I have the CVLife 6-24x50 on my .270 long range rifle. I got it knowing it was a less expensive option, but I do like it. The difference in magnification is kinda upsetting but I have found with my CVLife, you have to adjust the front focus (objective lens) to best match the distance you are trying to focus on, then adjust the eye piece focus. It’s a little more time consuming but I’ve found it’s like driving a manual car, it’s more involved thus more fun lol. This is a very good comparison though, good video. I would say that the CVLife is a good scope at a cheap price that will get you out to 500+ yards easy, you just have to fiddle with the focus. Mine has no problem holding zero even with the respectable kick of a .270.
Well maybe if he had opened the window and screen the optic may have worked better as far as the clarity issue...dirty screen and window doesn’t help the honest evaluation...
I understand what you're saying & yes, there's clearly a difference in the Target/ocular relationship, but his isn't a good scientific example.......the last two scope examples (on my screen) have 158mm & 123mm ocular diameters respectively, proving a difference in camera lens magnification which would significantly effect the result.
That rainbow color effect is called chromatic aberration. It is due to cheap lens that are not coated at all or coated improperly to keep all the wavelengths of light in synch with each other.
It`s part of you get what you pay for. Most I heard say that the actual X-power varies scope to scope ,I have a 6x32 scope and it zooms good but is it real 32x I dont know but it looks good. Might be an assembly issue with that one. More like improperly made part. Ive heard of people doing warranty with these scopes but is it worth it in the long run , cheaper to buy another $45 scope.

Did you adjust the parallax. It’s the front lense adjustment. It should fix this.
As far as FOCUS the filmy window leaves alot to be desired!! Mine is as clear as my Tasco Scope of the same Magnification...

I got one and it does not do what yours is doing. At 100 yards it is pretty good.
What do you expect if it's a little bit off or a whole lot off it's a $30 scope
