Creating ectoplasmic ki to create a concious entity is crazy to think about! I hope we can get more of this and them and unique abilities like this in the Future.
Humans actually have this ability to a certain degree as we can create what's called thought forms that are purely imagination, but they can have a real effect on personal circumstances. These thought forms can even influence other people on a subliminal level similar to a telepathic message. In other words, you can implant thoughts into other people's minds when they think it's their own thoughts. Then there's what's called tulpas, which you probably already know what that is, but they're basically an avatar that you generate in your imagination, and when they're given enough time and energy to develop, they will take on a life of their own in your mind without the conscious input of your imagination.

This single move made Gotenks my favorite character as a kid. This is some yardrat-level ki/spirit control. I always wanted to see more from gotenks, his techniques are some of the most creative.
With all the moves Gotenks has at his disposal and his ability to not only make up new moves on the fly but perform them with minimal practice time shows his outlandish ki control! I mean, he learned to become Super Saiyan 3 just by watching Goku transform once! The kid's got incredible talent. Give him a comic book! Lol
Goten & Trunks, and by extension Gotenks are one of the most underutilized characters in the franchise.

I’d say the most underutilized character is chiaotzu. That one scene in super when he held back Goku with telekinesis blew my mind. Imagine if Toriyama gave him a training period and put him in the tournament of power. Chiaotzu probably would have been more pivotal than Frieza
This move was always interesting to me considering Gotenks created life with this. It’s also pretty strong since SSJ Gotenks could’ve killed Buu with this and in the anime, Super Vegito admitted Buuhan almost killed him with this move.
Theyre not really alive, theyre ectoplasmic beings, clones of yourself.. just energy.. Cell Jrs. were alive cause they were actual eggs that hatched, Super Ghost arent..
I really loved this move, it's so unique and creative, I voted for this one cause it was so mind-blowing to me cause the first time I saw it I was trying so hard to understand how this thing could possibly work, so awesome!

@@niveshrohan1829 No its not. Writing supervisors make sure the story works. They don't care about lore. Or even that the story makes sense. They also don't make up fan theories like geekdom does
Vegeto also made fun of that move because back when gotenks became SSJ3 and used that ghost move outside the chamber, goku saw that with the Supreme kai's through the crystal ball as well as when Super Buu using that against Ultimate Gohan. So being part of Vegeto, he was already aware of the move and abilities minus the kamehameha and galick gun.
This kind of technique fits so well with the sensibilities of classic Dragon Ball, and what qualifies as legitimate martial arts in that earlier version of the world.
That artwork that appears in minute 1:30 is just crazy awesome! I dont know who that artist is, but hes always been my favorite from the original DB artwork from the 80s and 90s. Hes a beast!

To be fair, I could understand if Goten and/or Trunks couldn't do the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack individually.
As kind of a comparison, I'd compare it to how we haven't seen (correct me if I'm wrong) Goku or Vegeta individually use the Stardust Breaker, nor is there concrete evidence at this point in time that such a feat is possible (again, only to my knowledge)

The fact that they are made of ki clears up a lot of questions I had about how Gotenks was able to create these things.
This is definitely one of my favorite techniques, and fights (Gotenks and Buu), and the 10 super ghosts kamikaze attack was kinda silly and hilarious

Lethal from gotenks... he was aiming for the head when he created this.
I mean goten just met his father and then had to say goodbye in less than a day. Trunks lost his father to the monster, goten lost his mother and assumed he lost his brother too. Amplify all those emotions into one fused being. Oh yeah, they weren't just going for the head, they were hitting every vital organ at once

Great video. Been waiting for this one for ages! I think you should of added why the super ghosts didn’t change to super Saiyan 3 when Gotenks went super Saiyan 3. Compared to when inside Buu they looked like super Saiyan 3. If I recall I think this is a filler episode but still. Would another video on this technique guide.
Main Buu vs Gotenks was an underrated fight. I liked the lighthearted comedy in it considering how dark Buu arc was.

You could do a whole mini series just on Gotenks moveset, that was always the main reason i used him in the games, his extensive moveset and also because he was always the only other one who could use SSJ3

I kind of feel like the fact that Buu could create the ghosts after Gotenks had already split within him, returning to just Goten and Trunks, lends credence to the idea that the kids can do the move individually, otherwise how could he even make it work at that point?
Buu saga was the icing on the cake for me. The cherry on top. People always compare it to the first 3 sagas.. just enjoy

I finally got the chance to finish the German dub of DBS just the other day and it´s been delightful. They call Kefla "Kafla" here, I had to get used to it but now I really like it.
Plus, I can´t recommend often enough to check out the original DBZ German dub. They did some incredible work there throughout.
Awesome video as always, this is one of the weirdest techniques ever but it's definitely one of the best in the entire series. When is the next Transformation Guide video coming out btw and what will it be on? I know you're moving onto Super now which I know has a ton of transformations between the anime and the manga, but I was wondering you'll be doing a video on Vegeta's "mutation" when he raged out on Beerus and was said to be stronger than SS3 Goku and I've been wondering if that is considered a new form or is that just a raged out version of SS2? Also one of the most interesting transformations that barely gets any recognition that we unfortunately never saw in action was the failed SSG ritual form when Goku gets energy from Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, & Goten but even though that wasn't the correct way to do the ritual, it was stated that Goku's power was greater than ever before and was also technically a new form so will that also be included in the Transformation Guide? Even though there's not much info on either of those forms I do hope you cover them in the series because those are by far the best content on your channel which is a major plus because all of your content is on point so thanks for the consistency man!

It reminds me a bit of a technique by Deidara from Naruto. Gotenks has awesome techniques and ridiculous potential.

Gotenks was such an awesome character. I remember when everyone wanted him to show up in GT. Its sad that he is just confined to his small space of existence. Even in the video games he was always a powerful character. Now he's just kind of forgotten.
