Reina's reunion with her mother is the most heart wretching yet warming experience in anime for me. It's maybe the 12th time I watch this scene since 2014 and still manage to cry even more then the 135 Meruem/Komugi one. There's something deep on a visceral level that brings out the mother's love for a child and the Reina's feeling of finally being safe.
The villagers being nice is the most NGL local behavior. They accept nature’s course and all. Even with all the craziness that happened, NGL locals held their ideals
Ive always interpreted Knov's statement as in "We will do whatever it takes to heal Gon. Bring every doctor and every medical tool here. We will rebuild this entire hospital to be perfect for his needs and to provide the doctors with all the possible things they could use for this purpose."
Me too. I don't get the confusion. The conversation with the doctor previously already established that the ICU can barely keep Gon alive, so it's natural for Knov to declare he wanna rebuilt the hospital. I don't think not the whole hospital but expand the ICU area.
I always felt like the rebuild the hospital line was dedicated to the fact that nen exorcism always has a consequence. Dispelling the nen curse that Gon put on himself will require an incredible amount of effort and could be very dangerous. Remember the exorcist that the Troup got in Greed Island? What kind of monster could be made out of Gon's current state?
I love that they gave that family a sort of happy ending (they probably don't know about Colt and Colt only has flashes of his former life apparently, although maybe that will change with time), but the arc started horribly tragic and a lot of tragedy stuck but I liked that this one didn't.
25:00 actually it's a good parallel bc Kurapika also wanted to do everything on his own and rejected their help at first and Killua was mad and said "if you don't consider us friends or anything we'll do whatever we want to help!" he wasn't that close to Kurapika so his attitude didn't upset him as much as when Gon acted the same but still it says a lot about his character and was a good foreshadowing to the Gon situation
@@DisProfundis yes well... he is older with a different personality too (kid Kurapika wasn't that mature obviously) and he had years to process his grief and anger, afraid that he would forget those feelings... but he came to the conclusion that his friends mattered the most... still got them kidnapped and that's probably the reason why Killua accepted to let Gon and Pitou go alone so he won't be taken as an hostage ...again The situations are similar but also very different
I think the reason why Killua feels bad is not bc Gon wasn't really his friend (I don't think their friendship was 'bad', friends can be harsh or unfair with eo and sometimes they have to talk to adjust the relationship so they could be happy within it) but bc Gon basically committing suicide and all that led to that end feels egoistical (and somehow is) like he's not needed, like Gon abandoned him when he wanted to be there for him... I believe if you have a friend who killed themselves (I have) it's one of the thoughts you'll have but actually you'll know eventually that it's not true, that that person was just in too much pain and suffering and made that 'selfish' decision bc they didn't see another way out, it has nothing to do with your value as a friend, even if you do your best sometimes it's not enough and it's too late At least Gon is not dead yet so Killua has the possibility to save him and scold him real good and ask the question he couldn't ask when Gon said "let's go!" ..."do you really see me as your friend?" It's very sad that he faced that doubt (it's the worst feeling ever) but he's very mature to make that decision to move on so he can do smth for Gon We all know Gon loves Killua so it will be ok ^^
It may seem weird, but the reina uniting with her mother is the scene which makes me tear up the most. More than any other scene in this series. Just wanted to share it.
We have Gon and Killua and their episode (crying mess) and then we have the king and Komugi and I was crying mess, now we have this episode and I was a crying mess. The crying mess will not end here.
You guys are very hard on Gon! I get that he crossed the line regarding Killua. But never on your argument you have tried to reflect on Gon point of view. He is in the denial, gradually losing his humanity to prepare for a battle to save an already gone father/big brother figure, when facing the culprit,he has tunneled vision, and when finally faced to harsh reality, he plunged into despair, giving his all to a meaningless (but somehow in accord with the mission) revenge. The way he treated Killua is just the expression of pain and guilt he find difficult to bear as time goes. He is not flawless, but Killua is neither and that what makes their friendship down to earth.
Does that even need to be the case, didn't they feed kites brain to the queen, the entire arc was about people being reborn as ants so i don't see why it needs some further explination.
@@ItsMe-bt4tm there’s no proof either way but it doesn’t make any sense for them not feeding her his brain. Nen users are special, and kite would have been the strongest one they killed at that point. Not feeding his brain to the Queen makes little to no sense when the ants basically live to serve the future king that was still growing.
Breath of the Archangel is a very powerful item but I'm not sure it can heal Gon here. Gon isn't suffering from horrible injuries, he's suffering from a nen contract and we're pretty sure BotA cannot erase nen contracts (because no one even mentioned it as a possibility for "healing" Chrollo while they were looking for the nen eraser. They've had to have info about the game and the card if only by torturing other players).
The reason why the mom immediately recognized Reina is because there's a saying in Japan and other cultures that a mother always recognizes her children no matter what. So she basically felt it instinctively before anyone even explained.
It’s nice that Kite’s back, but just imagine it from Colt’s perspective. Colt became a single parent to this ant-rat-human baby, loved her and named her, only to learn said baby girl is actually a full grown man who won’t need him around probably. I always felt a little bad for him in this instance, but hopefully he will find another purpose and live happily.
So potentially Gyro Welfin Bizeff and that ant girl will go invade Meteor City when the Troupe is on a cruise ....it won't end well ...but maybe they never come back 😑
I can't watch the episode with reina and her mother without crying. The great thing about Hunter Hunter is that the supporting characters are also very attractive.
my question is : 1) whos the best riyal guard(we all know its shaipouf XD) 2) what difference do you guys think would it have made if kite didnt die. would we still have won ..?
If Kite didn't die as in "he defeats Pitou miraculously"? This would mean that if he has the strength to continue to the Ants colony and destroy the Queen before Meruem is born thats game over. If Kite doesn't have the strenght yet (heavily injured but alive) and he makes a rendevouz with the rest of the team the same thing happens: Netero hires Zeno, launches the air strike and invasion and fucks the CA again. Remember it was game over the moment the Chimera Ants lets the enemy even close.
@@Afreshio not really, the nuke strategy wasn't absolute, they had the chance of having Meruem cooperate and follow them to the optimal location, the initial plan was to drag him by force, that's what Zeno was hire for, but i don't think they knew how strong Meuem was, there's no way they would have drag him by force, they would have had to use the nuke into the palace and sacrifice everyone for an explosion Meruem might have been able to escape. many things could had go wrong
Pito best royal guard. Pouf was great but he was serving an idolized king from his perspective , that king was not meruem. Pito have always follow the king as he were , she didn't try to force her vision of the king and follow his change

Yes, Kite mentions very early that the NGL population would probably see the CA invasion as another natural disaster and accept their fate.
