DIAGNOSIS:
March 19th, 2021 Stage IIIA Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (Non-Smoking)
February 2022 Stage IV Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (spreading to Brain, and other parts of lung and lymph nodes)
Gene Mutation EGFR with Exon 20 Insertion
TREATMENTS: Received or currently Receiving
2021: 8 Rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin and Paclitaxel) with 30 concurrent radiation treatments to chest and lung
Failed Immunotherapy directly after Chemo and Radiation (Durvalumab, 1 round)
2022: Chemotherapy
10 rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin, Alimta, and Avastin)
6 with Carboplatin, 4 without
Targeted Brain Radiation (Completed)
CURRENT TREATMENT:
I am on a clinical trial for my specific gene mutation

The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my family.

What is a "canker sore" please? Is it a mouth ulcer?

My brother’s wife was the most loving lady, she died 6 weeks after giving birth to their son. Colon cancer just suddenly went rampant without warning. It was so sad and all they had was 3 years of marriage - she was 29 😞

I have to ask why these replies are necessary and why under my positive comment. This sweet girl is fighting with a great positive, healthy attitude. I’m certain she is aware that some people in this world have not survived many types of cancer. I am a retired OR nurse married to a surgeon and we had many conversations about how important a positive attitude is. I can remember him canceling a surgery because the patient didn’t think it would be a good outcome. Attitude and positive thinking are a major part of recovery. You’ve got this, girl! 💕

@Anastashya that also happened to my brother inlaws wife in 2017. She went to the Emergency room with pain in her stomach area and they checked & she had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She died in the hospital that night. So shocking they had a beautiful daughter and a baby boy & her daughter was old enough to understand and she was so heart broken. They're baby boy probably missed her. It was so sad 😞 as well as shocking. She didn't have a clue she had pancreatic cancer let alone stage 4 & she died really fast. I think of her often and I freak out everytime I get any pain in my stomach after everything. Wow so shocking.

I love that Kyle is superstitious, especially regarding your health, Jenny. Those of us that are faithful yet superstitious take the health of our loved ones seriously so although I’m laughing I’m totally getting it. 😂😂😂
I've always had canker sores and gaping ones too. There's a supplement called L-Lysine that I helps a lot if you take it frequently the instant you feel one coming on. Cut mine in less than half as far as healing time. :)

Kyle when you were talking about getting canker sores from gluten I thought about a girl I watch on UA-cam that has a disease where she can't eat gluten either. She gets sores and skin breakouts not to mention stomach problems. After seeing her go through health problems from gluten I feel bad for you!! I'm praying for you Kyle and for Jenny to keep getting glimmers of hope and fulfillment of those glimmers of hope 🙏

Seems like you have dermatitis herpetiformis. Get a igG dgp blood test. Real simple blood test to see if you are celiac that involves sores/rashes etc.

I use Carmax on my mouth and noses using a clean q-tip 😊not to contaminate my lip balm. It help dry the sores out quicker

When I feel a canker coming on, I take 1,000mg of Lysine (available over the counter) for a few days and if I start early, I can avoid getting the canker. A dentist suggested it years ago and I'll be forever grateful. It doesn't work for everyone, but I'm lucky.
I used to get canker sores all the time (I am personally allergic to peanuts and peanut butter). I take a zinc capsule everyday and no longer break out with canker sores. I have taken zinc capsules for many years everyday and can even eat a homemade peanut butter cookie (or five, ha ha) once in a while and do not have breakouts, but that is after taking zinc capsules everyday for over ten years now. I don't know if zinc lozanges would help since your breakout is current. I used to have to go to the Dr. for prescription meds before (zinc will not hurt you it will build your imunity up) it would be worth a try. I pray for both of you, please Lord Jesus heal my friends.

I know I'm late to the party, but canker sores with gluten is a symptom of celiac disease. It's sometimes the only symptom. Kyle should be tested. Love you all!
So sorry for cold sores. Try Abreva if you haven't already. Works really well especially if you start it as soon as you feel the blister coming on. Yall are the cutest couple ever! Continued prayers for your healing.
Yes I get those canker sores alot..the doctor says stress brings them on..food doesn't cause mine but they hurt really bad..I have to take a virus medicine everyday for mine..

Kyle I've gotten cancer sores all my life and I'm over 60. I think there's certain things that trigger them. For me I've finally noticed in older age that Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) more than 500 mg does it for me. Rose hips is better. Also too much sugar. I drink kefir for probiotics. When I was 30 - 40 I asked my doctor for numbing oral gel so I could eat. Jenny you are such a trooper, I'm proud of you for your strength. I'm glad you have great support from your husband!💙❤️💜

I get them and they hurt so bad they just make you feel so miserable and my friend went and bought some invasol yesterday he said it numbs it but it just makes you miserable and I don't know I've always been told it's stress causes it I never know anything about gluten I'm sure I eat gluten but I never heard that I just I know they're miserable saltwater maybe and ambers of numb it but they got stuffed out on the market for it but they're miserable I just I feel yucky all over it just takes forever to get better too but I don't

To bad you don't have someone who could come stay at your place when you and Kyle go to the hospital that way the kids could stay home. If you have a guest room the person could just sleep over.
Does he have a fever? If not it could be gluten! If he is a baker he can make his own gluten-free bread. My brother has celiac disease and he does make his own bread!
