I use 2" pvc as runners because they flex and conform to the kayak bottom...in other words, the kayak is better supported. 3" pvc is too rigid and you will have only a few contact points on the hull because there is not enough weight there.
Pending on your kayak I had a Hobie 14’ pro angler and the 3” was a perfect fit and did flex. It supposed it and conformed to the hull when strapped down. The Pro Angler is a heavy kayak.
hi mate ,,,,can you give me some measure ments im after the center hole spaceing for the pvc pipe bolts please for the ,,,hobie pro angler trailer setup
peter nohlmans Hi Peter, I’m sorry I no longer have the PA but how I got the measurements was I measured the bottom of the hull where there pvc pipes would go then transferred that to the trailer. Don’t forget to get 2 45’s and sand the side so it slips in easily. When launching it’ll slide down them and when putting it on the trailer it will ride up it from the water.
Love that light idea👍
Thanks
clean set up
Thank you
Tight lines
I got 8inch tires on my jon boat trailer and have pulled it 75 to 80 mph many times no problem
That’s great. I wasn’t going to take that chance.
I like the 45 degree idea. May add that to mine later ..
It really works GREAT sliding them up onto the trailer 👍

Nope.
What brand trailer is that? Thanks
Harbor Freight trailer. Watch all parts.
I'll buy 14 fit today and I don't have title watt can do
A PA 14 or a 2014? Major difference between the 2 of them. The 2015 has a Skeg 👍
Thanks. You sure won't regret it! I'm an electrician by trade so I looked at the end of those conduits and went hmmm.
