- A groundbreaking grow light that will take some beating and leave many in its wake.
Congratulations to Lumatek for producing a very high quality, very high performance and (most annoyingly) very good value grow light too.
It makes me sick...

The cheapest budget HPS system would easily out perform this light you are trying to sell. It would cost 70% less as well.
Also wouldn't require extra heating in the colder parts of the year.
If LEDs were better than HPS then all the commercial food producing companies would be using them for mature plants..
They are not doing that though are they?? So you see my point?
PS: I'm not trying to sell anything either, just pointing out a few FACTS.
You've established yourself as one of the most honest lighting manufacturers through your testing series. Thank you for always providing your honest feedback and results!
A lot of dudes are trippin on MIGRO for doing some BS test with acrylic in front of it or something. Calling him a fraud now. Not sure whats up
@@anonymous_friend ua-cam.com/video/5jzpn_5e8uE/v-deo.html here's a video response explaining the situation.
I personally only buy lights that have covered diodes. I'll never get 10 years (the lifespan of the diodes) use out of a light that is built like HLG.
It's rare to trust the word of someone trying to sell you something.
But you know he speaks the truth.
Respect.
@@devjyarn10 years out of one LED light!?!? No matter what the brand is that would be pretty damn hard to come by unless your buying one of those Lumatek Zues's which are over a grand and if I spent that kind of loot on one light I'd expect that mofo to last forever! Lol! But HLG makes some very good lights(HLG 240 or the 520 I think...) and they have quality Samsung diodes but not sure if there covered over like the Zues but again I'm not paying that much for 1 light(unless I hit the lottery)! Now I will say a good buddy of mine has a couple HLG's and swares by them but one of the wiring harnesses already shit out on him and hes only been running it @3-4 mo but he also purchased it from China so go figure! But when it come to the light in general, it's super bright also has a dimmable knob you can adjust with which makes it good for any stage of growth you want! 👍 And unlike all the other lights that say there 600s or 2000s or 4000s.....These lights are called HLG 240 and that is exactly how many wats they pull from the wall!I 👌💯💯💯✌
Borrowed phone. If I have when I'm ready might buy from shane first. Hopefully others feel the same
Show me any other company out there, across all industries that would promote their competition's strengths over its own in order to maintain pure integrity. Shane, my hats off to you bud. Looking forward to MIGRO's comeback 💯
You know people make money off videos if they have enough viewers. UA-cam pays you for advertising. Everyone has a motive
Tony Oliva yes, and by sharing honest comparisons for consumers, he also builds brand recognition, builds a belief of his integrity in the mind of the consumer, gets free verbal advertising when a viewer talks to someone in a grow store, and even if only 1% of all people who hear about him stop by his UA-cam channel or his company website he gets ad revenue. If this guy is as honest and kind as he presents himself in his videos, he earned it IMO.
Why promote the enemy idiot
To hamesjerk. Im glad for this "idiot", providing priceless information to us normal folks at home trying to decide on the best light for them. Who's the idiot here?

Migro is the only lights i will buy , for that excate reason , honesty

Just so you know, we've ALL been LIED to about a myriad of topics within our Science's & Recorded Human History. So, you'd better get used to the concept that Liars do indeed exist and quite a bit of the socially accepted dogma's of our time are incorrect. I hope you are thinking for yourself & not following the herd or the talking mainstream pundits or it's you that is really the fool for not questioning what you've been spoon-fed your whole life. Cool light and cool review. I totally respect your transparency and your lights. Can't wait to see how Migro responds to all the serious LED competition that has accelerated recently.
I have to be honest with you Shane, i was watching your Videos since like a year maybe, and i thought you are just one more, of all them guys saying, our lights are the best. This Video totally changed my opinion about you, and this time you get a sub for sure. Im hyped about the new top chart, thank you very much for all you do.
I love how honest and transparent you are. I trust you completely. I'll buy from you because of your honesty
Me too going to buy from Shane because of "No bulshit"the truth will set you free
A real honest human being. So rare, so beautiful. I'm buying MIGRO for that reason and the lumatek wont fit in my space. Thanks MIGRO!!
Shane has gained the respect of the whole industry, and ours!!👍 what a honest PRO!!!! Thank you a lot for your work Mr Shane.
Love the honesty on this channel. No bs like a certain one claiming they can get 2.8 or 3. Just straight facts and info. Keep up the great work, cheers 👍
Yes! It's often very confusing. What the chip puts out itself, and what it puts out in "real world conditions", like, the more LED chips used at a certain Wattage, the better the efficiency, as compared to less chips at the same power! And the chips will last longer because they're not driven as hard, or get as hot with many chips. Great light, especially if looking for one for a 4x 4!
@@timturk1899 HID specs do this too. PPF of a cylindrical bulb I'm pretty sure they measure in 360* (in a sphere), and that's not how the overwhelming majority of their use is. There's a reflector and 180* (ish) are being directed up at/into that and bounced several times and reflected back down (losses).
Good points though.

You should have tons of views every video man, best on UA-cam and you answer all of the most asked questions. Every time I get asked hey what light should I buy I point them in your direction. Thank you for all the effort it is truly appreciated.
Congratulations to Lumatek. This is a big milestone for 2020 led industry. Thanks to Migro for honest reviews. Keep it up!

I would like to see it go up against the Growers Choice ROI-E680!
I have one going full speed @ week 4. Specs look better on paper for the ROI. (ReturnOnInvestment)
@Floris van Nederpelt I always look for 3rd party data specs or PAR charts, which I dont see on the zues. Also, I love how the ROI has a stronger blue spectrum for quality. I'm currently running my ROI along with HLG-Rspec boards in a different tent . I can tell the difference in crystal quality. The ROI looks more frosty, which I assume is coming from the stronger blue spectrum . Same as with my HLG- qb96 engines that have a stronger blues. I never knew Lumatek had an LED coming out , I've used their ballasts in the past with no issues before LED came along. Also, there are alot of 100 dollar coupons out there for the ROI. I got mine for $899. Flat. No tax, free shipping. However building HLG frames from scratch with aluminum angle is fun ass hell and you save a ton of cash doing so. So, my bet is to go with the ROI for now. It's amazing.
I second the roi test, I have one with the digital controller and it rocks. 1700 ppfd.

Bought the Zeus 600w pro but can´t manage to get more yield than I had with the Lumatek 600W LEC. 1.20m x1,20m getting about 500 grams.
Can´t run the leds over 75% without getting light burn.
Is it worth it to use this light in 1.5m x1.5m and put the lights higher?
Honest review. Migro will have to counter.
His honesty gained him a subscriber and I know he's a man of his word
The guy at the Hydroponics store in Belfast is recommending your channel for light reviews. I just picked up two of these units after watching your video. Great job, thank you for your efforts here. Saved me getting the wrong lights and probably some money as well.
Wow What a great light! We knew this day would come Shane.
However,! It's too big for a closet grow, and that's where Migro flexibility shines, if you excuse the pun.
I will stick with Migro. Plants love the light and I love to feed them. Also Design is far more superior, compact... Thumbs up for ultra big cabinet growers and lumatek.
Good on yer Shane. Looking forward to your competing product ;)

Hey MIGRO. Thanks a lot for the great reviews over the years. Can I ask you, do you still think these lumatek bar lights are great in 2024, or beaten by better EU options? Should I be worried about the longevity of the Lumatek diodes compared to SAMSUNG?
Best grow light channel on UA-cam. Period.

Everything is great and all but for consumers we need to know the price as well to know how good it is per $ spent. Thanks!

Good video! My one only have 300 diodes on each bar. I saw on your one its twice as much like on my zeus 600 pro. Cant believe everyone its tricking the customers.
Congrats for your honesty! i still love migro for the versatility, but the zeus it's really cool, big light by big serious company, with effective customer care not like staff like optic hlg and bla bla bla....
by the way i believe in migro and always prefer your stuff. Good work man, you have all of my respect, confirmed at all your video release
I know a little off topic. But where is the ideal spot to place my temp gauge within the grow tent?
Thanks for the videos I've learnt lots 👌👍
I'm a newbie grower with a little bit of money to spend compared to my friends cheapo lights.
Because my state in the U.S. limits medical growers to a very small grow......
For the following reasons I'll be buying your lights:
1. Quality
2. Small so a very adaptable light when you don't have room!
3. Value for the money is HUGE.
4. I can get these for U.S. use. Yay!
5. Your Honesty!!! (I would have bought your lights without number 5, but... This is something you just
don't see these days... so I guess you have locked me in for life!)
Thank you for the great review. Would love to have one. Where can I buy this in the USA? Does it come 120v?
He linked it in the video description, would probably be best to search on their site.
hey i got a question , you say this is the best light you've tested but the par reading didn't even come higher then 1000 in de middle ? for example with the quantumboard fixture there were reading over 1200 , can you explain ?
Velocy taptor....you want the uniformity of the lightspread, it doesn't do any good if you have high ppfd in the middle and poor on the sides and corners. Hotspots are no good. You want to get the most even lightspread throughout the whole canopy, something like a 1000 ppfd across the whole canopy would be ideal. That's why i run 8-bar vertical farming-style light myself, amazing uniformity, incredible yield and most importantly the best quality herb possible.
Peace
Hey Shane,
Thanks for the review. Just wondering, were you/have you been using the new apogee extended par sensor for the tests you've been doing since getting it, including this review?
Thanks.
Tell you what, I'm a wait for your response to that bad boy and I'm sure you'll come up with something absolutely killer at a better price!
With all the lights you have reviewed if you had to choose one (I have a $1500 budget) which would be the best one? 😁
Bad info the Regular Zeus 600w is 2.3umol/j The Zeus 600w pro is 2.7umol/j
Lumatek 600's were the first digital ballasts i owned/used & due to excellent performance & reliability never had a need to change &/or try others, it doesn't surprise me that Lumatek LED lights are so highly rated but it's fantastic to hear the company is still producing quality products as i personally have been out of the loop for many years, ever since a bunch of violent mindless thugs forcibly entered my property & stole all the growing equipment, including the Lumateks, along with stealing &/or destroying other items not for indoor growing, obviously they took great pleasure in the destruction of private property with the only uncut electrical lead being on the fridge.....probably too much effort to get too.
Anyway enough about that cos' if i get started about those particular violent thugs & go on about witnessing other pondscum...i mean, members of that particular group spraying CS gas point blank in the face of a young mother whilst she was holding her baby or dragging an elderly lady down the road by her hair then i'll be here all day.
Peace out.

Hi there!
Great review!
Im really on the fence here, deciding of switching from HDI to LED.
I’m currently using 3 Lumatek 600w digital blasts, on Adjust a wing reflectors.
My current favorite is Lumatek Zeus 600pro but the price of 1100€ is a leading factor that holds me back from purchase. It would be 3300€ in total, which can be a lot or a little, depends on what will i gain from it.
My current best with the HDI’s is 415g dry per 0,9 square meter.
What would be your input on upgrade from HDI to LED.
Appreciate your suggestions
i would say go for it...edit- just saw your post is so old. have u switched to zeus?
I know its been 3 years already, but you can take 600g easy and not using the full power of this led. Atleast the 2.9 version
My thought is that with the Migro, it will be very easy to upgrade the COB, as newer higher efficiency COBs become available, for only the cost of the new COB and some thermal past/tape, (already have a decent soldering iron, solder and electrical flux). This is not true of lights in this form factor I would not think, so at least there is that to keep in mind.
Will you introduce kits to do that in the future, for those who have already purchased your lights?
And I do love the honesty, even if I don't always agree with all your conclusions (not referring to anything here).
