Russell Crowe had one of the best responses to being mocked on South Park I think. The "fightin' 'round the world" bit.
Don't want to be that guy but I'm gonna be that guy. The marcomannic wars were a defensive war against a coalition of germanic tribes who invaded roman territory so Marcus Aurelius wasn't really an expansionist warmonger.
God, I hate the internet. Every conversation you get this guy coming in saying "myaah the marcomannic wars were a defensive war against a coalition of germanic tribes who invaded roman territory blah blah blah". Can't we just have ONE conversation without you sticking your nose in?
@@mahna_mahna Big Marcomanni trying to silence the people
@@mahna_mahna I've not started the day unless I've mentioned the marcomannic wars were a defensive war and I'm never changing that.
@@mahna_mahna it's just a meme at this point ... some people
If memory serves, Ridley and Russel re-created the "That's coooool!!!!!" moment in Robin Hood, during the final fight on the beach.
That was the funniest Caravan of Garbage you've done in ages. The edits were so fucking good!
Frenzal Rhomb has a song about Russell Crowe's band 🤘🎶
Dude at 11:01 is brave as hell.
11:02 Russel Crowe’s face says it all. “Yep I’m dressed as a Roman and that’s a literal tiger”
I remember getting the dvd of Gladiator had one of the most stunning menu screens... still absolutely love it.
15:44 But why Gerudo Town theme?
It's arguably the best theme in Ocarina of Time (to me anyway, and that's cool)
I feel like 80s Harrison Ford could've pulled off Maximus pretty well. Russel has the same "family man / can kill you in a second but in a vulnerable way" vibe.
8:27 actually, all of Marcus arelius’ wars were defensive. He added no land to the empire
The historically accurate ending to the movie would’ve given us an alternate finale with Russel Crowe strangling Jaoquin Phoenix in a bathtub / roman jacuzzi. We missed out on a real steamy action scene 😂
Well it IS accurate to say emperor Commodus fought in the collusiem, he just didn't die there.
Master/ Commander was AWESOME! Surround Sound really elevates the experience.
That’s got to be the wildest use of the MGS theme. A toddler decapitating a seagull.
“Fix the Roman Empire”…
“I wanna go home” 😂😂😂
Hot take: Kingdom of Heaven directors cut is on par with Gladiator.
I’m hoping the three are Gladiator, Master & Commander, and Les Mis.
