Not so fast. I would check to make sure the cluster is receiving all its power and grounds along with the network communication. Power and ground check just requires a test light and can-bus will require a scope to see if its communicating.
I just diagnosed 2 cluster issues on 2 separate cars in the past 2 months. One was a Jeep Patriot in which the cluster was dead with the key off, power locks also did not work. That had a bad 12v constant wire that was broken in the harness before it reached the cluster.
Another car, Ford Expedition the car would not run with no communication from anything and high/low can was off line. Unplugged the cluster and the high speed can network came back online, low still dead. Checked power and grounds to the cluster. It was missing a ground. The DS kick panel ground was rotted off the truck. Fixed it and everything was fixed. Truck ran perfectly.
I agree. My wife's liberty same issue but it will randomly come on and stay on until a bad rain storm or real humid weather. I also think ours is a ground or wire problem.
I worked for a Dodge dealership.selling liberties, commanders, and the Dodge compass.never seen anything like that what caused the issue ?
What the light next to the chech engine light. Is that tire pressure ?
Love this guy.
I just tried it on 2005 Jeep Liberty and all my gauges moved up so it’s not my instrument cluster. I was checking because my fuel gauge stays on empty
Probably a bad fuel level sending unit or the float came off.
Our dealer only auction in Ohio allowes us to drive any car on a little test strip. Do they let u do that at ur auctions?
I have a 2009 Jeep Liberty Limited with the exact same issue. Where did you get yours rebuilt/replaced?
Hey bro what's the name of the app to scan vehicles at the delaer auction for pricing
KBB, Blackbook, Edmunds, or Manheim
What happened to the snow storm video ?
The sound quality was absolutely terrible I have to re-edit it tonight. Sorry
I have gast th reed light on what's men
# 1. I think
What's the name of your scan tool?
Looks like Autel, very popular aftermarket scanner. Very affordable compared to Snap on scanner and people I know who have one say they work well for price.
when erasing your codes you didn't toggle ignition on and off.
hmm... not sure what you mean?
@@FlyingWheels when your scan tool said "turn ignition off" and then "turn ignition on" you didn't. That's why it didn't clear the codes. It said at 2:19 ish "turn ignition off" yet all the lights were still on in the dash. I didn't hear the click of you turning off the ignition.
@@muskokamike127 ah, I see what you're saying. I had already run the diagnostic test before doing the video. I just did it again a little quicker for the video itself thank you!
@@FlyingWheels the only reason I noticed was I did the same thing once....forgot to switch off the ignition when prompted. I don't have a fancy scan tool like yours, mine's a $5.00 one from Bangood that works with my smart phone. :-)
Wow. You’re more than just a pretty face. 😜
Are you a one man show?
As in. You don’t have any employees, it’s just you wearing all hats in your business.
Fuck it TMU 😂🤦🏻♂️😬😬
I wouldn't recommend replacing with used one with different miles. They arrest people for that in state I live.
Is there any work around for this?
Blah! Who needs miles nowadays just change the oil every 3 months 😂
Karma for robbing old ladies
