
What is this, its beautiful and the sound is so rich, deep, authentic.
Thank you...i don't know what to look at first, its all so fascinating.
Thanks for your kind comment. I'm sorry, it's visually crowded indeed (I've got not much sense/skill with video stuff). Next approach: close your eyes? :D Cheers!
Its about time for the Bootleg. Great tune. X.
Thanks for listening. "Bootleg" may not be the correct term, as it's a "cover" version and all instruments were played by myself. But I agree, great tune.
Love it you take on tricky pieces and get great results - love a bit of Booker - have you done anything by the Meters ?
Thanks! "The meters", not yet but I'll do so soon :-)
Is there any chance of sending me a video from minute 3:30 the live version part as tutorial? I would pay for it
Hi! I'm not sure what you do mean by "tutorial". Which are the details you are looking for? Maybe I can prepare something if I know more details.
@@mimojapan if it would be possible to have a video from the left and right hand in slow to see each cord ... you did a great job in identifying the cords for the live version 👏
@@dietmargoppert1583 I've addressed your request as much as possible: ua-cam.com/video/ay-rKbUGXgY/v-deo.html
@@mimojapan thank you so much for that ❤️ can you give me your PayPal address
@@dietmargoppert1583 It's OK, merry Christmas!
Tyros 5 for years and can only manage the first few notes🙁. But good to listen to you.
Nice, the Tyros 5 should be pretty able to produce similar sounds. Good luck with it!
@@mimojapan Hi. Yes the Tyros if fine it’s my fingers/ brain that are lacking. Guess it’s true you can’t teach an old dog new tricks 🤔
