Unreal video mate as always. My number one and two minnow style hard body would be the flash minnow, in exactly the same colour you used, on shallow flats and the osp dunk with a bit of brown on it to use in tannin deeper water. I fish as slow as they work in calm conditions and find with about 10knots of wind and up to 20knots they prefer a couple of good whacks with the rod tip, and can pause up to 10 seconds, have a drink of gods nectar VB and usually on when you start again. Just what I’ve found with my fishing and spots I fish.
Sometimes the worst conditions result in the best fishing. Kudos for putting in the time and sparing us from the wind noise. Lol. That pause will be a common theme I reckon.
I’ve been using the double clutches with great success! I’ve been using them for a couple of months now and caught a few different species on them, slow rolling and the jerk and pause method have all gotten fish! Awesome info brother 🔥
The Daiwa Dr Minnow 7f in OB Iwanna colour has been my go to for a few years. I replace the trebles with singles and it becomes a super-shallow hard body that's great for landbased fishing. I use a slow roll retrieve with occasional pauses. The Big Derwent River Tassie Black Bream smash them. Shame they're now out of production
I’ve got a tray full of double clutches that I use over flats. Great lure. I’ve also been using Delusion Minnows from Jiggle Fishing, caught heaps of salmon and snook with them. They’re a good little hardbody with good trebles, nothing special but cheap (
Mate, just discovered your channel and subscribed. Loving your content. I've just bought some bait junkie soft plastics and can't wait to give them a go.
Great video, that fishin pack comea with some high quality lures. For technique especially on the black bream it pays to try quite an aggressive jerk that gets the lure really darting.
Great vid mate, I've just started using the jerkbaits myself and find the creek and micro system bream love them.... Prolure ST72 has been my favourite so far and I use exactly the same retrieve 🤙🏽
Byron, love your videos and they’re always great for all to come back to reset. Refresh my knowledge and my techniques. One thing I curious about is with your lures, is Do you tie leader directly the law or do you snap swivel or just snap If you’ve done a video, I want it before. Let me know or if not, maybe it will be a good video for you to do.
Great video. Thanks, Byron! I'm a huge fan of jerkbaits. Especially as most of my fishing tends to be for Black Bream in WA and Tasmania. Blacks seem to be suckers for a jerkbait. You're absolutely on the money when it comes to technique (from my experience, anyway). You'll be surprised how long you can actually make that pause and still get a fish to take! Most of the time, I don't really 'retrieve' the lure at all - merely give it a twitch or two and then take up the slack that's created. Experiment with the violence of the twitch, too - I've had days when fish responded to little twitches, and others when they wanted full-on rips! But that's just my experience. I'm sure other people have got other killer jerkbait methods...
I love the way they hit the lures Mike, call me weird but I think they really attack a jerk bait to kill it, vice just sucking on the lure and randomly getting caught. Have you had that experience?
tidy work as always. Cranka Minnows are great if you can find them! constant twitch on the spot for 2 seconds then slow roll for a meter when the bite is tough :)
Yup I was tired! Was fighting the weather all day! Remember to spread the knowledge of your favourite lure, colour and technique!
Great video mate!
Thanks Dean, glad you enjoyed jt

Team Catchin that’s awesome info dude!! Definitely feel that with the heavier wind you can and should go harder.

Fin Clipped 100% fun. Yeah a fair bit of me was wondering how calm the water was actually under the water surface!

Yes faster when its warmer most people have a misconception on jerkbaits can be used all year around not just for cold weather
jeez that was a huge tailor
Yup!

I like to use megabass vision 110 in the French pearl color , twitch twitch pause depending on the watet temp
Jiteen Patel how do you change it up depending on the temp? Faster when it’s warm?
tidy work as always.

Never thrown them!
@@ByronTeaHill new colours are mint
Nice video bud 👍
chon truong thanks chon!!!
Rigge 70 is a ripper, I've had more success on the sinking version, but the standout jerkbait for me is the Dou Rozante 63sp.
Luvias or Stella ?
Daiwa or shimano ?
😂😂😂
Why not do both. Hehehehe insert taco 🌮 Soft or Hard GIF! 🌮
