Impressive
Henry, engine is looking good so far! Those little cracks inside are nothing. Every motorcycle engine i ever rebuilt has those inside. It's something to do with aluminum casting. Aluminum car engines look the same. Its not easy to do what your doing here with 3 torn apart engines. Early in the video, i thought i heard Hank talking a couple of times. Was he there helping? LOL. Roger
Wow you did a lot of work today nice job
Thanks Frank
Henry... go on partstree or e -replacement parts and put in engine model # and it will give you a breakdown of the engine
I did that! I'm finished
Have the same exact engine on my cub cadet lawn tractor runs great I change oil often
Oh man! I’m gonna cry for/with you if it doesn’t work out! Fingers crossed it will! Love ya the new outro by the way.
Thx jason
Good video Henry! Just wondering maybe the "cracks" on the inside of the block might be casting marks. Not sure, but, think it might be the case.
This is true and let’s hope it is in his case! Fingers crossed!
Dont forget the oil,,
Thanks for the reminder
this is a fun channel!!!
Great video Henry! Just curious but does this engine use aluminum pushrod for both exhaust and intake? I only ask because the both look the same.
They’re both identical and interchangeable. If they were steel, it wouldn’t have broke in the first place. Terrible engines.
Where does that green wire connection go that with the red wire that connects to the carburetor silinoid????
I looked and I can't seem to find where that green wire connects to. I would really appreciate it if u can help.
Ground, it attaches to the engine block
That's how I feel. I will never work on one EVER again.
@Harper Christian wtf? lol
So I see you used your dewalt impact to put on the sump cover. I have to (re) do some repairs on this POS engine this weekend. I have the same impact driver. Did you just let that impact keep going until it couldn't tighten any more, or did you stop at some point before?
Kept going until it didn't turn the bolt anymore, I've tested the strength with a torque wrench before, it's about 200 inch lbs, about the usual Briggs spec. Good enough for me bro!
@@MowersNBlowers Thanks so much. I'm tearing into mine this weekend. I'm hoping I can keep it going until I get a decent Briggs to replace it with since the mower itself is in nearly perfect shape (cub cadet lt1045 that I bought for $50)
The aluminum rings that slip over the crank and bolt to the balancer with two bolts, do you know what they are called? one of mine busted and balancer hit up against the case, not sure why
They’re called synchro balancer links
@@MowersNBlowers have you ever seen them for sale, seems like they are unavailable?
did i hear you say you were in canada? happen to have a sv590 crankcase? bought a dirt cheap zero turn thought it just needed a head gasket but now finding out it has a couple cracks in the crankcase as well... guessing from the guy running it with the block head gasket.
No , Long Island NY, but I love Canada!
It brakes push rod because the valve guide have moved because it got too hot
if you ever need a aluminum block tig welded lemme know :D
Thanks bro, where you at? NY? Long Island?
@@MowersNBlowers im in Missouri .
@@wildchild1161 shipping a block to you and back would be enough to buy a new engine. Lol, but thanks
anyone know is the sv725 can be ran on its side for a go kart?
Vertical shaft engines cannot be placed on its side or the fuel and oil will drip out. You need a horizontal shaft engine
no way to modify it being a pressure lube system? just wondering if it's possible 🤷
@Jesse riding no it’s not possible! At least not easier than just putting the right engine on or have gravity pull sideways
well crud... thanks for the insight!
@@Legend869 super fabricator experts could make an intake manifold for the carburetor but you cant avoid the oil.
Damn, dude. Don't drive and make a video. Christ.
I’m getting better! I’m watching the road though!
