The beauty in aquascaping come in many shapes and styles, and they all contribute to the world of inspiration of some form and purpose. That’s Why we can’t stop watching. 😅 I love this, can’t wait to see more of you guys. I follow you like a shadow. What was Tommy doing? Some kind of funny business? 😂
hello! im ritz, im actually new to this aquascaping stuff, and i watch green aqua video every single day before i went to sleep. i just want to give shout out to the editor who edits all of green aqua video for an amazing job of picking songs and music, very good job! actually my background is photography and i work in videography. keep up the good work!
"Welcome to the beautiful European world of aquascaping." I laughed! We Americans love to be different. I think you did a very good job with the scape. The reddish rock contrasts well with the bright green of the plants (and fish). For me, this style of Iwagumi is not for me. My favorite Iwagumi are the ones with very large rocks with competing structure with a lot of tension. Everyone has their personal taste. I still really enjoy this creation, and you did a wonderful job.
First, I'd like to say I'm really thankfull for what you, Balázs (and the rest of Green Aqua Team), do for us, Aquascaping fans world wide. Personally, besides the weekly video release, every time I'm passing through a bad moment I come to this channel to get some relief. And for that I'm forever greatful! Secondly, I liked the scape! Simple and beautiful! But I got a question, Balázs, about the two main stone lines of the scape: Have you noticed the depth sensation achieved by the fact that the first line is stronger, thicker than the second one? I wonder if you did it intentionally or not. Cheers from Brazil. (Professor Klebber) P.S: the only improvement I would do: tilt the stones of the first main line a little bit foward, to have more shadows in the tank.
Oh, it was absolutely not intentional LOL. I'm really glad that you have good moments watching us, this is our main mission, I know that feeling, I get it by watching other types of videos. Keep it going, brother. Cheers!
2:24 when you were explaining about friendly teasing we do that all the time in England. Its called banter! I tried abit of "banter" when i went to visit family in the US but i find they take them selves way too seriously! 😅
5:00 I wish if you do a Video about how to prepare the stones to be used for the first time. The dragon stones are very attractive with their reddish colour but the cleaning process is very challenging to get these beautiful cavities.
beautiful work legend. love it. monte carlo always my top favourite one. crypto doing fabulous job. amazing layout. i always want to work with rocks only hardscape.
Some odd questions? For a rimless tank measuring 1200L x 500W x 600H mm, how thick should the glass be? Should the bottom be thicker? Is it best if the bottom is made of Plexiglass or Lucite rather than glass? Love your videos. I never thought I'd get so interested in aquascapes. I've even purchased stuff from you (and I live in Sydney, Australia).
Oh, how cool, Neil, thanks for the support. Well, I would not mix glass with plexi... I would just simply do it with opti-white (clear) glass. The thicker the heavier it will be but the front and back would not bend that much. A minimum of 10-12mm glass thickness is preferable. (The price also goes up with the thickness, and you'll need good quality silicone).
Hi quick question. I noticed that u didnt glue the hardscape together. I wonder how the maintenance will do later on? How do u guys scrub the rocks when needed?
Perfect video and the scape. I will copy this scape to my aquarium (60x40x40x) without making any changing. :) I hope ı will take same result. I have only one question. Which Fertilizer we need to use for this tank? Did you use only micro+macro+ excell or something else? A little help about it, would be just perfect. Thanks in advance .
Sounds good! Good luck with your scape. About fertilizers: you can use both the lean type or the EI fertilizing regime, depending on what you want to achieve. You might want to check out our fertilizing masterclass video for more info.
I would say they are fully cycled by the time we introduce the fish, but we use cycled filter media also, regular water changes, and wait 3-4 weeks after setup before we release the video with the fish in it - last minute. With that said, I would say everybody should wait at least 4 weeks before introducing fish, and use filter starter bacteria after they fill up the tank.
You look like a youngster in the fertilization masterclass video compared to now. :) But hey, we went through a lot of s**t since then. Jokes aside, I am planning to replicate that scape at home. It looks beautiful and easy to maintain in the same time.
Sir I have a question… I found one bottle of Seachem comprehensive liquid which was manufactured in 2017… but there is no expiration date mentioned… so do these products have an expiry? If no then how long can they be used if stored well.., thank you 🙏🏻
I don't think so, they are just salts, maybe the chelated iron has decomposed, but I doubt it. Try it and see if it causes algae in a couple of days, then stop using it.
MC gets more nutrients from the roots, if there is no nutritive soil the roots will get out of it. in a suspended bonsai MC will grow roots down to look for soil.
Maybe you can help me. How much purigen seachem should be used in a 96L aquarium with lots of plants? I also have some fish, but they are not overfed. Right now I have 100ml of purigen and the NO3 content is 50-100. Oase biomaster 250 is responsible for filtration.
The OLD tank was MUCH better because it was not completely linear and it had CHARACTER. Also, I LOVED the little compact plants, like a shaving brush, sticking out above the scape that were left out of the new one which made the tank very unique. For the new tank, you should flatten out the center rock leveling it like in the old scape so that all the rocks are not pointing the EXACT same direction which is boring.
We make many layout mistakes, not afraid to admit it, we try to correct these as we go, if they can be corrected. Embedded rock positioning is often not possible though.
It's a very pretty composition, others can hope to recreate. I do think you're missing something by not including (what I will guess was) Riccia in the original version. You're missing the contrasting color and texture of the dark green which popped, due to the abundance of the lighter colored mote carlo. The current version has to many of the same hue, so it looks washed out. But, it is a pretty composition. And overall, I'm personally a fan of easier to execute compositions like this one. It may not win a competion, but it's also approachable.
@@GreenAquaShop there’s a lot of fantastic aquatic content on YT, but you guys have the most best produced videos. So well done…inspiring and informative.
Hello Balazas... just a simple question while using MC isnt it good to use soil powder..?? U make a MC tank here without using soil powder.. please tell me when we should and shouldnt use powder type. ?
It depends on many things, the tech you use, the quality of the stuff you put in it, the place where you buy it from. But you can actually drop things into the Green Aqua shopping cart on our website to get an idea. We have weekly maintenance on all tanks, it's about 1 -1.5 hours per week, maximum, with this size. Can you make a video about some tricks/tips of contest tank like planting, creating hardscape…
We do have quite a few videos on both the contest tank building and layout techniques!
Hi! Its necesary to fill it with cycled water? Or Its okey With Fresh water with fertilizers, you recomend grow in emerged?
Beautiful., God bless you brother
Thanks, brother!
Just wondering are the tanks usually fully cycled by the time you put the fish in? 3-4 weeks as you mentioned.
many on YT setup scapes only for the vid, then they brake it appart, never copy what they do, document a bit more
I would say they are fully cycled by the time we introduce the fish, but we use cycled filter media also, regular water changes, and wait 3-4 weeks after setup before we release the video with the fish in it - last minute. I’m amaze the slopes doesn’t roll down. How many bag of amazonia v2 do I need to build this & how many kilo of ohko stones?
I used around 1.5 bags of 9 liters in this size. YOu can calculate it yourself, on our website even.

iv been told they dont expire
In the long run, will those rocks slide down from the soil (substrates)? Because they are not sitting on any hard surface but just substrates.
No, interestingly they will stay in their place.
Hello, I planted monte carlo, but the protection solution is not completely cleaned, does the mixture of water cause any harm?
Please anyone can tell the background vinyl is using matte white or gloss white?
O, my god, it beatifull😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Glad you like this minimalist style.
Is the background color paint or vinyl?
Very cool 👍
Love this - Absolutely stunning✌️❤️
Cheers, mission accomplished then.
What kind of filter do you use
MC gets more nutrients from the roots, if there is no nutritive soil the roots will get out of it. in a suspended bonsai MC will grow roots down to look for soil.
Getting out of the soil is more a matter of leaving the MC grow too big. It will be fine with regular trimming.
Beautiful 😍
Glad you like it!
Really cool layout! I’ve only ever scaped with dragonstone in a vertical position, now I’m considering trying something with them laying down instead
