    "Straight Beast" is correct. My brother and I had us and all out camera gear and back country camping gear loaded in mine. Combined weight was pushing close to 800lbs. We were in lake water with white caps, waves over the bow and this thing was a tank getting us back to safety. In solo mode it is very manageable. I have the sail kit with mine and it is a dream to go solo in it sailing it. It is like having another person in the boat pedalling.

      Awesome! That’s some good stuff to know. You have really put your 17T to test. Thanks for the tips!

      @@BlueSummitOutdoors I'm trying to finish mine I'm thinking about getting the new torqeedo motor

      That new Torqeedo looks very powerful, I think it would do well with the PA17T

    Been looking at the pt17 for a minute, the price is an issues but the practicality is a plus compared to a traditional boat. The tandem use able's other to come along which is important, no one should fish alone.

    Nice!!! I bet the 17t solo is gonna work awesome with the trolling motor if you were like working a shoreline flipping/pitching while standing

    I picked up one for $1,700 pa17. Use it more than I use my pa12. I love the pa17

    I want to get the 17T with a Spot-Lock Trolling Motor Anchor!

  • @TomyTekOutdoors
    @TomyTekOutdoors 4 роки тому

    I look forward to seeing how that trolling motor performs. Having one with spot lock would be awesome. I'd like to put on my PA360 if I can find a good deal on one. The amount of space you have on the PA17T is crazy. It's interesting that the speeds are similar to the PA12.

    • @BlueSummitOutdoors
      @BlueSummitOutdoors  4 роки тому

      Yea spot lock would be awesome, but its really expensive. The amount of room on that thing is insane, and I really couldn't believe how well it performed speed wise. How are you like the PA360 so far? I haven't had a chance to get in one yet and try it out. Im curious how it performs in real world use, and useful the 360 drive is.

      @@BlueSummitOutdoors the PA360 is amazing. It helps a ton when I run a trotline for crabbing. I haven't used it with all of the different types of fishing I do yet. I'll do full review once I've used it a little more thoroughly.

    i got a pa 14 and 17. went out to today and got my pb while i was waiting for my bro. from the back seat. but after using it solo. i feel like i dont even need my 14. and im a pretty big guy and my balance is not that great. i got mine for 4500 with a trailer. and i thought that was a deal. your deal kills mine

  • @williewideback

    Boat wise it's a more practical purchased than a $10, $15 thousand dollar or more bass or tracker boat

    • @BlueSummitOutdoors
      @BlueSummitOutdoors  4 роки тому +1

      If you can find a good deal on a used one, the PA17T is a great alternative. Especially if you live around electric only lakes and you want to use it in the salt as well.

    • @williewideback
      @williewideback 4 роки тому +1

      @@BlueSummitOutdoors Yea the idea, electric seams to be a better fit for me this stage in my life. Had plan on getting a bass tracker, but once i started looking at Kayak fishing, i was amazed at what was out there.

    Hi sorry late comment but what kind of trolling motor do you have on there ? Which model and length is it ?

  • @worminizer1

    You kind of skipped over the trailer. I just picked up a 17T and am trying to decide what to use. I'm hauling it on a 16 foot lawn trailer for now. What type of boat was it for? Did you move the bunks to ride in the ridges of the hull? Thanks

    • @BlueSummitOutdoors
      @BlueSummitOutdoors  4 роки тому +1

      It’s a 17ft bass boat trailer I found it on Facebook marketplace for $400. I’ve got a couple other videos that go over it a little better I think. The conduit bunks are carpeted and mounted to unistrut which mounts to the trailer using u-bolts. Hope that helps

      I am tied between the 14 and 17 myself, maybe also getting a second kayak for the wife. Vibe sheerwater 125 new release is nice for her. One thing I also looked at is an expandacraft outrigger, and then place a seat on it for her. Google that name, look at some UA-cam videos, some modifications will need to be made on your kayak. That’s also another option if you do not opt for the 17t. I know I thought about even adding those outriggers to a 17t and that way I can have space for a second person and yet enough space to bring up a big fish if I land it, saltwater is more of an interest for me. The 17t will be a bit of a challenge if you are taking it out by yourself.
