in december 1966 i went to the bob hope show 1st infrantry division in vietnam.we came in by chopper from phu loi.the rock and roll,the playboy bunnies,bob hopes great jokes and made you feel human.the last song to end the show was anita bryant.singing battle hymn of the republic.it was the only times in 15 months i had feeling in my heart.back to combat and lost all feelings again.numness.ptsd.pain rage.to any vets that still have it go to your vet center and live again.find joy in life

My father, Chuck Bird was Anita's conductor and arranger for ten years. Together they went to the White House on five occasions. Lyndon Johnson really loved Anita.
