Thank you for addressing Anthony/RJ hate. I saw this, too, on Twitter. It was disgusting.
I'm glad you both touched on the racism issue of RJ's existence. The actor didn't ruin it because of his acting, he ruined it because he was there. I've even read comments that stated, "Only Carl and Judith should have been there." WTH???
But this is not new. The youngest person to be nominated for Best Actress was Quvenzhané Wallis. At 6 she starred in "Beasts of the Southern Wild". Her acting was extraordinarily outstanding, possibly the best child actor ever. Yet, several famous actors called her all kinds of racial and sexual slurs and one academy member disrespected her name by calling her "Alphabet Wallis". He stated he would never vote for someone whose name he couldn't pronounce.
Then we have the Onion that tweeted the following: "Everyone else seems afraid to say it but that Quvenzhane Wallis is kind of a c*nt, right? Oscars2013." Quvenzhane was a young child. If I were Anthony's parents I would try my best to help him understand he is going to get attacked for just being who he is and playing a part of a child just for being who that child is. He can be skilled enough to be nominated for an Oscar and will still be attacked. I would try to teach him he should never take it personally. It's their problem not his.
Thank you guys for commenting on the Antony/RJ situation. Even some UA-camrs was going after him. The stuff I’d seen in twitter and Facebook was sickening. RJ did what he was supposed to, he couldn’t run and jumped into his Daddy’s arms like he did with his Mama that would have been totally unrealistic. I 🙏🏾 all the best for that sweet boy and if he ever shows up in another spin-off I’m there. I’m meeting Antony at The Camp next month and I can’t wait to hug him and tell him I’ve loved him since he made his appearance and been in his corner. Great recap and looking forward to the next one.
I don't condone the attacks on him at all... but tbh the writing was pretty bad. The "I knew you'd come back" "why?" "I believed" 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ I felt that was the main issue with the last two episodes ...the proposal for me was even worse!

I agree. If they were able to have 5 more episodes we probably would’ve gotten to see the CRM more and it’s connection to Pamela Milton, Commonwealth, Texas and their testing on humans and even variant walkers. But they had limited time. I think they used the time well to focus on Rick & Michonne. It was a great series. Thankyou for calling out the racist attacks on the actor that portrays RJ. It’s important that fans who are not Black call out the racism. Thankyou for calling it what it is.
I really loved ❤❤when Rick and Michone were driving away in the yellow truck smiling, happy, with music playing in the background it gave me a sensation like how Saturday mornings make you feel.. free, to do whatever you want to do.🤗🤗
This was not the first time we saw Rick in this kind of position. Back when Negan was terrorizing Alexandria, Rick decided to just give into him. He thought if they gave Negan what he asked for, they would be safe. I remember him talking to everyone and telling them that they had no choice but to go along. This felt like the same Rick in defeat mode.
Jadis’ letter was important because it got them to go back to the CRM. If that letter didn’t exist, Portland would’ve gotten destroyed and many other communities.
So glad that I deleted Twitter last year.

The idea to wipeout entire cities was Beale’s mentality, I think, not necessarily the CRM. The scum who went after RJ/Antony are pathetic and the reason TWD has fallen off on fandom and alienates would be new fans. And if they think people like Norman and Mel or even Andy and Danai would support this Hate, you’re fooling yourselves. It’s always the idiots the unintelligent who can’t comprehend that RJ/Antony was being directed by adults creating the scene. If they wanted the actor to play the scene differently, they would have instructed him to. SMH.
Okay, guys. In season 3, when Michone was introduced, she wore a gold necklace with the letter M
At the cabin, Rick gave Michone gold necklace with the letter M. When I saw that I immediately start crying because I remembered. Thanks for the videos.❤
Michonne actually wore a gold letter “A” when you first see the necklace it was for her son Andre but people thought she wore it for Andrea so they changed it to an “M”

I do think some folks downplay the significance of the Echelon Briefing. The biggest revelation isn’t the killing of smaller communities, it’s the 14 year countdown of humanity’s time left on the planet. That’s a **MASSIVE** reveal. Changes what we know about this world going forward! I think it’ll represent the largest looming threat now. Loved it!
Maybe that be the true end game massive walker herds that are fresh and super strong. Beale said the virus mutated. I loved the show. I just think they took out CRM to fast.

Rick DID know about Omaha. He suspected during the newscast when Thorne burst in with her wrong interpretation. It was later confirmed in the helicopter by Okafor when he said there would be no more Omahas.
I was also a big fan of Okafor too. I wish he lived longer. Great Video!
Also, RJ was about 5 years old when we met him in S9 and I assume his actor was probably close in age. When you cast someone that young, all the parties won’t really know how they’ll grow into acting, etc. Recasting RJ for the reunion wouldn’t make sense unless there was another big time jump.
Thank you for saying something about the attacks on that child actor! I have stopped commenting and scroll past posts because of it. My God, it has been gut wrenching to observe. I'm certain they wanted continuity with the child actor into TWOL from the last episodes of TWD, but he was a baby when he was on the main show and would have had no idea about acting. I hate that this is happening in the fandom, ashamed, actually. Thank you for speaking up.

I don't go on Twitter, but I didn't realise the RJ actor was a shy kid. I every time he's been on screen I wondering if he was actually going to talk/ be given lines. I've always want more from him like we get from Judith. I hope he overcomes his shyness, being an actor should help.

The amount of hatred people have for RJ is insane. I never interacted with other fans or really even followed TWD universe on social media until this past year, so I didn't even realize how many people dislike Rick and Michonne being together.

I dont understand why they blame the kid actor. That scene meeting his dad is alright because its supposed to be awkward meeting for the first time. It is what the director wanted and not because of the actors acting.
for people who are hating on RJ, i simply don't understand. when i was around 7 years old i heard i had another brother for the first time, didn't really understand it but then he showed up at my house out of no where, i was really off and skiddish to him, i didn't immediately run up to him and hug him, i understand RJ completely

Almost no filler. Straight to the point. Awesome. I got what I wanted, Rick , Michonne, some intense situations...cool side characters....emotional moments...great writing. Believable story.. closure for Carl by reuniting Rick with his children. That was beautiful

Without the letter they never would have attended the assembly they would have just went home. Also the CRM wasn't reformed the city took over control of the remaining CRM that wasn't at the assembly all of the heads of the CRM were at that assembly

I agree that the "life is good, here comes a new enemy" trope is overdone. However, I agree with Jarell, I think the only cool new enemy/threat would be if Madame Genet and her variants come over from France and start fucking shit up, lol. We could have Daryl come home, reunite with Rick, everything's beautiful then Daryl's like, "hey guys, something extremely ugly followed me back." Yeah, I think that would be a great new storyline for a crossover event.
Amazing season, i loved it. It's great that Rick came home aswell. The reunion scene with the kids is one of my scenes ever in any show

Yeah, guys, totally happy with this series. I recently heard that Gimple gave an interview where he said that our main characters did not really need to have a reunion and that independent storylines would be better. Well, while I do appreciate some degree of independence in the stories, I hope when they decide to conclude the spinoffs that the fans get some type of meet up of the principals. Let's hope. 🤞🤞

I wish when we got the reunion Judith would have handed rick his gun and we got a similar scene to when Daryl handed rick his gun when they reunited at hilltop mid season 7. That 357 was his signature weapon and it would have been awesome to even just see him hold it one last time.

I was going back and forth with a woman on Facebook who said she hated seeing RJ wear the hat and I’m like it’s his Daddy’s hat why the hell wouldn’t he wear it? These so call adults was not adulting at all.

Great summary! I really loved this show. I had no expectations and was just along for the ride. That may be why I enjoyed it so much. There were no bad episodes IMO. Every episode greatly entertained me, and I was happy with the ending!
Your point about them running into another enemy and having to fight that person/organization is exactly why I’m happy with how the CRM plot wrapped up. Could it have gone on more seasons? Sure, but why? After 10+ years, I’m ready for these characters I love to be happy. I don’t want to keep seeing them fight Aldine new psycho, especially since I know they may die in the process. I want them relatively safe and happy. That’s why I’m happy with the ending Richonne got. They found each other. They are with their kids. Others can lead now while they relax and enjoy their family! It was perfect. I want Carol, Daryl, and Maggie to find peace and happiness too. It’s about time. I don’t need to see them fighting some new fascist dictator. Been there, done that. As you said, if a new season focused on a cure or the variants and adapting to that, I would be interested. I’m just over fighting some other whacky community with a crazy leader. That well is dry, IMO.
Re: the reunion- I loved it! The ppl who compared Carl to RJ are silly. As you said, Rick is virtually a stranger to both Judith and RJ. RJ’s acting was spot on. Real life kids meet parents for the first time all the time and don’t burst into tears or become overly excited. I love that RJ is shy. Some kids are. His interactions with Rick were perfectly normal and fine! That scene was super sweet!
As far as varients go they teased fresh super strong walkers that were like that the second they die. No toxic darts unless they guy shot the scientist with it but it look like a normal gun. Hopefully we see it in season 2 but they made seem all walkers in France were like that.
I didn’t meet anyone on my father’s side until I was 14. we knew about each other but just never met. it was weird. it was awkward. I still don’t have as close a relationship with them as I do my mom’s side. the first time I met my half brother he was still a stranger to me regardless of our relation. it’s less attractive for tv to portray that situation honestly but oh well.
If Rick had not heard Beale's briefing and he and Michonne just went home after destroying the dossier, they wouldn't know that Beale's plan included destroying Alexandria. I would have loved to have seen how Michonne and Rick would have reacted to coming back and finding out about Commonwealth, that Alexandria didn't really need supplies because of Commonwealth, that Judith was shot, everyone they lost, what happened with the Whisperers, Negan being out and having saved Judith more than once, etc.

It was by far the best spinoff TWD has produced thus far, i just hope its not the last time we see rick grimes
Speaking of helicopters.Would been great to see Rick flying in helicopter equipped with missiles heading towards France for Darryl and Carol. Also Rick should kept that special hand instead the newer one.
I thought it was clearly the best spin off. Perfect? No. But some episodes were the best ones since like season 5 or 6 of TWD. The finale felt rushed, but the ending was great.

I'm really hoping for a season 2, but I won't be holding my breath. I think AMC will definitely be down for it since it was their best show since Better Call Saul ended. It's up to Andy and Danai if they wanna do another one. Every episode 800k+ viewers. Every episode was rated higher than 8.5 on IMBD. With the exception of episode 5 which was 8.3. Daryl Dixon and Dead City didn't come close to those views or ratings.
I also feel like Nat & Okafor were two of the best characters introduced in any spin off.. Including FTWD. Wish we got more. Would love to see them bring back Tales and dedicate two episodes to those characters. Maybe a Beale one too.
For me personally Daryl Dixon is still the best spin off of the 3 new ones

Im expecting that people who get bit by the france "variants" become them themselves, or it somehow becomes the norm for people to turn into these variants like we saw in the WB post credit scene, all it takes is one fast walker in a community to start a chain reaction and that being the next big threat

Daryl Dixon is still the best spin off in my opinion for the different feel it brings and the writing was good. I enjoyed ones who live but I didn’t like some cringe writing in the finale with the love doesn’t die lines

RJ's lines and delivery where cringe but that's where that type of opinion should end now on to the show as a whole I was personally disappointed episode 1 was phenomenal so was episode 2 they clearly had direction then episode 3 I started seeing some warning signs and then came episodes 4 and 5 two episodes that in my opinion ruined this spin-off but at least I did get some enjoyment out of episodes 1,2 some of 3 and the finale

Okay, as for the kid who plays RJ, I do think his acting is bad and I've thought that the whole time, not just from the one reunion scene.
However, I've seen comments that go a little further and start saying things like "what's wrong with this kid" or other things assuming or speculating he has autism, and comments like that are just gross. They're entirely uncalled for and downright cruel if you ask me.
I loved it. Best show since the OG series. But killing the CRM so fast I disliked, and the ending was rough around the edges. I’ll leave at that.

Truthfully all the kids were fairly bad.the only one i liked immediately was the reintroduced Judith ( after bridge with time jump). Took a while to even warm up to Carl. Young kids need experience to make them really good at what they're doing no matter if it's acting, sports whatever. I did see some comment about race, this is first time i've been on since. There's no place in my life for that kind of thing.

I'm no casting expert but maybe a shy person shouldn't be an actor. I'm obviously against the attacking and racist comments against him but there isn't anything wrong with criticising his acting, because it was clearly bad, other kids his age could do a much better job. It really did ruin the ending scene for me, all that build up just for a bad actor to pull me out of the moment
There are actually many successful actors who are inherently shy. Becoming another persona allows them to expand their personalities.
For all the people going after RJ's actor is horrible. There are a lot of great TWD fans but for those people, you don't belong

That said, I still loved the reunion scenes! They were very heartwarming to me. I love that Rick was reunited with his kids. That’s the only thing I truly wanted out of this series! I can watch the reunion again and again. It was sweet to me!

I will forever disagree. It was a romantic love thing. Rick just didn't want her. And yes, "if I can't have him no one else will." You would never think that way if you were not in love with that person. Those are words of a romantic rival. Why would it matter if they had more than you as a friend? But you could think that way of they had more than you as a lover.
The actor who plays Thorne literally says it was not romantic love.

If the actor said any of that (and that's a big IF) she has never watched TWD and have no idea what her character motivation is or doesn't know how the romance genre works. I come here for walking dead talk not for the update on the state of racism, I'm not ignorant and I know there is racism on all sides. That's not what I watch your videos for, I watch them to escape that ignorance. So I believe this will be the last NocBro video I watch if this is the content you want to produce. Also before you dismiss me as "White Privileged" I am a white male, I grew up in the North Forest District of Houston Tx (a predominately black school and neighborhood, google it) and I got abused mentally, physically and was broken down to believe I was less of a human by blacks on a daily basis because of the color of my skin. I don't speak on it very often because I firmly believe that racism only has the power you enable it. When you feed ignorance (especially with younger groups) the ignorance becomes greater in power and numbers because others want that attention also regardless if its ignorant negative attention or not. So if you are here to speak of the walking dead then I'm here to listen because you do have great content, but if racism is a platform you want to speak of then i can't be a part of feeding the monster.

Guys nobody attacking RJ but he performed like droid…no emotion, no passion he was like brain dead it was bad acting doesn’t matter it’s kid or not it’s opinion of people so if I speak for myself I really didn’t like his acting and he is very empty filled character.
