Thank you for the detailed guide to purchase ktx tickets. >For purchasing 2 tickets, do I only need to key in one passengers’ names or both? >Are the seats automatically assigned or do I have to choose? Thank you.
First of all my bad for checking in so late 😅 - No need for that, no matter how many tickets all you need is 1 name - They are automatically assigned if you don’t choose them, from what i remember the english version of the official app doesn’t let you choose seats manually :( though i may be wrong if you wanna choose seats manually either use the default korean version of the app or buy them offline
Thanks for the great informative video! Question: In case I missed the KTX train (ticket with seat reserved), can I just board the next train as standing? or must return to the ticket-counter for refund and re-purchase ticket for the next train? (which takes time and probably will miss a train...)
I'd like you to make a video on how to ride buses in Seoul. Most of the routes of the buses posted in bus-stops are written in Korean; so can you give tips on how a foreigner who only knows how to read in English can make use of the Seoul buses? Thanks.
Sure thing! I do already have that planned. I have a question for you, is using Google Maps for bus routes not enough to serve as a proper guide? It'd be very helpful in making that video if you gave me your POV on your struggles with Korean buses.
Hello, I want to know if I reserved a ticket on internet. Then could I change it on ticket machine or ticket office? Because I like collect tickets during the travels.😥
Hi! Sorry for checking on you so late. For you to get the physical tickets you need to buy them at the ticket booth, so you should not book them in advance online.
Thank you for the information. I would like to ask how can I check KTX schedule at the end of July? Is it hard to buy the tickets during summer peak season? How far should I buy in advance? Thank you!!!!^_^
Korail posts their train schedules on their system a few weeks in advance. The tickets are not hard to get on all seasons, and if they’re all sold out, you can get them at the ticket booth anyways.
My guess would be that 3rd party apps, e.g. Railninja, would probably charge more than Korail’s official app. If you’d like to make sure then get your ticket at the Korail’s official app as described in the video, or you can also buy them at the counter.
Hi thank you for the information. It really helps. And I would like to ask, if the ticket counter only have the standing tickets? And are trains from Seoul to Busan always full on weekend? Or we can get a seat by buying on the counter for on the spot ticket.
no you can also buy regular tickets from the ticket booths. yes from seoul to busan trains are usually full on weekends, but if you try hard enough and keep refreshing the ticket page you’ll eventually manage to secure a cancel ticket.
I made a reservation online. After i got an email. When I went back to the website to check ticket there's nothing showing. What do I do? I can't call them as im located in new york. Pls help
@@KoreaTravelGuide Thanks for the video it's a great help. I have the same question as cindy, the app or Letskorail website automatically assigns your seat when booking the first class ticket e.g. car 4 seat 2C but if you're travelling solo it would be great to be able to select one of the single row 'A' seats in first class since it's a 1 seat layout ('A') and 2 seats (seats 'B' and 'C') in each 3 seat row. Do you know if you can change the seat assigned to you from the online\app booking at the station prior to boarding? I don't think it can be done from the app\online after you've booked.
i received my ticket via email with the QR code. do i still need to go to the ticket office at the train station to get a physical ticket? or is my email ticket sufficient? thank you!

Can you explain how to buy and use korail seletive days pass for foreigners .?

I used the website and it told me to print the tickets. I assume that was just because I used the website and I can use the app instead?
Yup if you have the ticket on your app you’re good to go!
Can we choose the seats?

i didn’t understand your question, can you elaborate?

I wonder this as well! What did you end up finding out?
After ordering online, do online tickets have to be printed at the station?
Nope, just show your mobile ticket screen when asked
