When people don't realise, Yamcha wasn't weaker then a Saibamen. He was also wrecking the little guy, until Vegeta intimidated the little guy into going suicide bomber on Yamcha. Yamcha was on par with both krillin and Tien at that moment, but his over confidence led to his downfall. And sadly or gloriously it became a meme.
I know it's fun to bash Yamcha, but I still wish we got to see him in the Tournament of Power. Having Roshi fighting alongside Goku, Yamcha, and Krllin for a turtle hermit school Kamehameha would have been so awesome to see. Same if he used the Wolf Fang Fist on one of the weaker fighters in the tournament.
Yamcha would most likely lose to Frost because I believe there is still a power gap between the two looking at the strength of Frost during the Universe 6 Tournament Arc(which he was able to go against Goku in his SSJ transformation but wasn’t able to defeat him,resorting to using the poison stored within his arm)
This was what I wanted to see, too. Though Tien can actually use the Kamehameha. They just never really show him using it, besides his battle with Roshi back in the original Dragon Ball, as far as I know.
One time I was imagining a moment when Yamcha progresses through dragon thoroughly in like some time skip, and gains a technique similar to Might Guys "Night Guy Technique" except like he rushes in like some sorta giant wolf made of white ki. Idk I just thought it would be cool for Yamcha's moment so shine to be like that.
They need to recycle the Style, Have somebody appear who is a master of the style too or have yamcha reappear and introduce a student he has been training behind the scenes in the Wolf Gail fist. Have this student as a New character and addition to the team. He would be actually strong enough to fight along side the other fighters due to other training from masters. His technique is original and I wish and hate they didn't throw it away with him.
Yamcha is honestly my second favourite character in the franchise. I hate when people make fun of him or underestimate him just because Toriyama murdered his character.

@@NinjaKIngAce Reminder that Yamcha was never taught by nobody about martial arts and was putting his life on the line everyday by trying to steal from people who were passing by in the desert in order to survive, while Goku a saiyan kid who was taught to fight by his Grandpa Gohan was against him. So Yamcha was already against harsh conditions to begin with and for him to win, later on to be in par with the other humans and to be able to cope with the same training that Goku shows how much of a wasted potential he and the other humans were. Real shame what toriyama did to all of them in order to keep providing the eye candy that the Saiyans transformations provided.

Yamcha was so good with ki. We don't just see it with his Roga Fufu Ken but also with his Sokidan. Yamcha's skill with ki is so great he can freely control it once he's already expelled it from his body and maintain it's shape even after it connects with enemy. And he's effectively self taught which means he developed all those skills from scratch. I suppose that's why Toriyama kept making a joke out of him; to take the piss out of other martial arts anime/mangas that made such a huge deal out of that stuff. Oh well. At least there's fanfiction.
That's not a unique skill. Goku does it regularly, and it's a basic factor in the Special Beam Cannon having a second concentration of Ki whose entire job is to wrap around the first one to create a drilling effect. Broly also remotely controls the trajectory of his Blaster Shells, and he scatters whole barrages of them Vegeto creating a sword out of Ki that ends at a sharp tip and maintains its shape even after piercing the target is far more impressive than just flailing around a ki ball the way Yamcha does

They all quit and pick it back up. He stopped competing seriously.. but he's training again in Super. And he didn't let himself go so he probably stayed in shape.

I've always loved this move. I always found it pretty badass when he went for the final strike and the visuals make his open plams an actual wolf's fangs.

Shenmue 3 goes into a bit of the details on the different animals used in martial arts. You go to multiple different masters to find out what special animal techniques this one villain uses because you CANNOT beat him until learn the weakness. It was a pretty cool part of the game.
@Lakers fan Its because Dragon Ball downplays the early fighters to make the new threat look even more menacing. Look at what happened when Trunks showed up killed Frieza then warn us about the Androids. Since Yamcha was the frist threat he quickly became less and less powerful.
Yamcha invented two moves that are very cool to me. Wolf fang fist was always so cool when it came out even if Yamcha ultimately lost the fight, and the sokidan/spirit ball is still one of the greatest showings of ki control we've seen in my opinion.
Great video, I would just add that yamcha also used the roga fufu ken against the saibanman initially during the fight, he upgraded it by added a flip kick seeing that the saibanman was dodging and blocking the butterfly or shower of punches, also goku used it against majinbu with his palms together giving him energy hits.
Was at a book story today and picked up a random volume of the original dragonball and it started off with the tournament fight with yamcha. I was really impressed with how well the fight looked in the manga for it being so old haha

Let's not overlook the fact that Yamcha's Wolf Fang Fist,, in addition to being the first technique ever done, came out years before the Kaio-Ken technique. While obviously less powerful and more situational than the Kaio-Ken, it's an interesting find nonetheless.

I’m just gonna say I liked yamchas first design the best when he was actually tough tbh he actually became kinda irrelevant during dragon ball because goku surpassed him by so much at one point
You know with the way to describe it. The Wolf Fang Fist sounds like a prototype to the Kaioken. The idea of enhancing all of your physical abilities and senses for a short time but needing to condition your body to handle it. All the more reason it's sad Yamcha and Tien never learned Kaioken. Yamcha seems to have been made for it.
I had an idea to improve yamcha's wolf fang fist he should learn to shape his Ki into energy claws that surrounds his hands that would give his strikes more of a kick
I hope in the future when dragonball returns, they would give yamcha an arc where he can enhance his wolf fang fist (like tien's "neo-tri beam") that can let him hit harder and faster that even overpowered characters wouldnt be able to handle it. When we play the games and use the technique, its legit fucking op. The combo, and the stacking of damage until the last hit is insane. If yamcha can do a better version of it now, he may return the magic of "MARTIAL ARTS" in dragonball again, since everyone is too obsessed with ki power ups and beams rather than the original theme of DB. Like, he doesnt need to be powered up that hard, but just him being able to knock the super saiyan out of the saiyans with the technique would be pretty cool.

@Lakers fan Its because Dragon Ball downplays the early fighters to make the new threat look even more menacing. Look at what happened when Trunks showed up killed Frieza then warn us about the Androids. Since Yamcha was the frist threat he quickly became less and less powerful.

Yamcha invented two moves that are very cool to me. Wolf fang fist was always so cool when it came out even if Yamcha ultimately lost the fight, and the sokidan/spirit ball is still one of the greatest showings of ki control we've seen in my opinion.
He'll always be my favorite human, and I really hope one of the people running Dragonball let him finally achieve his dream of getting married.
Great video, I would just add that yamcha also used the roga fufu ken against the saibanman initially during the fight, he upgraded it by added a flip kick seeing that the saibanman was dodging and blocking the butterfly or shower of punches, also goku used it against majinbu with his palms together giving him energy hits.
Was at a book story today and picked up a random volume of the original dragonball and it started off with the tournament fight with yamcha. I was really impressed with how well the fight looked in the manga for it being so old haha

Let's not overlook the fact that Yamcha's Wolf Fang Fist,, in addition to being the first technique ever done, came out years before the Kaio-Ken technique. While obviously less powerful and more situational than the Kaio-Ken, it's an interesting find nonetheless.

It didn't require ki. Unlike the Wolf Fang Fist it was just goku using rock paper scissors as a move

You know with the way to describe it. The Wolf Fang Fist sounds like a prototype to the Kaioken. The idea of enhancing all of your physical abilities and senses for a short time but needing to condition your body to handle it.
All the more reason it's sad Yamcha and Tien never learned Kaioken. Yamcha seems to have been made for it.

I hope in the future when dragonball returns, they would give yamcha an arc where he can enhance his wolf fang fist (like tien's "neo-tri beam") that can let him hit harder and faster that even overpowered characters wouldnt be able to handle it. When we play the games and use the technique, its legit fucking op. The combo, and the stacking of damage until the last hit is insane. If yamcha can do a better version of it now, he may return the magic of "MARTIAL ARTS" in dragonball again, since everyone is too obsessed with ki power ups and beams rather than the original theme of DB. Like, he doesnt need to be powered up that hard, but just him being able to knock the super saiyan out of the saiyans with the technique would be pretty cool.
