    Loving your vids James. Unlike most other channels you’re actually a true commercial photographer showing real world on the job shoots, which is amazing. I shoot mostly products and fitness so I can relate more to these vids than those other typical portraiture channels.

    Awesome bts footage. Thank you. Love the creative use of the lights and environment. I just used my R5 for a “real” gig at a shoot with a rowing team yesterday. I’ve never done rowing before, but the R5 did the hard part of keeping the athletes in focus while I composed the shots. Omg the camera is a beast! The only missed shots were when the sun gave me too much glare and that’s my fault. (For outdoors I only use one main light and the sun as a backlight)
    Thanks again for sharing how you do you.

      @@QuantzPhoto I agree. Your results are spectacular and very inspiring. I really appreciate you showing us your working life. I have some gear, some athletes and plenty of enthusiasm but I am limited by bad yellow/pale wooden gym spaces and less access to set up multiple lights. Gyms are booked constantly and I usually get an hour to run through like half a team at a time. Its manic, thank you for the run sheet tip that's very useful. I love seeing that you used an access tunnel and nice clean wall, but we don't have such a space. I would love to see you problem solve some of these issues with a quick say 2/3 light set up and horrible backgrounds. ( the striped v flat boards you used is a great idea I will keep in mind- not to copy but to provide an artificial background I could use). Many thanks again. You are amazing.

    Great video sir, keep it up. As someone trying to break in to the sports market, while not even close to your level, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. I really want to provide dramatic and moving sports images for my customers. It seems most around me are just boring. I think more effort should be put into these types of photos, even at youth and high school levels. I use an EOS R and am amazed at the eye tracking as well as the features. I can only imagine how much better the R5 is. Like you, I switch from Nikon and have realized how much better the camera system is. I laugh about the zoom ring as it took me a while to get used to it. You’re basically saying the same thing I was. That being said, I see no reason to ever go back to Nikon. Not bashing them at all but Canon menus and now cameras are way ahead. I never realized how terrible Nikons menus were until I used canon and then tried to help someone change a setting on the Nikon. Took me a minute to remember how to change a simple setting. Thanks again for the content...and yes, I’m in the 20% who watch and are subscribed.

    • @QuantzPhoto
      @QuantzPhoto  4 роки тому

      Hey Jay, if you watch my viewfinder comparison in the first Canon R5 video you'll see that when you are shooting bursts there is only blackout after the first image and then there are micro-second delays between the rest of the image captures. It's just a different look (and feel) from the usual mirror blackout you get with the optical viewfinder on a DSLR. No problems with Canon colors out of the R5. I think the R6 has a slight magenta hue in comparison(which you can see in my R5/R6 video). Thanks for watching!

      James Quantz Jr I think I missed the first R5 I will check it out. I was considering the r6 since we do volume sports, just don’t need those big R5 files. And saving a little $$ on several bodies is a plus. Is the color shift on the R6 mean the camera is a no go for you?

      @@jayboatwright1719 Gotcha, the color shift isn't a big deal and I probably need to do more tests to confirm. The R6 produces really nice work so no worries with that camera at all - check the comparisons with the R5 in that video if you have the time.

    Do those 2 large silver umbrellas in the rear ever cause flair issues?

    • @QuantzPhoto
      @QuantzPhoto  Місяць тому +1

      Not usually when I keep them out of frame.

    What aperture are you shooting at? Are all photos with the 24-105 f4?

    • @QuantzPhoto
      @QuantzPhoto  4 роки тому

      I believe I was anywhere from f5 to f8 depending on the setup and using the 24-70 2.8

    Hi James, does it get hot or overheat while taking stills?

    • @QuantzPhoto
      @QuantzPhoto  4 роки тому

      Hey A D, as far as I know it can’t overheat and prevent you from taking photos. It will get warm if you leave it on for an extended period of time.
