Hum, I think not enough clicks, target at 100 yards, most scopes 1 click = 1/4" to 1" at 50 yards 2 clicks or 4 clicks = 1" at 25 yards 4 or 8 clicks = 1" pending the moa, plus your parallax needed to be set to the distance. So how far away was your target? Looked like 50 yards to me, so the AO needed adjusting for that plus set to 100% zoom. To my understanding on the Pinty 1 click = 1/8" at 100 yards so this means the Pintny would need 8 clicks to move 1" poi at 100 yards, 16 clicks at 50 yards, and 32 clicks at 25 yards. With that said the poi did move exactly where it was supposed to from what I can tell.
Appreciate the breakdown on “clicks”. Speaking for myself.. I usually do my best to get same hole groupings at 45-50 yards. Then take it out to 100 yards. However, sometimes I’ll bore sight a bolt gun at 100 yards and do my best to adjust with the correct amount of clicks. I would state a greater area of focus is the “consistency of the shooter”. Stabilizing the rifle, holding steady, clean trigger pull, etc. Lots of other little factors can throw off the shot.
@@LongshoresOutdoors Absolutely, and bunches of fun too, myself although it takes more clicks to move the poi I do like the 1/8th" better for achieving tighter groups. That rifle you are using appears to be very accurate, with such a rifle I would bait my targets with a little jelly or peanut butter to bring flies when family or friends come to visit from California then I show them how we kill flies around here. They get a big kick out of it the first time doing it for them. Oh, and the way I sight it in with the 1/8th" movement I fire one shot and then have someone adjust the turrets for me while I hold the rifle steady to match up the poi I just made. Some day I may invest in a vise so I can do it without help, anyhow, really enjoyed your presentation I have been thinking about buying a Pinty scope, it is what brought me here, thank you.

I've always took and shoot Luke 5 rounds of I had a tight group I would move my crosshairs over to the group and then I would right on .
