How To Go From Incheon Airport To Seoul (Hongdae) By Subway, Taxi & Bus
Can we pay cash as well in the bus?
I was in Seoul last week and planned to take the AREX into the city centre but because none of the ATM's were working my only option was to get a bus ticket with my debit card. I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the bus journey was, I selected Namdaemun Market as my destination and the bus dropped mtly opposite it. Next time I visit Seoul I won't hesitate to use the bus (6001) again.
I made a reservation online. After i got an email. When I went back to the website to check ticket there's nothing showing. What do I do? I can't call them as im located in new york. Pls help
Hi!! Where can we put our BIG luggage???😿 I heard there’s some compartments at the end of each car but idk if we just put them there or how?
do you have a video about night buses in seoul going to incheon airport? anyways, nice video you deserve more subs!
Very useful, thank you!
Are the KTX tickets open time? Can you alight the train ahead of your scheduled boarding time? Thanks.
Where do you tag the card when you descend from the bus ?
This place is empty
Thank you so much for this very detailed tour. I'm planning my trip and I really would like to try this. Just to clarify though, do I have to also buy an observation deck ticket + seoul sky bridge tour to actually go there, or can I just purchase the Seoul sky bridge tour only?
You do not recommend NOT buying the tmoney card, so you highly recommend buying it there or not? If yes is it because it'd be better to have it asap?
They are more likely to local train of main lines, which provides run-through service to subway. There are many trains that run through to subway in the world, like Tokyo metro. The difference is, usually they don't mark them as single line, unlike Koraen ones. Also, Korean subway that runs through to other line take the minimum fair only once, while most of them take it again when you go through the boundary station.
> 'If you need to take a quick dump...' : I haven't laughed so hard in a long time, Bro. 😆
hahaha thanks!!
is this terminal 1? or Terminal 2? the one you made a vlog
It's Terminal 2 😃
only korail + seoul metro line 1 = 200+@ km now
super helpful video, thank you!
pleasure is mine ❤️
It's a Vr experience
Thank you!
I think this video is really helpful !
Glad it helped!
Hi. We can use t money from myeongdong to incheon airport right?
Of course!
This is great info honestly, but if you're a tourist in korea, GET A TMONEY CARD! really, it's just the most convinient for everyone, you'll get free transfers and when you leave Korea you'll have a nice little reminder cause the designs are great!
Can you explain how to buy and use korail seletive days pass for foreigners .?
what time is this? so we can book when not much people around
Don't remember which time that was 😅
i received my ticket via email with the QR code. do i still need to go to the ticket office at the train station to get a physical ticket? or is my email ticket sufficient? thank you!
I used the website and it told me to print the tickets. I assume that was just because I used the website and I can use the app instead?
Yup if you have the ticket on your app you’re good to go!

Surprised at the low view count on this video! It was super helpful, covering some additional topics compared to other videos on the topic. Thank you for the video!
Thanks a lot for your kind words and motivation!
Hello, I want to know if I reserved a ticket on internet. Then could I change it on ticket machine or ticket office? Because I like collect tickets during the travels.😥
Hi! Sorry for checking on you so late. For you to get the physical tickets you need to buy them at the ticket booth, so you should not book them in advance online.
Can you change seat on 1st class after they assign ?
i didn’t understand your question, can you elaborate?
@@KoreaTravelGuide Thanks for the video it's a great help. I have the same question as cindy, the app or Letskorail website automatically assigns your seat when booking the first class ticket e.g. car 4 seat 2C but if you're travelling solo it would be great to be able to select one of the single row 'A' seats in first class since it's a 1 seat layout ('A') and 2 seats (seats 'B' and 'C') in each 3 seat row. Do you know if you can change the seat assigned to you from the online\app booking at the station prior to boarding? I don't think it can be done from the app\online after you've booked.
Why we can't use tmoney from the airport to somewhere?
honestly i have no idea, it’s just like that 😂
thanks for a most informative video! new subscriber here! would you advise using the all stop train from ICN airport to Hongdae Exit 1 with luggages? will there be lifts and escalators leading to exit 1?
hey, thanks for subscribing! i’m not entirely sure if there is one at that exact exit but there will be a lift near that at least 🙂

Greetings from Canada, I learned that you don't have Google map there, but Navermap, can it be translated to English?
yes the app offers english under language settings

Hey, firstable thank you for the helpful guide. Secondable I would appreciate your help in my choice here. I'm visiting Seoul soon and judging by your video we are staying somewhere around your place and the arex full stop is so covinient but I'm afraid we are going to catch the rush hour in the subway since we arrive around 5pm and idk if the train wont get overpacked. We are going to be with big suitcases and i'm worried people would be annoyed by us and yeah. Saw there is a limo bus but it stops around exit 8 and idk if it is better to do the limo bus and then go from exit 8 to exit 7 through the subway, Oh yeah, we are arriving on a weekday too so i'm kinda overthinking it atm. Your recommendation would help tons.
no need to worry, arex is meant to be used by travelers, people will understand if you got some luggage on you even if it’s packed. with that being said, i do recommend taking the bus, it’s gonna be quite a hassle to carry all those around in rush hours…
Does Incheon airport have a good money exchange branch there?
there are banks at the airport but their rates are known to be less competitive compared to banks elsewhere
Thank you for the detailed guide to purchase ktx tickets. >For purchasing 2 tickets, do I only need to key in one passengers’ names or both? >Are the seats automatically assigned or do I have to choose? Thank you.
First of all my bad for checking in so late 😅 - No need for that, no matter how many tickets all you need is 1 name - They are automatically assigned if you don’t choose them, from what i remember the english version of the official app doesn’t let you choose seats manually :( though i may be wrong if you wanna choose seats manually either use the default korean version of the app or buy them offline
Ticket peice seems expensive in other link such as rail ninja.. Can i purchase at counter... Which one you think better one
My guess would be that 3rd party apps, e.g. Railninja, would probably charge more than Korail’s official app. If you’d like to make sure then get your ticket at the Korail’s official app as described in the video, or you can also buy them at the counter.
The MRT train in Seoul in Korea motor running sound really sounds like Singapore's Downtown Line MRT (Blue line) one.
MRT (x) AREX Airport railroad express (o)
You can go to Jeju from gwanju airport too
Oh I see 😮 thank you for the information!
Thank you for the information. I would like to ask how can I check KTX schedule at the end of July? Is it hard to buy the tickets during summer peak season? How far should I buy in advance? Thank you!!!!^_^
Korail posts their train schedules on their system a few weeks in advance. The tickets are not hard to get on all seasons, and if they’re all sold out, you can get them at the ticket booth anyways.

Hi thank you for the information. It really helps. And I would like to ask, if the ticket counter only have the standing tickets? And are trains from Seoul to Busan always full on weekend? Or we can get a seat by buying on the counter for on the spot ticket.
no you can also buy regular tickets from the ticket booths. yes from seoul to busan trains are usually full on weekends, but if you try hard enough and keep refreshing the ticket page you’ll eventually manage to secure a cancel ticket.
Hi! Your video is very helpfull. I need to go to Hankuk Univ. of Foreign Studies Station. Does the discartable ticket works to the full trip, or do I have to buy a new ticket in Seoul Station? thanks again
they work for the full trip, and same goes for all subway stations 😃

After ordering online, do online tickets have to be printed at the station?
Nope, just show your mobile ticket screen when asked
