Good to see this series return, I only have one point to make. Jamie would absolutely take 'Oathkeeper' when offered by Tywin. The world's greatest swordsman recently losing their bad hand wouldn't pass up the opportunity to have a sword that is lighter than steel yet, sharper and more durable. He would definitely refine his swordplay into something new; taking his missing hand and magic sword into consideration.
A subtle one that would have a huge impact that I'm pretty sure you haven't covered anything like this before. "What if Doran Martell executed Ellaria Sand in S5 E9?" Pretty sure it would have some huge impacts. Love to see you cover it
You forgot the possibility to yield in a trial by combat and in this case Jamie would just yield and tyrion lives. Tywin would have seen this coming and never named Jamie the champion.

Honestly, if Jaime cared enough to get her to not be raped, I still think he would care enough to save her from the bear pit. He wouldn't be as close with her as he was without the bath scene, but I don't think a Jaime that would save Brianne from being raped would just leave her to die. Cuz why bother at that point? He was already changing a bit from the selfish ass he was before, losing his right hand just accelerated it. That and the idea that Jaime wouldn't immediately declare for Tyrian for the trial by combat is really the only thing I disagree with (even when selfish, Tyrian was always the one thing he would never turn his back on. He loved Tyrian, I honestly doubt he wouldn't immediately declare as Tyrian's champion the second he was asked. And even if this happened and he had to fight Oberyn, he would be so conflicted. Winning would mean sentencing Tyrian to death. This hesitation would almost certainly cost him the fight). And honestly, them thrusting this on him like they did would create such a rift between them. I personally think Jaime would come to despise Tywin, and would come to see Circe for the evil bitch that she is a lot sooner. And honestly, as evil as Circe is, I'm not fully convinced she would be 100% on board with the idea.
Nice video. I always enjoy hearing your creative alternatives. This was a very interesting What If. The substitution of one hand for the other definitely makes a radical difference in outcomes. I would have to say, though, I think the King’s Landing/Dorne plot would be altered far more. First off, I think you are underestimating Brienne’s effect on Jaime. She didn’t just make him less of a jerk to others, she taught him to care about people beyond his family. I’d say it’s a little more up in the air if he would just abandon her, even if they didn’t have that conversation in the bath. But, if he did, without Brienne he definitely wouldn’t care about the fate of Westeros enough to abandon Cersei at the end of Season 7. Nor would he have taken Riverrun without bloodshed. That is, if that plot line remained intact. In this scenario, both Oberyn and the Mountain would still be alive. Oberyn would likely either still be on the small council, attempting to destroy the remaining Lannister power from within, or sent back to Dorne. Either way, Myrcella wouldn’t be in immediate danger, meaning no Jaime/Bronn rescue mission. Plus there are other wild cards, like the Sparrows. Would Jaime stand by during Cersei’s walk of shame? Would he be accused as well? Would any of this even still happen? I feel it might not be quite as straightforward as it looks at first glance. However, the idea of the Hound and Arya in Essos was really intriguing. Seeing them interact with Daenerys would be amazing. Keep up the good work!
What if Lyanna survived birthing Jon but still convinced Ned to keep him and married Robert? Perhaps they only have a daughter or two (similar situation to Elia Martell) but Robert picks her as his heir over Stannis and his children (either with Cersei, Selyse or whoever), causing a Dance of the Stags scenario?
Even if Lyanna lived, I doubt very much that she would have married Robert. She may have forgiven him for killing Rhaegar eventually, but she would never forgive him for what happened to Elia and her children, plus him wanting Viserys and Daenerys dead. Also, with how violent Jon's birth possibly was, Lyanna may not have been able to have more kids.
In the end, it's so much better for everyone that Jaime lost his right hand. Thanks for the video! Also, just had some ideas: What if Arya killed Sansa, took her face, and became the Lady of Winterfell (In Season 7, episode 6, Beyond the Wall)? What if Tyrion was killed at the Battle of the Blackwater? What if Bronn shot Daenerys dead at the Battle of the Goldroad? (and maybe Drogon dies too?) Anyway, just some interesting ones, I thought. Thanks for all these videos. I find them fascinating.
Sure. I think it'd be a good idea. Now his original plan probably can't be figured out because he constantly made moves as they went, but originally I'm sure he would've liked to start a Stark/Lannister war with him on top ideally with Catelyn.
I'm pretty sure the Bolton's were at Harrenhal when they captured Jamie, not the Dreadfort. I also think Jon would have attacked Winterfell with or without the Vale, in order to rescue Sansa. Great content, as usual. Keep up the good work!
Here are some fun what if's for you: What if the full kingsgaurd was at the trident and/or tower of joy? What if jamie claimed the throne for tywin? (he was asked this by someone after he killed the mad king)
Not sure if you've already done it, but what if Cersei gave Tommen the poison during the battle of the blackwater? Like Tywin's army arrives at the red keep 5 minutes later or something Would the Tyrell's still kill Joffrey? as there's no Tommen back up Joffrey remains on the throne? Tyrion wouldn't be tried for murder and end up going to Daenerys Tywin would be alive (or was Oberyn poisoning him?) Cersei probably doesn't end up on the throne? How would a united Lannister/Tyrell force fare against Daenerys' invasion? (Combined armies and resources) How would Euron fit into all of it? What moves could little finger make? as he was involved in Joffrey's death
I would like to mention that long swords which is the swords that Jamie has mostly used until this point in Canon can be wielded with one hand but they really shine when you have two hands in fact all swords big and long are very useful when you use two hands behind their strikes so even just losing his left hand instead of his right I think would affect his swordsmanship and he would acknowledge that which means I think he would still go on a tangent about when he killed Ares Targaryen plus it is said that he had a fever that caused it as well so I think all those things combined I think that part would not have changed
Ser TheBattProductions , love the video and how exited you were in it, but the nerd in me needs to tell you my lord, that the castle that brienne and jaime were taken by bolton men wasn't the Dreadfort in the North, it was Harrenhall in the riverlands, Robb conquered it in the first episode of season three. Wish you good fortunes in the wars to come.
One thing I don't agree with is the hound leaving arya alone and parting ways cause after he fails to sell her to lysa you remember in the scene with brienne before they fight he says hes watching over her we go he's her protector. I think they'd both go to bravos and arya would probably go to become a faceless man but the hound would remain close to watch her back, hed probably getbhikself some sort of sellsword job in bravos instead of mereen.
What would the red viper do after his big fight was canceled? Would he continue to cause havoc in King’s Landing? He’d kill Tywin and eventually the mountain obviously. But what happens after?
Just saying there would be no point of cutting the left hand because the reason why locke cut his right hand was to take away his identity and skills making him useless.
I agree with you mostly - but losing his left hand would cause him trouble still. He uses both hands on a sword and also uses 2 weapons at once sometime. Plus losing an appendage makes him a "broken thing" and people won't always overlook that.
This is from someone who read the first book: What if Cersie was not told about Sansa and Arya going back to Winterfell and they did went back by boat as they were meant to do?
What if Arya killed Joffrey at the Trident? I know you made a video about Joffrey killing Arya. But if you remember from season 1 Arya held a sword in front of Joffrey. So what if she killed Joffrey with that sword in front of Sansa?
He would have had a little trouble since one handed sword fighting with the kind of swords he used is still not as easy as you can't use as much power. I also think he mouths off to denaerys about what her father planned for king's landing, berating all the men who fought against the mad king for looking down on him for betraying a king they were rebelling against and how their supporting the Targaryens again. I think that might change some minds and some houses stop supporting the Targaryens. This would probably cause her to kill Jamie, losing Tyrion's support.
(This got WAAAY longer then I intended but Jamie having his hand massively changes the trial, which changes the entire political landscape of Westeros) I think the trial by combat would go very differently. Tywin knows Jamie would not fight against Tyrion or Tyrion's champion wholeheartedly, and so he would never set Jamie against him like that, for fear Oberyn would kill him. I think what's far more likely is Jamie and Tywin bargain. Jamie wants to stand for Tyrion, and Tywin wants Jamie as his heir. The only way Jamie can stand for Tyrion is if Tommen releases him from the Kingsguard. Tywin would talk to Tommen and likely tell Cersei nothing because she would try and influence Tommen to stop this. Tywin would then order the Mountain to stand down. The only thing Tywin cares more about than hating Tyrion is his legacy, for which he needs Jamie as his heir, so he needs Jamie to win. So Ser Meryn Trant would likely be the man to stand for Cersei, either that or another one of the shitty Kingsguard she appointed. In the books this fight could go very badly, as Cersei would likely pit Loras Tyrell against Jamie out of sheer rage at his betrayal. And it's unclear who would walk away. Loras takes his oaths seriously and might not be convinced to stand down, especially because Olenna was in on framing Tyrion. But for the show, it's probably Ser Meryn, who Jamie annihilates. Tywin would then likely give Tyrion no protection whatsoever, knowing Cersei will try and assassinate him. He will make it clear that if Tyrion runs from Kings Landing, then that is reasonable grounds for suspicion, and he will have a new trial, with the aim of preventing Tyrion from leaving the city so Cersei kills him. However, with Oberyn still alive, he, Jamie and Varys would likely help Tyrion escape (in the books Oberyn offers to take Tyrion to Sunspear if he wins, with the implication they will crown Myrcella and go to war with the Lannisters, with Oberyn knowing alliance with Danaerys is a long term goal (who by Dornish law has more claim to the throne than Tommen)). So Tyrion goes to Dorne instead of Pentos. Tyrion kills Tywin on the way out which would earn him extreme street cred in Dorne, win Oberyn's 'bro for life' award, and mildly annoy Duran who wanted to destroy Tywin's legacy first. So Cersei trying to hold down Kings Landing will hear rumours that Tyrion is in Sunspear, and so will immediately start attacking the Martells. She made every attempt to hurt the Tyrells out of spite, so I can only imagine how overtly she'd attack the Martells for aiding Tyrion, in her mind the monster who killed her father, son and mother. Cersei would likely sway Tommen to this as well. The Tyrells in the books hate the Martells and so might go along with it, but in both books and show Olenna might see serious problems with getting dragged into another war. However, she'll know if Myrcella is crowned Queen then even if Tommen survives then the Tyrells lose the influence they gain from having Margary as Queen. So they'd likely side with the Lannisters. The Sparrows would take over the city with all the fighting men in the South and the Blackfish would hold Riverrun for another few months and likely whittle the Freys down by being better supplied and by sallying out and doing hit and run tactics on their camp. Eventually the Freys would have to retreat, with no aid to take the castle. At which point, especially knowing there is no Lannister aid coming, the Riverlords would rise back up under House Tully's banner. Lords who were too afraid to come and aid the Blackfish would now do so. And with the Lannisters and Tyrells fighting the Dornish, the Tullys would likely march on the Twins to avenge the Red Wedding. As always the Wildcard is Littlefinger. He might choose to split his army, both sending a force to pick off the winner of the Battle of Winterfell (Stannis or Roose) while also sending a force to take Riverrun while the Blackfish is absent. The question is whether the soldiers of the Vale would do this, having fought beside the Tullys against the Mad King. Baelish would likely judge it too dangerous given the hatred for the Lannisters in the Vale. So he might just focus on the North while the Blackfish takes down the Twins.
I have missed these Kevin 😀 Hope you are well though. What if aegon helped volantis during its wars. Would he take leadership over a reformed empire, and still invades westeros or would he be independent and still invade westeros but have volantine assistance and manpower?
@@TheBattProductions If he had it would've been interesting to see what kind of influence essos would have on westeros? And we know how difficult ruling one continent is. What would a Civil War look like between the manpower and wealth of essos and the power of westeros. Hummm 🤔😁

Or really just Robert since Cersei did love him at some point but what if after the death of the brown-haired and only son they had he actually returned her feelings? Would she have had any kids with Jamie at all? I think that would change everything.
Honestly i think even if they cut his left hand off he would be the same after they cut his right hand. Just the pain of cutting your left hand off knowing you wont be the same person again. Jamie would still lose a lot of his skill because he fought with both hands. I think the same events would rule out besides dorne where jamie and bronn would destroy everyone edit: jamie deos trial by combat with the mountain, kills the mountain. Oberyn thanks him and returns to dorne, jamies daughter doesnt die and so on

Yep, i also want to add that, after fighting brienne he got alot of respect for her, it happened before he lost his right hand, so he would still save brienne.
Love that you're back on UA-cam! Also pretty cool what if scenario

Love to see you cover it
Brienne was at Harrenhal not the Dreadfort. Other than that Awesome video. I dig the 8-bit introduction music
I like that we agree on Tyrion and Jaime. Even arsehole Jaime wouldn't hurt his brother.
You forgot the possibility to yield in a trial by combat and in this case Jamie would just yield and tyrion lives. Tywin would have seen this coming and never named Jamie the champion.
One handed man kills entire Dreadfort garrison. Now that's the start of a legend!
Brienne was at Harrenhal, not the Dreadfort
What if Jon stays with Ygritte and the wildlings/really betrayed the Nights watch
Hed be dead.
The end
@@themutualfriend5286 Maybe not. The willings with Johns knowledge about castle black, and without the Nightswatch being prepared for the Wildlings, they could have made it further south and could work together with Stannis, and they could maybe have taken the 7 kingdoms
Jaime and Brienne are taken to Harrenhal not the Dreadfort just FYI
Indeed. Comment #304,932 telling me I said the wrong place. Haha.
What if when Jon died he came back as the ghost rider from marvel the Lord of light brings him back as fire incarnate
Welcome back! I love these "what if" videos!
What if the Black Fish went North to take back Winter Fell, Because I feel like in the show House Tully true importance was to its family and I feel it was out of character for him to not help his niece and nephew, knowing he could have allies in the wars to come
Boy have I missed these! Great work as always Kev.
What if Jamie agreed to be Tyrion's champion
That'd be a good idea for a GOT fanfic. I'd read it, if someone wrote it.
God damn dude it’s been way too long! But Idc how many channels cover GOT no one does videos like yours! Seriously man I’m happy to see this alert pop up...so don’t take that long of a break before your next one lol
What if Tyrion leaves with Shay to go to Pentos
Nice to have you back!
It’s so good to see this series again! Can’t wait for future episodes!
Also not very GoT/ASOIAF related but what if Aegon V hateched dragons at Summerhall instead of murdering most of his family?
THANK YOU JESUS! AND YOU BATTLE PRODUCTION.
In the end, it's so much better for everyone that Jaime lost his right hand. Thanks for the video!
Also, just had some ideas:
What if Arya killed Sansa, took her face, and became the Lady of Winterfell (In Season 7, episode 6, Beyond the Wall)?
What if Tyrion was killed at the Battle of the Blackwater?
What if Bronn shot Daenerys dead at the Battle of the Goldroad? (and maybe Drogon dies too?)
Anyway, just some interesting ones, I thought.
Thanks for all these videos. I find them fascinating.
What if the valyrean freehold didn't collapse, would they still invade westeros?
The night king VS the freehold 😁
He would need A LOT OF ICE SPEARS
Would you be able to do a speculation of how Littlefinger planned to take Throne in the ultimate end? Since he ignited the whole shizzle
What if Loras Tyrel was sent by Ned alongside with Beric to hunt The Mountain .
What if Ned left King's Landing after quitting Hand of the King?
What if Bran went with Jon at crasters keep?
Great vid. Wait does this mean we get a what if every Sunday again. Yay
What if brienne did not beat lores.
I can’t believe how this one little thing changes the result of Westeros so much.
Here are some fun what if's for you:
What if the full kingsgaurd was at the trident and/or tower of joy?
What if jamie claimed the throne for tywin? (he was asked this by someone after he killed the mad king)
Not sure if you've already done it, but what if Cersei gave Tommen the poison during the battle of the blackwater? Like Tywin's army arrives at the red keep 5 minutes later or something
Would the Tyrell's still kill Joffrey? as there's no Tommen back up
Joffrey remains on the throne?
Tyrion wouldn't be tried for murder and end up going to Daenerys
Tywin would be alive (or was Oberyn poisoning him?)
Cersei probably doesn't end up on the throne?
How would a united Lannister/Tyrell force fare against Daenerys' invasion? (Combined armies and resources)
How would Euron fit into all of it?
What moves could little finger make? as he was involved in Joffrey's death
I would like to mention that long swords which is the swords that Jamie has mostly used until this point in Canon can be wielded with one hand but they really shine when you have two hands in fact all swords big and long are very useful when you use two hands behind their strikes so even just losing his left hand instead of his right I think would affect his swordsmanship and he would acknowledge that which means I think he would still go on a tangent about when he killed Ares Targaryen plus it is said that he had a fever that caused it as well so I think all those things combined I think that part would not have changed
You look like Denethor from Lord of the rings now
Ser TheBattProductions
, love the video and how exited you were in it, but the nerd in me needs to tell you my lord, that the castle that brienne and jaime were taken by bolton men wasn't the Dreadfort in the North, it was Harrenhall in the riverlands, Robb conquered it in the first episode of season three.
Wish you good fortunes in the wars to come.
Omg , thank you brother for this video , I am so glad that I found this channel ☺☺☺.
What if Robert and Ned grew up in King‘s Landing with Rhaegar? (Maybe with Jon Arryn being called to sit on the small council)
What if Jamie wins at the Whispering Wood
What if Aerys successfully blew up King's Landing?
Yay! The what ifs are back ☺
What if Rhaenyra's claim to the iron throne isn't challenged? Basically what if there was never a dance of the dragons?
I don't know if this has been done yet, what if yoren, gendry and Arya made it up north without a hitch?
People are forgetting Stannis’ death changes, after killing those 2 soldiers in the woods he might’ve escaped, or just sat and died
What if Littlefinger had convinced Catelyn to marry him when he brought her Ned’s bones?
What if Tyrion wasn’t a dwarf ?! 🤐
@@TheBattProductions true
RETURN OF THE KING
wt if crown choose mountain and jaime become tyrion's champion
wt would happen at that situation
what if john snow went with benjen stark beyond the wall?
This is from someone who read the first book:
What if Cersie was not told about Sansa and Arya going back to Winterfell and they did went back by boat as they were meant to do?
Not very show related but what if Daenerys married Young Griff?
What if Ned had allowed Arya to openly train with a sword (and bow) at Winterfell?
What if the Tullys killed the Mountain at the Mill?
What if Tyrion was never blamed for Joffrey's Murder?
That's a good one! Changes a ton of events. Nice job.
I think he would be accused either way, even if Joffrey let him leave the wedding or if he wasn't present at all.
(This got WAAAY longer then I intended but Jamie having his hand massively changes the trial, which changes the entire political landscape of Westeros)
I think the trial by combat would go very differently.
I think also the high septon part would be different, cause Jamie would probably kill him after he heard of the walk of shame
Poor Sansa. No matter the Scenario, something shitty happens to her.
I have missed these Kevin 😀
Hope you are well though.
What if aegon helped volantis during its wars.
Would he take leadership over a reformed empire, and still invades westeros or would he be independent and still invade westeros but have volantine assistance and manpower?
I'm terrific Alan! :)
That Aegon scenario is terribly interesting since of course he kind of abandoned that empire. Interesting thought.

If he had it would've been interesting to see what kind of influence essos would have on westeros?
And we know how difficult ruling one continent is.
Then you got bravos as a wild card.
Would future targaryen heirs rule both sides like how the Roman empire split into two?
What would a Civil War look like between the manpower and wealth of essos and the power of westeros.
Hummm 🤔😁

Or would the dothraki still invade if essos was under volantine rule?
I'm not sure if you did this one I haven't seen it but what if Cersei and Robert loved each other? Or really just Robert since Cersei did love him at some point but what if after the death of the brown-haired and only son they had he actually returned her feelings? Would she have had any kids with Jamie at all? I think that would change everything.
What did Barristan Selmy actually do when Ned is captured? He was in that room and it was a massacre, so...
They were at Harrenhal, not the Dreadfort
Jaime would have killed the High Sparrow and the Sand Snakes if he had his right hand.
Honestly i think even if they cut his left hand off he would be the same after they cut his right hand. Just the pain of cutting your left hand off knowing you wont be the same person again. Jamie would still lose a lot of his skill because he fought with both hands. I think the same events would rule out besides dorne where jamie and bronn would destroy everyone
edit: jamie deos trial by combat with the mountain, kills the mountain. Oberyn thanks him and returns to dorne, jamies daughter doesnt die and so on
Also Stannis wouldn't die, as Brienne isn't there to kill him.
I thought about this -- he would've died anyway most likely. The camera specifically showed him bleeding-out, so by that point he was doomed anyway IMHO.
what about stannis? would he have survived his attack on winterfell if brienne isn't there to kill him?
